Things to Come: A tale of Death and the Shadows

The shadows of the crosses in the Death Room seemed to flicker unnaturally in Ebony's presence. With each step the Warlock took, the tension seemed to rise. To his left was Vinnie, a person that was rather easy to spy on due to his late night activities. It was well established that he was both a Kishin Egg and had relations to the DWMA, from what Ebony had witnissed. Who would have thought the day would ever come when a Kishin Egg would lead a Witch to the Shinigami in the intrest of helping him?

To his right was another person. A meister, maybe? This man's face didn't seem familiar to him, but, after much thought on the trip to this room, he faintly recalled something about Rufus? It wasn't too importaint anymore, Rufus had stopped being a part of his plans for a while now.

Ebony, the Warlock of shadows, finally stopped and stood before his sworn enemy, Death. "I appologize in advance if anything I say comes off as insulting, but there's a much... larger threat that's come to my attention. Well, two or three threats, to be more exact. If nothing is done about them then this world will face a dangerous foe that hasn't been matched since the rebirth of Asura. I believe you're familiar with at least one or two of the beings I'm talking about, right?"

Vinnie and Gabriel took a step back. They wanted to hear what was said but stand by to stop his retreat if the warlock ran away.

Lord Death stood with Sylas and Spirit. The two Death Scythes looked more than a little annoyed at each other, and if the wavelengths beneath Lord Death's was an indication, blows may have just been prevented by their arrival. The weapons took their places at their master's side, and Lord Death moved forward a bit, looking at the. "You refer to the three kishin, Glaucon, Inker, and Nebun, correct?"

"Almost correct...." Ebony mentioned, staring deeply into the dark holes of the Shinigami's expressionless white mask with his own expressionless white mask. "Inker, while dangerous, seems to posess very little immediate threat. Unlike another being that I stumbled across, a Witch Hunter with a red coat. While not as powerful, I can tell he's been calculating several threats at once. I have reason to believe he's planning to side with Glaucon and attempt to either control or destroy Nebun. A task that seems more possible by the fact that he's already gained control of a small group of students at the academy through various means."

The Warlock stopped for a moment to let that thought sink in. The Academy was already in potential danger, even if there weren't any major conflicts....

"If they succeed, then there will be little hope of stopping all three of them. Well... little hope unless certain assets are used to make the first move.......... Nebun remains the larger threat and the easier situation to deal with since it will take time to find out which students are under the Witch Hunter's control and Glaucon remains... difficult to normally track. Which is why I'm willing to provide some of the Warlock Strix's more usefull inventions as well as my services to help get into contact with some groups that have had their share of disagreements with the DWMA in the past."

Death looked to first Spirit, and then to Sylas, then back to Ebony. "What groups?"

Nebun walked out from behind death with his usual sadistic grin "Oh, how cute. Don't tell me your going to try and kill me again, after all we've been through together." He walks through ebony, a puff of smoke revealing his intangible state. He was not truly there.

There were some big players in the death room tonight. Vinnie and Gabriel kept a vigelent eye on everyone.

"Oh, I believe you're familiar with the first canidate. A being by the name of Reaver." Ebony's head twitched to the side slightly before resetting to it's normal position. "I have stopped monitoring his 'university' long ago, but I recently discovered that the Kishin himself is still alive. In fact, from what I witnissed of the encounter, he was already attempting to put aside past differences to fight Glaucon.... My attention was needed for another matter shortly after making that observation, but I'm sure your own Death Scythe can fill you in on the details. If Reaver has any members left in his group, they would be a powerful ally. I believe it won't be hard for me to find him."
 
The Warlock's head twisted again, this time making a snapping sound. "And then there's the remainder of Strix's group. Once a mighty and growing threat before he simply dissapeared... I doubt even St. Enid could find that Warlock at this point, but I have managed to discover a way to use his connections to his members to locate and contact them. Those remaining members, as well as the Golems he formed and a few of his more... experimental projects.... Will also prove useful. If you can get them to hear out your cause, you'll have the necessary warriors to put together the most powerful team to date! DWMA, Kishin, and Witches fighting side by side to defeat a common foe."

Right as he finished, Nebun appeared in the room. There was no way he would be able to hear any of what had been said other than the final sentence, if anything. Ebony glared over at the Demon Blade, wondering what Death's plan would be.

Sylas stared apathetically at the vision of Nebun. Spirit looked angry, though his posture was relaxed. Lord Death looked at the apparition, eyes turning angry. His voice was different from before, the jovial tone gone, replaced only by malice. "You have no place here, demon. Release your apparition."

Nebun turns to death, a shaky breath escaping his lips. Not one of fear or anger, but joy "Lord Death, I do beleive this is the first time we've met. Why would you wish to kill me? I'm a full kishin, probably one of the few beings in this world that exists on your level shinigami." He smiles indulgently "we're like...family"
