Anne-Marie BellegardeGender: Female
Age: Physically 24, actually 828.
Love Interest: N/A
Oriention: Undisclosed
Appearance: Anne-Marie is a 6'2" tall knight, most often clad in her plate armor. Her hair is flame-red, and longer on the right side than on the left. Her eyes are a soft, jade green, and her cheeks seem to always be rosy. and She wields a magic sword named Winterthorn, Legacy of Eternal Sorrow, and a shield most often kept on her back for storage. When she takes her armor off, she's in leather padding and the like. Given the tastes in fashion in this most recent century, when she does take off her armor and change into something more appropriate she wears a store-bought black suit and a red tie to match the cape on her armor.
Personality: Anne-Marie was born over 800 years ago, in a simpler time. She is a staunch defender of the weak and powerless, she has a well developed tactical mind, and she's a firm believer that women are just as strong as men. She used to be a devout catholic, but her experiences with witches caused her to question her faith, and as of now she's more agnostic than anything. She can't stand witches or Kishin, and is appalled that they seem so numerous in these times, making it her life's goal to eradicate both of them if possible.
History: Anne-Marie was born to peasant farmers over 800 years ago in the French countryside. She grew up tending to the cows and pigs on the farm and helping her parents and two brothers with the yearly harvest. All of this was changed, however, when the rest of her family was killed by a witch attempting to, unbeknownst to her, escape from one of Death's allies. The explosion that destroyed her home knocked her down into a cave system that had lain beneath the farmland.
Searching for an exit, she found a suit of armor, a shield, and a sword, all apparently without an owner. As her hands wrapped around the sword, she was infused with its strength and told its name. Winterthorn. The sword explained to her that it was a tool to be used against witches, and at this revelation Anne-Marie quickly donned the armor, finding that it adjusted to fit her perfectly. When she exited from the cave, she was no longer a 15 year old farm girl. Instead, now she was a warrior, ready to fight against the forces that had killed her family.
For 9 years she searched France, and even into Belgium and Lichtenstein, for foes to beat. Often times she was laughed at. A woman trying to be a knight? Preposterous. She would prove whoever doubted her wrong, however, by beating them in single combat. However, she never once killed her opponents, refusing to use Winterthorn to kill anyone but a witch.
Finally, after years of searching, she encountered a witch in the very caves that she had found her sword and armor. They engaged in single combat, fighting viciously with the intent to kill one another. Anne-Marie had grown used to combat by then, and she was soon to gain the upper hand. Unfortunately, the witch had one trick up her sleeve. With a burst of magic power, she froze Anne-Marie and Winterthorn inside solid crystal, leaving them undisturbed for 800 years...
Miscellaneous: Anne-Marie wields the magic sword Winterthorn, Legacy of Eternal Sorrow, and wears armor and a shield made with the same processes. Winterthorn cannot dull or break, and her armor, and her shield cannot be permanently broken. Any damage inflicted on her shield and armor will, after some time, repair itself, causing any holes to seal themselves shut.
Have you read the rules: Yah brah, I got me that dank power and madness.
