Snack time! (Hektor & Me) (Closed)

Yui had become more accustomed to the regulations of DWMA which she accidentally enrolled in. But she could definitely get accustomed to the life she was having now she got her own room in the dorm. Though she hoped she never had to share it with anyone, it would be troublesome if someone found out what she really was when she had a weak moment. Another great thing about being a DWMA student was the allowance she got. It was more than she used to live on, and she easily managed live on those expenses, therefore every month she had enough money to atleast enjoy the last bit of money she had left. She went go to Deathbucks Café  with the leftover money she had. She ordered a slice of Chocolate cake and a hot chocolate, almost drooling at just the sweet smell of chocolate. It shifted her soul into a good mood, tinting it light blue, just like her eyes that shifted along from the usual purple. She thanked cashier and then quickly looked for a table to sit down. There was one free table in the corner, so she went to sit there. Stirring her hot chocolate expectantly.

Juro entered Deathbucks in a state that is expected of most students, TIRED. He groggily got a coffee from the cashier, paying for it with funds from the gratuitous allowance DWMA students received. He was about to leave when he noticed out of the corner of his eye a soul. It looked VERY similar to the other human souls around, but they were tiny alterations that most people with soul perception wouldn't have noticed, but when you've used it your entire life you tend to be a bit better with it then others. He noticed not only these tiny differences in the soul, like the shape and such, but he also noted that the soul CHANGED color, which isn't something a soul usually does. He moved over to her table and sat down with a smile on his face, not really remembering that that was extremely rude. "Hello! I'm sorry to bother you but I have a couple questions if you don't mind."

Yui noticed the boy sitting at her table. More specifically his eyes were covered, so he probably couldn't see. Then she remembered she had seen the guy before, he was the one who was fighting at the partnering class. Either he covered his eyes for training or he was actually blind. In both cases it might have meant her soul somehow drew his attention. However, she was in too much of a good mood to be fretting over people asking question.
"Go ahead."
She said with a smile. Taking a sip from the hot chocolate.

Juro tried to think of a not alarming question to start off, and came up with a good one in his opinion. "Are you a meister?" He asked politely. His smile didn't fade in the least, even though he was thinking that maybe this person with the strange soul might be a WITCH, which he couldn't fight alone.

Yui smiled. This guy was smart. He started off with really casual questions to make her feel comfortable.
"Yes. I am."
She scooped a bit of cake onto her fork and took a bite, savoring the taste chewing slowly.
"Looking for a weapon which I might be compatible with, still. And of course I am very excited to learn new things at DWMA, it's always great to learn new things."
She stirred the hot chocolate. The aroma of chocolate filling her nostrils.

Juro also enjoyed the smell of the chocolate but not as intimately as she did. He took a deep breath before continuing. "Well there are plenty of weapons, I'm sure you'll find one soon. But if not you'll have to find one eventually." He said, using a positive and comforting. "By the way you're eating a bunch of chocolate stuff right?" He asked, not as a question to try and make her comfortable, but because he was distracted by the chocolate and momentarily forgot why he was talking to her.

The girl nodded happiliy.
"I have patience. It will be fine."
It was impressive how much a human could see without their eyes. It intrigued her. She wondered what it would be like. Life apparently always found it's way to keep going. Even with tiny defects like those. Defect. The word bothered her a lot.
He started about all the chocolate she had in front of her, making her able to stay in the better mood she had.
"Chocolate is the best thing ever..."
Yui said dreamily. Taking another sip from her drink.
"I could eat this stuff forever..."

Juro nodded as he spoke. "Well it is pretty good, so I can't argue the fact." He said. he started examining her soul again and started to see specks of what looked like the beginning of a clue, he started to focus on that as he continued his questioning. "Your soul doesn't like like a run of the mill meister soul, anything you can think of to explain why?"

Yui had the feeling the guy in front of her was staring through her. His next question was right off the bat what she has expected. She took another sip from the warm substance before answering.
"Well, I'll be honest. I got in a bit of a mess with a bunch of witches. Stupid things, acting all friendly and then they start tinkering with your soul before you know it. I managed to get out of that business before it was too late. My friends however..."
Her eyes switched to purple.
"I'll definitely make them pay for it."

Juro heard the malice in her voice so he decided to be a bit more careful now. Being tampered with witches COULD explain the slight alterations and even the color changing, but when he finally found what the thing from earlier was he decided that COULDN'T be done by witches, to the most of his knowledge, at least a sorcerer would have to do this. It looked like she was a shapeshifter, which meant she could very well be a witch, but he decided more questioning at to be done. "Well I hope that goes well. So can you shape change?" He asked, deciding bluntness was unavoidable.

Yui stopped drinking. He being pretty blunt there. It made her burst out in laughter, catching all the attention from the store. Was he even sure if he would get a honest answer out of that.
"Why yes, that's the catch of the thing the witches did."
She sat back in her chair. The people looked back at their own table.
"If I let myself get too angry my body will start distorting and change to form. Fricking witches got us right where they wanted us. Heck, if we would remain in such a state it might even be impossible to ever turn back again."

Juro leaned back in his chair a bit, his smile slightly deteriorated. He thought that she was going to attack him and almost panicked, but luckily she didn't so he could focus on a little bit more questioning. He guessed a gathering of witches could've done this to her, but he figured trying to psyche her out with a lie would be the best final test. He took a sip of his coffee before speaking. "Huh, funny fact witches aren't capable of that kind of magic to my knowledge, they lack both the raw magical power and the knowledge." He said.

Yui grinned. He was taunting her. She knew it. Magic was always a matter of research. However, being knowledgeable here would be a trap. But feigning ignorance was also too suspicious. So she had to go for the indifferent approach. The one as she had been thought, research was mostly observation. So she could simply answer with what she has seen.
"Then... Would my eyes have deceived me? My friends merely acting along with what has happened and basically faking that they tried to murder me."
She rested her elbows on the table. Hands wrapped together resting her chin on top.
"Of course I don't have the evidence right here on the table. To be honest, I can only find a delicious chocolate cake and a cup of hot chocolate, unless of course, you feel the need to ruin my day just to piss me off. I have seen what I saw, nothing less."

Juro shrugged and marveled at how she had answered with such a good answer. He smiled at her as he spoke again. "Well if you say so. My name is Juro by the way." He said warmly as he extended a hand across the table for her to shake, almost knocking over her drink (Luckily he quickly corrected it).

Yui had seen it before. People reaching out with their hand to greet someone. She just had to copy it to mix in with humans and she would be safe from any danger that humans were capable of. She took his hand and shook it.
"Yui."
She simply said. And then proceeded to scoop up some more chocolate cake to eat. Her soul switching back to light blue. And her sharp gaze had turned into a dreamily one once again. This stuff was just too amazing. She'd definitely had to save more money for next month's allowance.

He smiled warmly afterwards and retracted his hand. "Nice to meet you Yui. By the way your voice is very pretty." He said, complimenting her, and hopefully making up for his poking around. He sniffed the chocolate again and a thought came into his mind. "So do you like chocolate a lot?"

Yui wasn't really sure what to make of that compliment. Perhaps to make up for the fact that he was suspicious of her. She decided to disregard it.
"Why yes it has a great taste, ever since I got it for the first time it's one of the best things I've ever tasted!"
She said with a wide grin.

"Well yeah chocolate it pretty awesome. You eat a lot of it?" He asked. he stopped leaning in his chair and put his arms on the table so he could start drinking his coffee again.

Juro seemed to think for a moment before speaking again. "Well I could buy you some for later, or to save, if you wanted." He said smiling. He wanted to be helpful and this seemed like a good way to do it.

"Whaahaaat!? Really!?"
The girl had almost jumped off her chair.
"Why would you do that? We only just met today."
She scratched the back of her head.

Juro jumped in surprise before settling back into his chair and smiling. "Yeah, well I want to be nice and since you like it so much that seems like the logical way to do it." He said cheerfully.

"Oh no no no, you shouldn't."
She waved her hands dismissively.
"I mean, I really appreciate it. But I really can take care of myself."
Otherwise I wouldn't be alive by now. Was what she thought silently.
"Besides I can always get a part-time job if I really wanted more snacks in between, it's not uncommon among students to do that."

Juro frowned. "Oh come on, I insist that you let me treat you. It's the least I can do for answering my questions." He said. He hadn't considered a part-time job until now, now THAT would be a good way to earn money, and maybe get an apartment with a roommate. But would he have time for that in between all the training?

She supposed there was no way to talk the guy out of this. And the idea of more chocolate treats didn't sound that bad. Though she had to keep in mind it might just be a trick.
"Fiiine. But only for once, okay. You don't owe me a lifetime supply or anything."
She finished the cup of hot chocolate setting it on the table and now proceeded to eat the rest of the cake.
