Weapon Form: Avaline takes the form of a perfectly round metal shield with a matte finish.


The shield functions both as a protective barrier, and to some capacity as a weapon, as she can be used to either bludgeon an opponent, or tossed like a frisbee with enough force to sever limbs. When resonating, the shield can protect a wider area, and allows for greater throws or force in it's bludgeoning blows. Avaline works best with a meister not afraid of hand to hand combat, as she supplements it quite well.

Appearance: Avaline has medium length auburn hair, gray eyes, and an incredibly fit physique. She gives off a stern, no-nonsense attitude, with a firm brow and a cold gaze. Her skin is dark from the sun, and has strong, distinct tan lines from her workout clothes. Her arms are the most defined of her body, thick and muscled, and scarred from her many scuffles. Her lips form a fairly straight line, though the appearance of stoicism is merely that; an appearance.

Personality: Avaline is a bit of a mother hen, in all truthfulness. Her stern appearance comes from a near-constant worrying over the state of her students, as well as a desire to teach them to the best of her ability. She is a people-pleaser to the core, and runs at full force near constantly. She listens to upbeat, fast-paced electronic music, and constantly has to be moving. Anxious is typically the first word used by those who know her to describe her, and that fretting and worrying occasionally interferes with her sleep and well being.

History: Avaline trained at the academy herself as a youth. After graduating as a death scythe, she returned to teaching, which suited her like a glove. At age 22, she married another death scythe at the academy, but his adventurous lifestyle found him adventuring a bit too frequently with other women. The two split a year ago, and are currently working out the details of her divorce. She's lived a fairly quiet life, letting her own worrying be adventure enough on its own.

Miscellaneous: Avaline takes medication for her anxiety, but it doesn't do much good for her. She hates sweet coffee, and always drinks it black in the mornings. She has her alarm clock set for 4:30am.
