Thread Idea: A guide for making antagonists

Alright, as I have browsed the site, I have come to the conclusion that it needs a thread in the creative writing section dealing with creating a good antagonistic character. A villain, in laymans terms.

And by 'need', I mean it would be fun to write. For me at least, making good villains is easy as pie. So I figure, creating a how-to would be easy. And fun. Did I mention fun? Anyways, reason I didn't go ahead and make said guide was because I didn't know if I needed special permission from a mod or admin to make a thread in the creative writing section.
