Ami-Lee Lorenz 21ch5c6
(on the right)

Name: Lorenz, Ami-Lee

Gender: (Male or Female?)

Age: 18

Weapon: N/A

Love Interest: N/A

Appearance: Just like her sister, Ami has long red hair pulled into a side ponytail, however hers is on the right side. The headband stretches across to an ironically drawn frowny face button. Her eyes are the same blue-green, but her oceans are icy and cold. It's obvious she's mainly indifferent to people and prefers to stand away in isolation. As for an outfit, she wears a longer black jacker over a purple tanktop. Her pants are like cargo-pants and are a darker beige in colors. On her waist sits one belt that a sort of second belt along her right side. She wears tennis shoes as well and socks beneath them. Her strangest attire is the fact she has a black collar around her neck. Her body is the same shape as her sister's but her body is not flawless. Ami is covered in war scars and one such one covers her left eye. She's never smiling, as she is a grumpy woman.

Personality: Ami, as opposed to her twin, is very silent.  She's the ticking time bomb and the quiet one.  SHe never talks to anyone and if she does, it's not usually anything nice.  It's not that she insults, but she's blunt to the point it's almost rude.  Her eyes are scrutinizing and harsh and unforgiving.  She doesn't let anything slip past her and she's not likely to let anything go.  Her heart is cold and frigid and it's easy to tell.  She and Ana are polar opposites and a lot of aspects.

Ami hates sweets, unless they deal with strawberries or raspberries.  Otherwise, she likes plain foods without much flavor and can be often seen eating buttered noodles or plain rice.  Flavor gives her memories and make her feel and she of course doesn't like that.

"This is my upside down Eden." Ami is quick to shut down in most conversations. She's quite easily explained as broken. She can't accept friends a lot of times because she doesn't know how to cope with people caring about her. She'd spent most of her childhood feeling useless and worthless and in time, it became just instinct to feel that low all the time. She doesn't believe that anyone could care that much about her and would frankly avoid any of those kinds of situations that stir emotions.

She doesn't believe she should feel and when she does, it usually is shown in a sort of rageful way. Even if she despises the world, she at the same time fights to preserve it, since Ana for some reason finds something good in it. She refuses to cry since she believes that only weak people cry and when she feels too frustrated, she tends to punch things. She's not a good person,, but she's not bad fully either.

History:
Ami was born the younger of twins. She was always the responsible one, the tactile one and the one whom knew what was going on. She wasn't instinctive, she was deliberate and to the point. In essence they balanced each other out.

"Again."  There was his voice.. repeating.  Her father was a weapon and he knew well how to fight.  With neither child being one, he strove to make them good with a weapon-- even if it wasn't a real one.  No, they wouldn't NEED partners and Ami was training with the two switchblades that her father had given her.

Blood was spilling from her open wounds.  All she could see was him frowning.

"Ami-Lee, don't you look at me like that."  He charged at her with a frown. And the battle continued.  She could never win.

"Yes Father."

There they started again. Day in and day out. It was all she ever knew and meanwhile Ana was constantly dismissed from it. How was that fair? In the beginning, Ami was jealous. Why was it that Ana never had to fight like this with their father? What made her so special? She was the older sister and Ami was younger, but it felt like she had been carrying all the weight on her shoulders. She had the responsibility and she did all her chores, while Ana slacked.

It was only when they started school that Ami realized that her sister was hopeless. Slowly her perspective changed and she began to instead, help her sister. She did her chores for her, trained for her and even helped with her homework. Ana may have been a dunderhead, but they were still sisters and no matter what they always had each other, or so they thought.

One day their father just up and let. No warnings, no good byes. They woke up and he was gone.

That was when hell started.

Their mother showed her true colors and turned her wrathful gaze to the twins. A hand raised to strike Ana, but Ami dove in the wya. "Don't you lay a finger on Ana!"

"Little brat. Are you telling me how to raise my child?! Learn your place!" When Ami flinched, the woman laughed and the night didn't stop.

It continued for a long time, longer than Ami could recall and no one understood. "I hate you." That's all she could remember and whether she had said it or whether her mother had- she couldn't recall. Everything was a depressing blur to her. She spent her time sneaking Ana out of harm's way and arguing with her mother. How could she know that things would only get worse?

"Let's leave here." Ana had suggested. The idea was so simple and yet far-fetched. Was it that easy? All this time and the solution was as easy as walking away? Ami smiled for the first time in a while and helped Ana out, but she had forgotten something.

As she walked back into the house, the woman towered over her with a sick grin on her face. "Where do you think you're going?" Caught and cornered, Ami was stuck simply staring at her mother wordlessly. She couldn't run and the penalty was worse than she could have expected.

A year passed and Ami sat in her cage like a dog. There was no feeling in her anymore. What was it like to be alive? She couldn't remember. The man outside her cage simply laughed. "You should kill yourself." He opened his mouth and popped a pastry in. Loudly he chewed; so obnoxiously. "It seems like teh only option. Oh wait- you can't AHAHAHA!"

She'd lost hope.

When she opened her eyes, at last. All she wanted was to get away before she cracked. She was ready to murder the woman she'd once called mother, but she wouldn't- not yet. Ami hadn't fallen that far. Her great escape involved an elaborate plan for when her mother was finally away. Ami sought out her sister in hopes of joining her at the academy. Still, there was a darker side to her that hated the world for what she went through and a secret desire to kill her own mother brewing in her heart.

Miscellaneous:
-She's blind in her left eye.
-There is light scarring all over her body.
-She knows how to use a lot of basic weapons such as knives and a bo-staff
