Margaux-Marcellette Leclair 270px-Cahara05_01-1-

Leclair, Margaux-Marcellette

Gender: Female

Age: Seventeen

Meister: N/A

Weapon Form: In her full weapon for, Margaux-Macellette becomes an iron maiden. The shape is that of a metal tub- similar to a casket -with a matching door. The inside of the door is naturally covered with iron spikes while the inside of the tub is plain ad drab. The front of the door is covered by an intricate painting of a gold skeleton with its hands crossed over its chest. For obvious reasons, an iron maiden isn't very practicle in combat, forcing Margaux-Marcellette into developing an autonomous fighting style in which a meister isn't needed. Instead of fully transforming, she simply grows three-inch spikes from her body.

Love Interest: N/A

Appearance: (In reference to the above image, the claws, horns, wings, and veil should be ignored.) Upon a first or second glance of Margaux-Marcellette, the first thing you'd notice is not her body but her distinguishing Gothic dress. This black mass of fabric is shorter in the skirt region than perceived but makes up for it with wideness, giving it a Victorian era appearance. The cuffs are wide as well, with green fabric at the ends (opposed to the white fabric on the border of the skirt). Additionally, a large white bow has been pinned to the hip of the dress. To counter the short skirt, Margaux-Marcellette wears a black pair of leggings that reach down to her knees, with the ends tied down by green ribbons. For the lower part of her legs, she sports a long, white pair of socks, also adorned with green ribbons. Her shoes are a simple black with green bases.

Her dark hair is neatly cut in the front whilst two long bundles flow neatly to the side. Her simple green eyes are covered by an appropriate pair of green glasses (near-sighted). Her nose is just a stub perched over a thin pair of lips. The chin forms the point to her pyramidal head and is quite distinctive up close. Her most noticeable body trait, however, is her milky-white skin, which compliments her fashion style. Her gaunt physique stereotypes a meager girl, and her modest chest size furthers this. The thing fingers of her small hands are painted with green nail polish, and her lips with a lighter shade of green lipstick.

Personality: There are two things Margaux-Marcellette defines her life with: wealth and appearance. Since she was born, she's only known a life of silk dresses, sport cars, and top-of-the-line phones. The thought of giving up this affluent lifestyle truly horrifies her to the point she often becomes ill after pondering the thought too long. In the same regard, she's embarrassed by the idea of her appearance becoming less-than-adequate. This applies not only to her physical appearance but the appearance of her personality. Despite her questionable feelings and biases, she often wears a mask of poise and calmness, though her tone of voice usually undermines this mask. Those who get a large glimpse of what she's really like are more often than not avoided by her out of shame.

To tie in with her fear of being viewed in the lime light, Margaux-Marcellette is plagued by the primal fear of death. When it comes to life-or-death combat, she'll often shake hysterically. If a kishin egg with a monstrous enough look came before her, she could even freeze up. To make matters worse, she has a history of feinting at the site of blood, though, that's not often the case. It's fair to say that she just isn't mentally prepare for the life of a DWMA student, but in all honesty, she has tried to remedy this with anti-anxiety medication, but she'd never admit it. In fact, that's partly why she was able to pass the psychological evaluation of the DWMA enrollment.

As it was mentioned, Margaux-Marcellette has a few biases: everyone. It doesn't matter whether you're a friend or foe, boy or girl, rich or poor, she will find a reason to criticize you. Luckily, she usually keeps it to herself for the sake of living the lie of a  warm-hearted girl. Other times, she'll criticize out loud in a voice as calm yet demeaning as possible. If she does criticize you openly, she likely views you as a threat (socially at least). On the mirror side, she doesn't take criticism- constructive or no -well at all. She'll become very defensive and somewhat arrogant, making her a difficult student to teach. Fortunately, this has made her a good arguer to the point that it seems like she's prepared for a debate before hand. Still, the inability to take criticism has limited her full potential in many skills: she's a mediocre musician, a lousy artist, and her writing is questionable at best.

When it comes to matters of love, things become tricky. She can easily become attached to a boy who showers her with attention, and she's absolutely infatuated with the idea of flirting; but it usually stops there. With a distaste for being touched, Margaux-Marcellette is filled with awkwardness when it comes to kissing or even hugging. Emotional intimacy is possible but limited to whatever her social mask allows. Like many in her social class, she believes displaying romantic affection in public is taboo and highly inappropriate. On that note, she's also against lustful clothing leaving the bedroom. It's for that reason she tries to cover as much skin as she (tastefully) can, even in swimsuit attire. That's not to say she hasn't played with the idea of wearing something seductive in private; but the prospect of embarrassment if someone found out is more than enough reason for her to throw that idea away.

Marguax-Marcellette is truly a narcissist- close but not quite enough to be diagnosed with psychopathy. She truly believes she's entitled to what she wants and her means can become very unpredictable to achieve her ends. When someone tells her no, she'll take it quite personally; and while she may not throw a tantrum, she'll think of anyway she can hurt that person (not physically, usually...). The point from which her narcissism derives not from low self-esteem but pure pride. Her well-being will always come first, and others should not expect her to make a personal sacrifice for their sake. Through appropriate word play, however, she could be coaxed into making a sacrifice if it were made clear she'll benefit afterwards.

History: Margaux-Marcellette was the second daughter to fill the wealthy Leclair family's quiver. The first was Opal, who had four years over her little sister. While Margaux-Marcellette received equal affection from her parents, the same could not be said for Opal. The problem lied in the fact that she was born from a previous marriage of Mr. Leclair, and the current Mrs. Leclair resented her for it. Naturally, Mrs. Leclair favored her biological daughter to her step daughter in most all situations. If Margaux-Marcellette wanted a puppy? Mrs. Leclair made sure she got it. If Opal wanted a new doll? Mrs. Leclair gave her every reason she didn't deserve it. Mr. Leclair rarely stepped in to end this injustice, though, he often tried to shower Opal with gifts in secrecy.

At some point, Mr. Leclair revealed to both his girls that they would eventually have to enroll in the DWMA and graduate- just as he had -if they didn't want to be disowned. Though Mrs. Leclair objected, it was not something he'd budge on, believing it would help them build character. Margaux-Marcellette was frightened by the idea at first, but became certain Opal would enroll, get injured, and her father would abandon the idea. This was far from what happened: Opal enrolled at seventeen and graduated four years later with a wonderful record. As Margaux- Marcellette aproached the age, it was clear she was going to have to enroll if she wanted to continue the life of luxury. Mrs. Leclair offered a diferent solution: if something were to happen to Opal, surely Mr. Leclair would not risk his other daughter by sending her to the DWMA, right? Margaux-Marcellette was just desperate enough to accept this solution.

In theory, the plan was simple: a hit-man would take care of Opal, and there'd be nothing to connect Margaux-Marcellette and her mother to it. The plan would sound naive to most, but they did put quite a bit of thought into it. To ensure there wasn't a paper trail between them and the hit-man, they decided to use a less traceable currency. Margaux-Marcellette spent a couple of weeks seducing a boy- Pierre Lechance - from her private school until she was certain she could play him like a puppet. It wasn't all that difficult, though : Pierre was a geeky fifteen-year-old with self-esteem issues, and it was no surprise he agreed to be the hit-man in exchange for a night of passion afterwards (more of a lie than a promise). To help ensure the  assassination went smoothly, the mother/daughter team told Pierre whatever he needed to know. The vital piece of information they forgot: Opal used to be a DWMA student. On the night of the hit, when Pierre jumped out on his would-be-victim, Opal had no trouble breaking his arm. Ten minutes later, the police arrive and hauled him off to jail. The only thing keeping Margaux-Marcellette and her mother out of jail was the ability of a fifteen-year-old boy to keep a secret.

Thinking he could still get his night of passion for at least trying, Pierre kept quite all the way past sentencing. Despite this, the mother/daughter team was still frustrated that Opal was still walking around. Taking matters into her own hands, Mrs. Leclair decided to poison her step daughter's food... but she'd forgotten once again that Opal was a former DWMA student who consumed many kishin egg souls, making her quite resistant to the poison. In fact, Opal had no more than a stomach ache and didn't even consider she'd been poisoned. It was becoming clear that they were going to need to be more direct with the killing. They ended up convincing Opal to go on a drive through the countryside until they were at the end of a road on a mountain. They got out of the car and five minutes later, Opal wasn't much more than a splatter on the rocks below.

Certain she was dead, the two called police to tell them how poor Opal slipped and fell to her death. most of the police know of Mrs. Leclair and thought kindly, so murder was seriously considered. The same could not be said for Mr. Leclair: he was very suspicious of his wife, though her refused to even think Margaux-Marcellette had anything to do with it. Since he didn't have any proof, though, all he could do was resent his wife, making arguments a constant matter within the household. Then came the moment of truth: would Mr. Leclair risk his only remaining daughter and send her to the DWMA? The quickest answer is yes and to put it biblical sense, "There was weeping and gnashing of teeth." Before she could comprehend it, Margaux-Marcellette was walking up the steps of Death City.

Miscellaneous: As Magaux-Marcellette continues to consume the souls of kishin-eggs, she'll find her prowess in battle enhancing, giving her access to attacks pertaining to autonomous fighting (opposed to soul resonance abilities).
