Weapon Form: Kaga is a sword. Well, sword-mode is her primary mode, the one she most commonly uses. She can change the length of her blade, making herself as long as a long jousting sword, or as short as a dagger or large throwing knife. Her blade is made of steel, which she takes the time to polish herself. Her hilt is adorned with several very intricate and complex patterns. Inlaid in the very base of her hilt is a small octangular amethest. She doesn't know what it's there for, and although she's never told anyone, she has a strong hunch that it's very, very important. If she was ever forced to fight by herself, she'd be able to turn each or either of her forearms into a sword that would attach to the rest of her arm at the elbow.

Appearance: Kaga has wavy rich copper-brown hair that falls to her chest, or her mid-back. She has wide eyes as purple as the amethyst in the hilt of her sword. She is of a rather small build. She is just below average height for her age, and her small frame doesn't support much muscle. She is built more for agility than strength or endurance. If she was confronted by a bully, she wouldn't stand a chance if it wasn't for her sword. She has relatively pale skin. As she likes to blend into the background, she dresses accordingly. She tends to wear pastel blues, purples, and pinks, as well as shades of grays. You will almost never see her when she is not wearing one of her traditional long, flowing skirts. She most often wears these in khaki, olive-green, and white, which she will almost always pair with a soft, pastel floral shirt. 

Personality: Kaga is an introvert. No, this does not mean she is weird, or quirky, or socially awkward. This does not mean she is shy. She is anything but shy! To be shy is to be nervous or afraid of the people around you. No, she isn't shy. She just doesn't like to surround herself with a bunch of aquantinces and friends. She wants one or two true friends who will always remain loyal to her. Anyone whom she considers a friend is very lucky. She would die for them. She often seems very reserved or distant, but there are many things that she's fiercely passionate about. She will fight for what she believes in until the day she dies, and she will do it with much more zeal than one might expect from a quiet girl like her. Nonetheless, she can sometimes grow lazy - very lazy. 

History: Kaga was born in the middle of the winter, during a blizzard. Her mother was going to call her Kagayuko, which means "shine", but reasoned that Kaga was shorter, and because Yuko was already in her last name, Kaga would suffice. She didn't give Kaga a middle name, though. 

Kaga's mother was named Raykjavic. She had long, straight pale silver hair. She had light ice blue eyes. She was a meister. Kaga never knew her father. Raykjavic had to chase him out of the house because she'd discovered that he'd been eating human souls. He was never heard of again. Raykjavic never shared his name with anyone. He was her weapon, and she never looked for another weapon partner. 

Kaga has a brother, too. His name is Taika. He is three and a half years older than her. He is a strong and adventurous red-haired boy with strong green eyes. His name means "raging fire". Kaga and Taika were always very close. They never argued and they shared everything. What was Kaga's was Taika's, too. They were the best of friends. Taika stood up for Kaga in everything she did, and he protected her. Likewise, Kaga always knew deep in her heart that if anything should ever threaten Taika, she'd do the sane for him. 

The Yukohoshis lived in a small village in the middle of nowhere. It was an abandoned village, too. They were the only family that remained there. 

Raykjavic never gave Kaga a middle name. When Kaga asked why, her mother responded, "One day, you will have one. I will not give it to you. Your brother will."

"How will I know what and when, mother?" Taika had asked. 

"You will know it in your heart."

When Kaga was eight, she got a horse for her birthday. She was a beautiful chestnut mare, with creamy golden mane. There was a splotch on her rump which Taika, 11, thought to look like a clover. It was from that spot which she got her name: Clover. Brother and sister would ride her all day long, from sunrise to sunset, together. But although it was Kaga whom Clover truly loved, Taika was perfectly fine with that. 

When Taika turned 13, Raykavic gave him a pendant bearing a charm shaped as an ember. She instructed him to wear it to sleep that night, and he'd receive a prophetic dream and his powers either as a meister or a weapon. When Kaga turned 13, she did the same. Her necklace charm was a lighthouse. 

Raykjavic explained to them that starting in the spring, they would attend the DWMA. She gave them a map, in which the DWMA was highlighted. 

One fateful morning, Raykjavic went to gather water from the well. Her kids never saw her again. They learned to fend for themselves, to hunt and cook their own food, and they learned how to fight. Come spring, they left their home to travel to the DWMA. They stopped about a day's journey from Death City, and they set up a home. Neither wanted to attend school. They rather enjoyed their solitary lives. 

They lived like this until mid autumn, several months after the beginning of the DWMA school year. Taika had turned 17. One day, a hungry wolf attacked Taika. Kaga leapt in front of him and defended him until the wolf ran off. She had saved his life. Taika said to her, "Kaga, you have protected me today like only one other person has. I give you your middle name. You will be Kaga Ray, in memory of your mother."

Clover had spooked and run off during the battle. Both brother and sister knew that without their mount, they were as good as dead. They walked all the way to the Academy. They would be students.
