Magic or Madness? (Rage and I, Ask to Join)

Ah. A lovely morning to behold! The sun is shining and the smell of freshly made bread. That was the type of morning Suhas missed. Instead of all these pleasantries, our little sorcerer was waking up in an alleyway. With a kishin egg sleeping next to him that reeked of chemical waste and to top it all off, it was raining. It wasn't that they didn't have money to but an apartment kr rent a hotel, but the kishin egg Attor prevented a comfortable life. His gas mask and poisonous aura made it obvious he wasn't normal. "Get up, we're off to the next unfortunate soul!" he jabbed the sleeping Attor and jumped up on his feet with an ear-to-ear grin.

"Well it's not everyday you see a sorcerer and a kishin-to-be working today, not is it?" A voice echoed from the far end of the alley. A boy stepped in. Rage Edgerock, The Dwindling Flame. He was decked out in his new red leather jacket to replace his now tattered hoodie. He took a step in their direction with a straight face and lazy eyes. He faced the gas-masked man. "I'm guessing your that Attor I've heard about. Gas mask. Guess that gives it away. Now you." He said, facing Suhas. "I don't know of you."

Attor slumped behind the sorcerer and sort of hid for a mkment even though the total stranger knew who they, well at least who he was. The sorcerer, however, was extremely calm and collected. He had no room for fear for he never really knew what it was. "Suhas Chord at your service! " he exclaimed as a top-hat appeared in his hand as he bowed. "And you've got it right! This here is Atty-kun, my personal assistant and henchman." he patted the kishin egg's head, Attor only grumbled. Suhas tossed a chess peice in his hand and stopped only to ask, "But who are you?"

Rage slouched to the side, remembering his return. Words from the crowd played back in his crowded head. "If you haven't figured it out yet, you're wasting your time. No one seems to remember me anymore. Why should you be an exception?" Rage took another step towards Attor.

Suhas gently pushed Attor away from the approaching stranger without taking his eyes off of him. "Perhaps because I didn't know you previously? I didn't mean to pry too deeply... do you like cards?..." the sorcerer asked out of the blue. As he asked, the chess piece turned into a joker card from a common deck. The kishin egg's aura turnednfrom a light haze to a very noticeable purple as Suhas started to try and protect him when Attor's purpose was to protect the sorcerer... not the other way around.

"No." Rage said firmly, approaching Suhas. "I don't like cards. I don't try to test my luck for I have none. Why waste my time." Rage's hand shifted into it's weapon form, the axe, and stepped closer to Suhas. "And I won't be wasting anymore time. Now, we can end this quickly or we can drag out your end. Your choice."

"That's a real shame, then. I'd hate to put off the game any longer, though." instantly, the sorcerer dropped the card and it exploded into confetti, temporally blocking Rage's vision. This gave Suhas more than enough time to grab Attor by the hood and drag him out of the alleyway and down the street.

Closing his eyes, Rage let out a quick flame from his mouth, clearing the smoke. He climbed up the side of the wall in the alley to the top of nearby house, spotting Suhas and Attor. He jumped, landing in front. "I have no time for fun and games." And with a angered claim, Rage's hair exploded into an orange color, boosting his power.

"Oh?~ But I have all the time in the world so let us play!" The sorcerer smirked and reached into his pocket, revealing a black chess piece. While he was doing so, Attor manipulated his Narcosis Inducement and made a quick jab at Rage's feet, injecting toxins like that of a scorpion.

Actor's poison slowed Rage down, but it didn't stop him. He grabbed Attor by his hoodie as he was fleeing, and tied the strings together so he couldn't see. And, after reaching into his pocket, he pulled out a pair of handcuffs, and quickly fastened one on At to r's hand and the other he placed again a wall, then molding it with his fire. With Attor subdued for the moment, he set his eyes on Suhas. "You think this a game?"

Suhas nodded and laughed like a mad-man. "A fun one too! You're not like hotheaded Jeremy." the sorcerer charged the guy head on and manipulated the knight piece to equip a sword, which he didn't use to attack. Instead, he used the longsword as a pole-vault and dub his ankles into Rage's face, knocking him over. Attor was busy melting the cuffs with his toxins, which worked fairly well considering he didn't even know that they were actually being melted off. Perks of having poison-based moves.

While felling over, Rage quickly swung his hand up in the air, hooking on to Suhas' s pants and preventing him from getting away. With the sorcerer hooked, he pulled him down and over into a busy Attor. And, with Suhas still near, grabbed his sword, and spat fire on it, turning it into nothing more than molten iron. He swung his hand up and bellowed, "Kishin, I've come for your soul!"

Attor showed no emotion. Frankly, it wasn't in his nature to. "Exoskeleton...." Immediately poison oozed from his pores and crystallized his hand just enough to keep the blade from slicing him completely in half, but it did make a cut. "I don't like you..." He muttered as the blade began twisting from the toxins. Though using so much of the unhealthy material started making Attor sick, he wasn't used to combat. He was working completely on instinct that was encoded into him by the scientists back home. Suhas coughed and used some of his waning strength on summoning a Solitaire Card, which proved good enough to attack the foe as a giant spider.

As the spider attacked, Rage grabbed the remains of the handcuffs and burned them to his skin to keep Attor in check. Sure he was injured, but he didn't want Suhas fleeing with him. A swift chop cut of two of the spider's legs, and another slit open it's abdomin. With a slight blow on his hand, Rage's axe was coated in fire, and with a other chop, set the insect aflame. With Attor slowing moving, Rage kneed him, making him lose consiousness. He turned to face Suhas. "So you rely in your cards? What happens if you lose them! ?" With that, Rage set fire to 1 or 2 cards that Suhas had ready.

Suhas only smiled and reached into his infinity-pocket. "Everyone gets a bad hand once and awhile!" The sorcerer leapt up from his current position and summoned a comicly large hammer you'd see in a strong-man carnival game. With this, he swung and knocked Rage back quite a ways, which wasn't expected from his seemingly helpless state. As soon as he picked out a poker chip, the hammer vanished and a toy-like gun appeared, ready to shoot poker chip-ammo. At the downed enemy. He stationed himself in front of the downed kishin egg, ready to attack if Rage came at him.

A former boredom struck and mistrusting facet turned into a comical smile with a set of determined eyes to follow. "Well, it looks as if your not as much of a push over as you seem. Looks like it's about time I try this." Rage breathed in the longest breath of his entire life. He then stood up, and with quick flame that shot from his mouth, he turned into a yellow and orange wisp that quickly whipped past Suhas and burned his arm as he zipped by. Rage materialized in mid air, and struck Suhas in the shoulder with his blade.

Suhas winced as the flame scorched his shoulder and burned his clothes, let's just say that the blade didn't feel good either. He tried brushing off the pain with a smile, which was fairly easy since he had years to practice while in solitude. "Nice moves." He complimented and shot an array of black and red bullets at the enemy. The bullets pierced the same shoulder that wielded the sword while Suhas switched out for a four-square sheet. As soon as he connected the lines, he and Rage were enclosed in a large box. This was all Suhas could do to prevent the guy from getting to Attor. And frankly, it was pretty good for being desperate.

Slashing at the floor of the box didn't work. The only was out was throw Suhas. And that meant anyway. "If you can handle the heat......." Rage said, pulling out a bottle of lighter fluid from his pocket. "THEN LEAVE ME THE HELL ALONE!" He leaped, downing the fluid. He then opened his mouth along with blue flames. These flame scorched the box that held Rage and even made himself sweat. And from the intense heat emmited, Suhas had fainted, and the box disappeared. Out the box, and clothes scorched, Rage set his eyes on Attor, and lay his blade upon his neck.

It took little for the kishin egg to snap awake. He knew Suhas was in trouble and he was NOT about to let the knly thing that gave him a purpose die on him. With eyes that were once emotionless blazing, Attor screeched as his hands melted and reformed, giving him mobility. The kishin egg bent his knees and head butted Rage's chest, hopefully knocking the wind out of him, but knocking the sword away and him down, regardless. What Attor did next was the opposite of humane or human in general. He ripped off his mask and legitemitally bit down Rage's neck, slowly piercing the skin with toxins and teeth.

Our levelheaded hero wailed in pain as Attor ' s teeth sunk into his neck, he fell forward a bit trying to keep his balance. Rage turned his neck, loosing Attor a bit, then grab his jaw with now non-transformed hand. He yanked, pulling Attor of his neck, and ripped 2 teeth out in the process. Rage then proceeded to punch Attor in the stomach dazing him and threw him down on the ground. Rage felt his neck then looked at his hand, seeing a mix of poison and blood. He gritted his teeth, and his eyes burned with passion. He re transformed hand, then quickly looked Attor right in the eye before chucking his gas mask and then forcing his axe hand down on At to r's thigh, separating it from his body.

Attor would've screamed if he had the ability to feel the immense pain that seared through his thigh and hip. He had just enough energy to roundhouse kick Rage's leg from under him with his one available limb before hobbling away to the awakening sorcerer, who was still woozy. The kishin egg showed a protective stance next to the sorcerer, showing he'd still fight if he had too. Though Suhas soon snapped to reality and panicked, poofing away with the extremely wounded kishin egg.

Rage fell quick to the ground, knocking his head against the cement. He had known Attor and Suhas had gotten away. What the he'll was thinking? Why didn't he just go for Attor ' head instead of his head. He felt a strong jolt of pain in his neck, and soon realized he still had holes from Attor ' s bite. He reached for his jacket pocket, grabbing his lighter, for he was out of fire at the time. He lit his fingers on fire then touched them to his neck, burning it, closing the wounds. Rage sunk down to the ground, disappointed at himself. He let a kishin get away.

A ways down the street, a little meister with shiny samurai armor walked alongside her weapon partner. The day had been quite honestly, boring. Which was a nice thing considering that they had had nonstop nonsense over the past few weeks of their partnership. Limbs had been removed, souls collected, lives nearly lost and a guy laying in the road... wait, what? Shizu squinted to get a better look and nearly ran her weapon over as she went to see the keeled over man. "Are you okay?!" she kneeled next to him and frowned.

Jeremiah joined his meister next to the guy. "What the hell happened to this guy?! Okay, umm..." The weapon examined the poor mans injuries for a diagnosis. "It looks like a bight wound on his neck. But it's already been burned shut!" He tore off a part of his shirt to clean off some of the blood and what he didn't know was actually poison. Apart from that wound, it seemed the man would live. "Shizu, help me carry this guy to a hospital!" He positioned himself at the mans feet, having to grab onto his top-hat to make sure it wouldn't fall off.

Rage popped the collar on his jacket before lighting his finger and setting Jeremy pants on fire and quickly burning through them until nothing was left but his tight whities. "Don't play with fire, kid." He spat, and then sat up to face Shizu. "I'm fine, thanks for asking. I was dealing with some sorcerer and an acid spewing guy behind I cut off his leg and they disappeared." He turned to pick up the back he had dropped before his fight.
