Appearance: Bentley stands at approximately 6'1", boasting an athletic, if average-sized, frame. His grey-blue hair is medium length and unruly, partially by his own apathy towards containing it. His eyes carry a violet hue, serving as a fitting distraction from his exceptionally thin eyebrows, a fact that he often finds embarrassment in. Beneath his clothing, Bentley bears faint, but noticeable, scars along his left arm, extending from the shoulder to the elbow as a result of burns in his youth. He bears similar scars on his hands. To this end, he often wears bandages around his palms that run midway up his forearms. His taste in clothing rests solely on comfort and the concealment of his scars. He is most comfortable in a plain tee, a navy hooded sweashirt, khaki chinos, and his high-top sneakers, though he will change on a whim. The only static pieces of his attire are an anchor necklace and heavy, black headphones that are always kept on his head or around his neck.

Personality: Bentley is recognised for his cheerful, aloof attitude. His mind and his body rarely seem to occupy the same space, his train of thought jumping and ricocheting like a pinball. Though it often infuriates his peers, he maintains this front for his own protection. In reality, his liveliness and penchant for constant jokes serve as a self-defense mechanism. He relies on his quick wit and cheerfulness as a means of covering up his glaring social anxieties and evading talk of his past. When on a mission, his aloofness is abandoned in lieu of a quiet and stern demeanor until its completion, an attitude that some believe is his true nature. He holds a high regard for his friends and possesses no tolerance for anyone who would endanger them, slipping into a blind rage should one be gravely injured or worse. Though he won't admit it, Bentley revels in combat as he considers it the only time his chaos is not out of place.

History: Bentley's early home would be in a small apartment building in New York City, which he shared with his parents and younger sister. He would learn that his landlord was a corrupt man with ties to local mobs, periodically increasing the rent as he saw fit. Despite the injustices he witnessed, Bentley would remain a firm believer in the idea that humans were inherently good and that bad people were merely victims of circumstance. When he was 14, Bentley and his family were one of many to be caught in a building fire. Separated from his parents by a collapsed roof, he would have to be forcibly removed by firefighters. Awakening in the hospital, Bentley remembered little except the screams of his parents amidst the flames. It wasn't until he met the firefighter who had saved him and his sister that he realised the screams were his own as he had attempted to dislodge the burning debris with his bare hands. In time, he would learn that the fire was started by the same corrupt landlord, who had done so with the intent of collecting the insurance money on the building. It was in this moment that Bentley's optimism in mankind was broken. He understood that where the righteous walked, evil followed and that some evil was beyond saving. After his release, he would be relocated to an orphanage alongside his sister, where they would spend the next two years. He would learn to wear happiness like a mask, if only for his sister's sake. When he caught word of the DWMA's existence, Bentley seized the opportunity. After a tearful goodbye with his sister, he set out for Death City with one goal in mind: become strong enough to protect those who can't protect themselves. One day, he would return. In a city like New York, evil lurked around every corner and he intended to bring that evil to its knees.

Miscellaneous: Adopted a stray tortoiseshell cat, naming it Juno. Has a peculiar interest in origami and art, often doodling on notes or folding them as he sees fit. He is almost always playing music and is quick to defend his musical taste.
