The Valentine's Day Formal!! (Site Event; Open to all! No post order enforced)

The ballroom was decked to the nines in colorful streamers and balloons in warm reds and rosy pinks. Hundreds of smaller tables surrounded the open dance floor with warm glowing candles in the center. The lights were turned down and inviting, romantic acoustic music was playing from the speakers as the first few couples to show up made their way to the dance floor to slow dance with their partners. The stars were out, vibrant and twinkling against the night sky and the easy way they stole breath away made the night seem ripe for love.

Atticus arrived to the dance a little bit on the later side but that meant that he was only thirty mins. late. If it was any other event, he would've arrived precisely right on time. He was practically programed that way due to boot camp that would've preferred if he arrived even earlier than the time that was given for their current activity. This event however was completely different, it was a school dance. Atticus never had to attend such a thing before in his life so the whole scene laid out before was tremendously alien to him. What made matters worse, was the fact that he was coming in a dress instead of a men's dress suit. It was his choice to wear one however, it just felt more natural since he was currently in the body of a female anyways.

While on the the topic of Atticus' dress, it was something his therapist who told him he needed to attend the dance in the first place, gladly purchased for him since he didn't have much of an idea what would look best on him. The dress mostly consisted of black and white squares and rectangles that made a sort of checked patterned dress. It also dropped all the way down to his knees while the sleeves of the dress traveled to the mid-way length of his arms. For what it was, the dress proved to be very modest, showing no more then it needed to and Atticus had to admit that he actually enjoyed its black and white theme.

At the dance Atticus was off to the side away from everyone else, except for his Weapon with whom he arrived with. He turned his gaze towards her briefly, checking to see how she was doing so far.

Raicheal was currently sitting at a table in the farthest corner of the room with her hands folded in her lap and her head drooped down a little so she wouldn't have to make eye contact with the people in the room. She was wearing the long sleeved fluffy white dress with inlaid white floral designs she had found a few days ago at a clothing store. The dress didn't cost that much seeing how it was a little "old fashioned" for her age group, at least that was what the store clerk said when she bought. it. Besides, she had been in many of the “in-style” dresses before and needless to say...she wasn't a fan of them. To go with the dress she had put her hair up into a small bun with a small white rose clip she had found at a stand in the bazaar on her way home from the clothing store holding it all together. Other than that, she had done nothing else to "pretty" herself up, seeing how she didn't really like make-up. It reminded her too much of how she looked...back than. She glanced up a little and caught the glance of her gaze of her meister, who had been sitting next to her. She was glad that Atticus had helped her find a spot away from everyone else but she also felt bad that he was just sitting there and not enjoying himself.

 "You can go enjoy the party if you like. I’ll be alright.” She said with a sad tone to her voice "I don't want to keep you from having a good time."

Beyril lingered by her table, brilliant emerald eyes scanning the crowd for her boyfriend. Her hair was twisted into a messy braid, like flames that trailed the back of her neck, slight tendrils like flares circling pale skin. She had opted for a pale pink dress, with elaborate beadwork on the top, and a long slit up the leg. It was more than what she usually did, but she hoped that tonight she might get a rise out of poor Tony, even if she was uncomfortable in the meantime.

Addy had secretly always relished the idea of having everyone's eye in a room. For a brief moment, she had it. The black dress she wore covered her top in a swirling pattern of lace that seemed strategically placed to hide the necessities and little else, with a plunging neckline and more lace trailing down one arm. The bottom of the dress fanned out in a back train that trailed behind her, with a slit that ran up the leg so high that it raised the question as to whether or not there was anything under the dress at all. Her medium length blonde hair flicked out in beach swept waves about her shoulders like a halo she borrowed from an angel on the way in. She didn't have a date, or friends here that she knew of, but for a moment, knowing that she had drawn so much attention made her feel special for just an instant. She wandered over to a table, sitting down with her legs crossed at the knee, watching the first few couples on the dance floor.

Melrose would casually walk over to the table that Addy sat at, and offer himself a seat. He was probably vastly under dressed when compared to his tablemate simply wearing a deep red bow tie and a matching cummerbund with a white tie and black slacks. His gaze lazily scanned the rest of the room as he propped his head up in his hand. He wasn't really much for events like these, but he was assured that if he came here a certain someone would leave him alone for a few weeks. If only I could keep her from bothering me at all. Not wanting to sit in silence, Mel decided that he would try to initiate conversation with the girl, "It's funny. Valentine's Day so adeptly describes the transience of love. It's here today surrounded by pomp and splendor, and tomorrow it will be another memory."

Addy cast him a curious glance, laughing a bit, "Yeah well, if my night goes right, I won't even have the memory." She smirked, "Alcohol is good about that."

Atticus listened to Raicheal, before going silent for at least the span of a single minute. He then quickly took on a greatly more cheerful demeanor just like he did back in the Café. "Hey Raicheal,", he said before getting up and taking a hold of Raicheal's hands in a very gentle manner, urging her to get up as well. "I would rather be anywhere else but here just as much as you would. In fact, I'm simply glad that someone I actual know, such as yourself, is here with me. Your not ruining my time, we're just doing it to ourselves. Now, I know that there's a reason why Ms. Exagora told us to go to this dance here tonight. It's to let loose, have fun, and most of all, make memories that we can look back to. Knowing us I think we would want some of our memories to be fond ones. What do you say, you wanna do anything tonight? Anything at all, I'm willing to do it with you.

Mel looked at Addy with a look somewhere between curiosity and confusion. "So you would go through all that effort to dress up for a night you hope to not remember?" He was impressed, being able to go through those motions like that when they may not even matter is a talent that Mel never possessed. He found himself almost jealous of it, though he didn't quite get it.

Addy shrugged, "Sometimes you need to feel important for a bit. Right now that's where I'm at. I'll do the forgetting later."

Raicheal took Atticus's hands and slowly rose to her feet to face Atticus as he spoke. She was glad to know that she wasn't ruining his night and was in fact was glad that she was here. She smiled a little at the fact that she was helping he have a good time. However on the last part of his little speech, she was taken aback at the thought of him letting her choose what they would do.

"Ummmm..." she said nervously "could we go for a walk? I heard there is a garden somewhere in the school and I have always wanted to see it."
