A new gift?

Dowan loved water, that much was a given. And so, she spent what time she could at the hot spring. Today she had gotten her work done early, so she went to the spring. Making sure no one was around, she stripped out of her clothes, going waist deep. She touched the water with her fingertips, loving the warmth. She felt light headed and happy. She hummed, moving the little waves with her hand, hands tingling with energy.

"Dowan? Is that you?" Lexi asked approaching the spring.

Dowan jumped, "Oh, it's just you Lexi." She continues to move the water without touching it.

Rose walks in, her footsteps somewhere between dancing and walking. She hums a tune under her breath and overall appears to be in a very good mood.

"Hey rose." Dowan said quietly.

Rose smiles brightly. "Hey Dowan! How're you?"

"What's got you in a great mood today?" Dowan chuckles lightly.

Rose chuckles to herself, stripping and walking into the steam, becoming nearly invisible as she walks around the edge of the spring. "I have no idea what you're talking about..." The sound of a splash soon follows.

Dowan quirks an eyebrow, deciding to test her good mood. She begins to move the water in little circles, hoping to earn another chuckle.

An unusually feminine giggle follows, the sound of feet kicking coming from the steam. "Not only would you not believe me if I told you, I've no reason to..." A large wave follows, surging and disturbing the steam. The size of the wave makes it obvious that Rose used her soul wavelength to make it.

Dowan just shakes her head, "Alrighty, if you say so. Speaking of which, how's that brother of mine coming along?"

Rose shrugs her shoulders, the action lost because of the steam. "You could always ask him, you know..."

Dowan sticks out her tongue, "He doesn't talk to me much anymore." She said, "It comes with living with one another again."

Rose chuckles deviously. "Well, maybe I would no more if he slept in the same room as me..."

Dowan laughs, forgetting what she was doing previously, "That's totally up to him."

Rose swims out of the steam, laying on her back and kicking over to shore. "Maybe if her had the nerve to actually challenge me, I'd be more impressed. As it stands, no one has shown what I want in a guy..."

Dowan shrugged, "Its not that he isn't brave enough. Opposite. He just doesn't think that way. He probably doesn't even know you like him."

Rose's eyes dart open, her face turning red. "I-I have no idea what you're talking about. I don't like him, I barely know him...."

"If you say so.." Dowan said, trailing off as she sinks into the water.

Rose frowns, moving back into the steam. "You're not funny, Dowan..."

"Really? I was thinking of doing standup comedy, you know.." She snorted, swimming a little deeper, raising her head out of the water for air.

Rose scoffs from inside the steam. "I'd abandon that dream right away. Not in your best interests in my humble opinion..."

"Your brother thinks I'm hilarious." She said in mock hurt.

The sound of flailing and splashing follows. "N-Not funny!"

"He laughs at all my jokes. Did you hear the one about the chicken and the road. He didn't make it. He got ran over."
