It had taken a little negotiating with the Blanches for transportation, but after a time, the duo managed to make their way to the Big Apple. They'd gotten in fairly late bought some food while seeing what information that they could dig up, and had since headed around the darkened streets for any clues. Of course, the most they got in way of "clues" were broken bottles & needles, screams from (now-thwarted) mugging attempts, and a lot of headache.

"Maaaaaaaaaarty~" The weapon cooed, though she was some feet away, twirling in circles in her buckled up skirt and middriff shirt, making herself evermore the target of drunken fools. "I'm beginning to think that we should just call it a night."

Martyn wasn't fairing much better mentally, he was beginning to feel like he actually had a headache starting to build up, he rubbed his temples kicking aside another bottle. He glanced at but kept walking. His mind kept meandering around the idea of a drink but her kept himself from it.

"You know I'd love to, aswell. I do have a feeling that we can find something though..." it seemed as though he were clinging to thoughtless hope but in reality he just didn't want to half-ass another mission.

She let out a bit of a whine in response, sighing and seeming quite thoroughly bored as she continued down the street, looking away from him, arms folded across her chest. "It's possible that it's a false alarm, ya know." Still, she seemed compliant enough to her meister's wishes, heading along but eyes dancing every time they passed a club or bar.

Martyn obviously sighed, and he looked to Vanja and put a hand on her shoulder and gave her a knowing smile. "I know we've tried to avoid it all night but I think going into a bar to ask some questions would be a good idea. You don't have to come inside if you don't want to." He straightened out his checkered jacket as if that would make anyone take him seriously, and look to the door before striding in.

The loud ambience seemed to die down into almost a murmur when the kid stepped in.

Vanja stood in the doorway behind him, watching, eyes dancing from the limits, nose taking in the scents of grease, fruit, cheap drinks, pheromones, cheaper perfume, and beer. She didn't say anything, merely rocking on her feet as she waited to see what it was that her meister wished.

Martyn was about to open his mouth when the bartender a woman walked up to him and simply escorted him out. Looking rather pissed he just stared up at her. "I just have a few questions."

She only smirked. "Sorry, I don't have any answers." and closed the door, and waited politely until the two left. Martyn locked eyes with her for a moment before turning away.

Vanja giggled just slightly, shaking her head before ruffling the boys' hair. "Try a rave," she said, shrugging as she gestured further down the street. "Younger people are expected to be at those." Still, her eyes danced as they observed the bar they'd just left. "I'm not sure if it's your age, though."

Martyn laughed. "The last time I tried to go to a rave... actually I'll tell you about that later." Martyn looked around on the streets that were suddenly, very empty. The lack of sound in this area was erie at best, along with the flickering street lights.

She reached a hand out, eyes watching him with the same crazed frenzy she was so affiliated with. "It seems as though a sort of... storm is coming, don't you think, Marty?" There was a strange, almost delicate ring to her voice, making it higher as she looked around.

Took her hand as he turned to face her. "You know sometimes I have a hard time keeping track of who has more innocence." he joked poking her in the side. "But you're not wrong."

Her smile only seemed to widen, and she shrugged, squeezing his hand gently in her own, "Should I change, or do you wish to wait, meister?"
