Sarungekki, ToshioniGender/Sex: Male
Age: 15
Weapon: Zakia
Love Interest: No one
Orientation (Sexual/Romantic): Heterosexual
Appearance: Toshioni stands 5'10" and weighs 150 lbs. He has blonde hair that he allows to lay straight on his head and form not-so-subtle parts in its orientation. He has light brown eyes and a pale complexion. His face is rather thin and comes down to a point. He has a relatively unpronounced jaw. In both ears, he has a small silver band on the bottom of his earlobe.
His body is lean and firmly fit. Years spent training and running have toned his body with light muscle mass stringing about his midsection and lower body. His arms are relatively underdeveloped as he doesn't really focus on weight training. His hands, however, are rather scarred from all the training he's done both in hand to hand and in weaponry. As such, he tends to keep them in his pants or jacket pockets.
He dresses mostly in weak, light colors. Pale yellows and sky blues line his wardrobe. Toshioni tends to prefer simple attire consisting of T-shirts, light jackets, jeans, and sneakers. When on mission, he trades out the sneakers for boots if the situation calls for it. In the winter, he often throws a gray parka over his normal attire.
Personality: Toshioni is like an onion...he goes well with salad. Just kidding, he has layers. On his outermost, he prefers to portray himself as a happy-go-lucky, attention-loving, girl-chasing, good natured guy. And, in a way, that's who he really wants to be. His painted on smile is more than a little fake, however.
Beneath his somewhat class clown nature is a person who really tries and cares. Until he found a partner, he fretted about it to no end and trained religiously. Toshioni trained tirelessly in many forms of weaponry as well as in his physical development in general. While this doesn't really conflict with his outermost nature, it certainly is more than meets the eye.
However, at his core Toshioni doesn't really want success or power as his attitude would imply. Given his childhood, all he's truly after is some gratification. He hopes that becoming a strong Meister will please both his parents and his classmates. At his most earnest, Toshioni is a soft spirit who's insightful and observant. He watches those around him carefully and studies their habits to try to predict what's going to happen next. He's gotten decently good at this.
History: Toshioni was born to two Meisters whose names are pretty irrelevant as he never introduces them as anyone other than "Mom" and "Dad". Regardless, the pair of them decided to have another child such that they could almost "compete". When Toshioni turned five, the couple each picked a child and began training them to be Meisters. His father picked him, and his mother picked his younger brother Tensai.
For the Toshioni's training, his father decided to focus mostly on the physical aspects of being a Meister. He wasn't taught about controlling his Soul's Wavelength or Soul Resonance at all. No, instead he was conditioned very heavily to the point of fault. Cardiovascular endurance, muscular endurance, and weapon training made up his day to day life.
This training lasted for a few years, five to be exact. In his tenth year of life, Toshioni's parents decided he and Tensai needed to determine which parent had more effectively trained their child. In their first unwilling fight against each other, Tensai struck down his older brother in one blow. Unfortunately, Toshioni's training hadn't prepared him to deal with Tensai's technique.
The next day, however, they fought again and Toshioni didn't give Tensai the chance to knock him out again. With his superior conditioning, he was able to quickly take down his younger brother and knock him out. He should've felt incredibly bad about this. But this, this was revenge for the fight he'd been training for for half his life.
After a very even-number of wins and losses, Toshioni and Tensai were forced to attempt some weird coexistence. Their family life became as normal as it could be, all things considered. They never really got close and instead lived in this awkward kind of equilibrium. Toshioni didn't bother his brother, and his brother didn't bother him.
Four years later, Toshioni went to the DWMA and began to find himself. It was at this time that he began to bury himself beneath layers of persona. His "try-hard" attitude allowed him to fit in, but it didn't exact make making friends easy. So, he added a "goofball" persona to try to gain popularity. It wasn't a huge success, but it got the job done.
In this year, he began to miss his family, really just his brother. Outside of a vacuum, he began to realize just how messed up what his parents did actually was. His brother had always seemed nice from afar, but his parents had forced the two of them into competition and violence.
The following year Tensai came to the DWMA as well. Toshioni tried to connect with his younger brother, but to little avail. He spends most of his free time running and/or training.
Miscellaneous: He like fish but never raw. He also prefers the local food in Death City as opposed to traditional Japanese cuisine, though a lot of people keep assuming he likes Japanese food.
