Claire and Jazz's Townhouse (Rated M for possible shenanigans in the future)

Claire stared up at the ceiling, her pale blue eyes sparkling a bit. She'd woken up a few minutes before her alarm was set to go off from a wonderfully fantastic dream, and she basked in the afterglow. Her gaze slowly drifted to the side, and she watched as the pale green numbers of the alarm clock slowly ticked by. 5:57. 5:58. 5:59.

Not wanting to wake Jazz, she reached a hand over and shut the alarm off before 6:00 hit. She carefully rolled into a sitting position, legs dangling over the side, and sighed softly. Luckily it was Saturday, and the weekend would be more or less uneventful.

She pushed  herself up to her feet and left the bedroom, crossing the hall to Lucia's room. She smiled when she opened the door and found Lucia standing in her crib, holding onto the wooden bars and looking at Claire with big, happy eyes.

She picked Lucia up and carried her downstairs, putting her in her seat at the dinner table and getting out a bottle for her. Once sure that Lucia would be good for at least a moment, she poked her head outside and grabbed the Death City Times that must've just been delivered, sitting at the dining table and reading it while she waited for Jazz to wake up.

Even without the alarm, Jasmine was awake at six-thirty on the dot like clockwork. So ingrained was her job, as well as the schedule they had been working to keep Lucia on, in her mind that she honestly couldn't sleep in even the few times that she tried. It was simply impossible, at this point. After a year and a half of randomly interrupted sleep, doing anything but keeping herself on the strict schedule was no longer feasible. On days such as this, however, she didn't much mind; weekends had the occasional free day, granting her time with her partner and daughter alike. Looking beside her, she smiled softly, recognizing that Claire had spared her the alarm half an hour before, and she made her way, groggily, towards the bathroom. About five minutes and two snapped ponytails later, she came downstairs with her half-shaved hair in a messy bun, eyes more awake, teeth and face scrubbed to bright white. "Goodmorning, love." she murmured, pressing a kiss to her forehead as she passed by, ruffling Lucia's hair on the way to the fridge. "Plans for today?"

Claire set down the Times, smiling and following Jazz to the fridge, hugging her from behind. "Nothing much... I was thinking of taking Lucia to the park. Maybe pack a picnic." She said, before separating from Jazz and going over to the sink. She filled up a glass of water and grabbed her pill divider, popping open the one marked Sat. and dumping it's contents onto her hand. She took a breath and dipped her head back, swallowing the pills, followed by the water to flush them down.

"We could," Jazz said, running through the device's contents before settling on a protein shake, pulling the milk out for cereal. "Have you eaten yet?" Her deeper eyes darted over to the other woman, instinctively fighting her memory recall to confirm that she had taken her pills the night, which, as always, she had. Shaking the paranoia off, she started digging through the cupboards for cereal, ears keyed into the sounds of their daughter.

"No, not yet. I was gonna make something for the both of us, but it looks like you've got that handled." She said with a smiling, storing her pills and moving over to Lucia, picking her up and carrying her over to Jazz. "Can you say 'good morning papa'?" She asked in a sweet tone, holding Lucia so that the toddler could see Jasmine.

Jazz grinned at the girl, setting the cereal down before nuzzling the little one's nose with her own. "Good morning, Lucy. How's papa's favorite girl?" Her eyes shined brighter when she looked at the girl, the morning haze that had previously been desperately trying to retain its hold subsiding in moments.

"Guh monning apapa!" Lucia babbled out happily, reaching out for Jazz with one of her hands while the other held tight to Claire. Claire giggled softly and nodded. "Good job! Yes, "Good morning papa". Who's mommy's smart little girl?" She asked, leaning over and kissing Lucia's cheek.

Jasmine leaned towards the girl once more, laughing quietly but beaming at the child all the while. "You're getting better, Lucia." she praised, seeking out the girl's reaching hand for a high-five. "Do you want some cereal with Papa?" The weapon gestured towards the bowl with her free hand, raising a brow in question for her.

Claire smiled at Lucia and Jazz, before looking at her partner. "Hey, don't feed her too much. She already had breakfast." She teased, even though Lucia was bouncing happily in her arms at the though of getting to eat more honey-nut cheerios with papa. "Can you take her for a few minutes? I wanna go take a shower."

Jasmine laughed at the small child's antics, immediately moving to hold her against her hip, "Go get all squeaky clean," she said easily, offering an o to the child. "The worst I'll do is cause an early naptime and a very happy baby."

Claire smiled, bounding up the stairs once she was free and into the bedroom. She quickly gathered a change of clothes and brought them into the master bathroom with her. She slipped out of her pajamas and turned the water on. After waiting a few moments for it to get hot, she stepped into the tub, wetting her hair and body.

Meanwhile, Jazz had set about trying to convince Lucia to stack the cereal into a tower. She was failing miserably, as the girl seemed to be far more fond of the concept of the tower falling over, and thus being able to sneak and eat the breakfast food while her Papa scrambled to rebuild. In the end, she relented, eating her own cereal and letting Lucia have free reign on the little cup of dry o's she had left for her.

Claire finished her shower, getting dressed and bounding down the stairs and back into the kitchen. She smiled at her girls, walking over to Jazz and kissing her cheek before moving to sit at the table, watching Lucia eat her O's with a smile.

Jasmine looked over at her, adoration in her eyes and a smile painting her lips. She said nothing, though, merely gesturing to the girl who had taken a fondness, now, to dumping the cereal and pushing it around the tray for no apparent reason. "Feel better, now?"

"Mhmm~" Claire murmured out, pulling out her phone and checking for any notifications before sliding it across the table in abject boredom, looking between Jazz and Lucia and smiling.

A soft laugh escaped the other woman, and she flicked a slightly wet O towards the child, he grabbed it from her tray and smiled giddily. Eating it slowly, she looked between her parents, big eyes staring at them in innocence and joy.

Claire let out a small sigh, stretching her arms over her head before she rose and went over to the coffee pot. She poured herself a cup, then looked over at Jazz, elbowing her from behind. "Hey, do you want some?"

The other weapon thought for a moment, unsure if such would be in her best interest. She hadn't had a cup yet, so it wouldn't hurt... at least, not at this point. Nodding, she offered a smile up at her, fingers spinning one of the O's across the table, much to the delight of little Lucia.

Claire pushed open the door to the townhouse, sliding her keys back into one of her back pockets. The flight back from North Carolina had been more or less incident free, though they had had to fly through a storm, which didn't make Claire feel any better. She cleared her throat, calling out softly. "Jazz? Lucia? Anyone home?"

Both Jasmine and Lucia were easily found, the blue-haired woman sitting lazily against the back, arms wrapped securely, if loosely, around the chromatic pink-haired girl. Both were clearly asleep, a single cheerio stuck to the corner of Lucia's mouth where they'd fallen asleep during breakfast.

Claire giggled softly when she found them, gently leaning down and plucking the cheerio from the corner of Lucia's mouth, tossing it in the garbage. She took a seat beside the pair, smiling at them, not wanting to wake them just yet.

Instinctively, Jasmine seemed to gravitate towards her, even in her sleep. As sloppily as the movement was, though, she really only managed to clank her head against Claire's shoulder.

Claire sighed softly, before leaning over, and planting a soft kiss on Jazz's lips, while giving her shoulders a gentle shake. "Wake up, firecracker..." She murmured softly, not wanting to deprive Lucia of her nap by speaking too loudly.

A soft groan escaped Jazz, and she grunted, burying her face in the girl's shoulder, clearly unwilling to obey.

Claire couldn't help but giggle again, giving Jazz's shoulders another shake, not wanting to do it too violently lest Lucia wake up and be crabby over her interrupted nap.
