The High Caliber Sniper Scythe is a variant form weapon capable of two distinct combat forms, either for engaging in direct melee or ranged gunfire. After initial transformation, it appears as a block-shaped piece for easy handling when not in a combat situation. Extending the back end will then reveal a telescoping pole from which the trigger for his rifle function is connected to. On command, the telescoping handle extends out further while the upper portion of the gun, the barrel and its underside, extend forward to reveal that the actual barrel of the gun is telescoped and much longer than it appears. The underside of the barrel also unfolds into three-portion collapsed scythe-head which locks into place.

Love Interest: Master?

Appearance: Standing at nearly five feet and eight inches, Yuuma has probably finished his growth spurt rather early for his age. His hair is kept at moderate length as well as tidy, which is as black as his eyes are that glimmer with a strange, ambiguous light.

Personality: A lad whose only expression to the world is eternally muted save the taste of disdain. Yes, Yuuma looks down upon the world as a whole, but it's less about hating people and more ... Well alright, it's all about hating people. He hates just about every human being and other any other distinctly inhuman entities that are capable of sentience and therefore cruelty without necessity. He hates them all with a fiery passion that if he acted upon these feelings of chaotic rage screaming for blood, he’d most certainly be killed in the process but not before taking down as many victims with him as possible in a sea of blood. It is an element that constitutes a huge portion of his personality and motives, but even though he is driven by it, Yuuma always makes a conscious effort to not be controlled by it.

How does he accomplish this? Through constant deception and forcibly suppressing the motivation to destroy/maim/kill, such that his behavior, while slightly erratic does not present itself with a homicidal undertone.

To additionally facilitate his attempts at normalcy (and later reintegration into society), he’s not completely blind or lacking in understanding of societal norms. This coupled with an acute sensitivity to soul wavelengths and mastered cognitive empathy effectively allows him to utterly and totally mask himself with the unassuming polite facade he puts on for all others to see. A kindly soul that wants to do right by the world, and to others, and whole-heartedly devoted to making the world a better place for his little brother. Not that that last part is actually a lie, he really IS attached to Takuma and cares for him dearly, but it’s easier to make things half-truths after all. This gentle spirit, perhaps what he may have once truly been, seeks peace and truth in all things, his enemies, his allies, himself. Polite, but not distant. Soft-spoken, but not fleeting.

Thus far, he fears no one and just about nothing unrelated to his brother’s safety, having been conditioned to accept and feel little pain, mental or physical, at great psychological cost. For this, he is grateful to Master, and with her teachings, the only thing that drives him in this world is all-consuming hate for all things for many reasons. The most important reason is the lie planted in his mind that the world is dangerous for himself and Takuma.

It is for this reason he would go to such lengths, deceiving not only others but himself, in order to change this wretched world and its people. Even if, the only change he could bring should involve he losing himself, and giving in to the rage he has for this world (or rather the lies of the world fed to him) and try to destroy the world.

On a less serious note, he has a fondness for cats, curry, and knives. He doesn’t mind dogs, but hates snakes (less that he fears them, see above, and more they disgust him), firearms (despite being partially one, in away), and idiots. Also uses English as his primary language, as opposed to anything else, but in a rather plain manner. Vernacular and slang he has trouble using or understanding, this extends to idiomatic or metaphorical language as well.

History: The Fukui family used to be filled with such joy.  Your average family, a husband and wife, two kids and a cat, living in a small house in a nondescript suburb.  Which makes all the more strange that two small children from this family would find themselves in Italy being “reprogrammed” just a few years after the youngest’s birth.  It was a competition that had been going on for decades between a group of witches.  “Who can make the strongest weapon?”  Several years of work went into the pair, as well as several others who are not the focus of this narrative.  The brothers were instantly separated, and except for a few stolen moments the eldest managed to procure, they were largely isolated from each other.

The Witch who owned Yuuma’s life, a being he has been conditioned to only refer to as Master, saw potential within him after abducting both himself and his brother. Although young, he had strong family bonds, particularly those to look out for his brother, and the potential with this determination amused Master enough to take him not as a guinea pig, but as a bodyguard. The result was an invasive study and experimentation upon his very soul, strengthening it and then his body so that he may not only fight on his own when necessary, but fight under anyone whom Master commanded him to.

However, it seems that fate is not as cruel a mistress as people often claim.  After years of training, they were rescued by a small force from the DWMA, and now stand ready to possibly restart their lives in it’s halls.

Miscellaneous:

Wavelength Sensitivity and Control - Although not a user of Soul Perception, Yuuma does have an uncanny sensitivity to the wavelengths of the soul. Not enough that he can discern the shape of the soul and nature of individuals, like a user of Soul Perception can, but enough that he can sense the presence of individuals fairly close by and determine their feelings. This wavelength sensitivity is also applied to anyone who is wielding him, allowing them to sense what he feels. This acute sensory ability also opened the way for intensive training in which he grasped and honed the ability to control his own Soul Wavelength. It should be noted he is not a master at this control and thus not-capable of self-’Resonance’ to be able to fight independently, however the degree of control he has over his wavelength enables him to insure a bare level degree of wavelength compatibility, allowing effectively anyone to handle him and wield him in a fight with no backlash. As to whether he can resonate his soul with theirs to empower themselves and attain greater combat potential will depend on more than just his wavelength control, but instead fundamental compatibility between souls and personalities as well as mutual cooperation.

Anti-Demon Wavelength Due to lack of understanding as well as limited experience, Yuuma’s Anti-Demon Wavelength has yet sufficiently developed. It is most likely he inherited from one of his two parents, both Weapons, and as they were both killed before he could realize and decide what to do with his heritage, he has not had an opportunity to improve the capabilities of the wavelength. It is strong enough with him that he has managed to shrug up the calls of madness while serving Master, but not enough in addition to his lack of mastery that he could use it offensively against those who wield the power of Madness. As a wavelength, it can have purifying properties against those who have begun to fall into the grip of Madness so long as he remains in close proximity to the afflicted. However, its potency depends on how deep the victim has fallen, as its strength is not enough to assist those who have gone too far. Should he receive a proper Meister, said Meister will also benefit from the Anti-Demon Wavelength while wielding him in battle.
