Sterling K5TZ3lX

Sterling Hawthorn

Gender/Sex: Female

Age: 15

Meister: Zanic (Soon)

Weapon Form:
Sterling UGiYaak
Sterling's weapon form is that of a large dark-silver blade. The blade itself is very basic, but the guard seems to feature a complex dragon-like design. The handle itself has a black grip, finishing off the very sinister looking sword. The sword itself, true to design, seems to have a personality all it's own. It gives off a very unnaturally dark aura, and those using it ca tell that Sterling is no normal weapon. In fact, Sterling's weapon form has been passed through her family for generations. While initially the blade was a very basic sword, it has become a Demon Blade one generation, a Death Scythe in two, and a Dark Weapon in three, leaving the sword in it's current state. Anyone near the blade can tell just from the look and feel of it... This sword is hiding something... Something only Sterling and the sword itself know...

Love Interest: None

Orientation: Heterosexual. Unexplored.

Appearance: Sterling stands at only about 5 feet 3 inches, weighing in at around 120 pounds. Her eyes seem to be a dull grey-purple color. Her silver hair is usually kept up in a large ponytail, hanging to about her waist. When left down however, it can reach as far as her knees. A long scar runs down the left side of her face, passing over her eyes. She doesn't have much of a build to her, but Sterling is not weak. She's actually kind of strong for her size. Typically Sterling prefers to wear T-shirts and skirts paired with simple flat tennis-shoes. She has a nervous habit of clenching fabric, typically her skirt.

Personality: At first glance, Sterling looks pretty timid. Getting too close to her will cause her to show signs of discomfort, touching her may cause her to become jumpy. She's very soft-spoken, often having a hard time talking at all in front of new people. Occasionally she'll stutter or lose her train of thought when conversing. In large groups, she'll often whisper to the person she knows best and have them talk for her. This isn't to say that someone can't get Sterling to relax around them. It can be done, but even then Sterling may, at random, freak out and state that she needs to leave. Once in awhile Sterling will have an "episode", at which point she will cover her ears and begin to yell loudly things such as "Shut up!" or "I can't do that!". These appear to be rare, but unprovoked. Often before these episodes Sterling will become increasingly unnerved, and avoid the glances of others.

There has been one occasion documented by the school when Sterling didn't show up to school for a week. When a teacher was sent to check on her, they found Sterling's apartment to be trashed. Sterling was discovered to be hiding under a blanket in her room. All furniture in her room had been placed into the living space or the kitchen. This was when she had first come to the city, and has not happened since.

History: Sterling's family is a bit unique. Her Weapon From is passed from parent to child. It acts as a normal weapon. When the current owner of the form dies, the form is passed to their first born child. If the sword had been changed in any way, such as becoming a Dark Weapon, Death Scythe, or Demon Blade, the sword will retain the physical properties it had when the user died. For example, Sterling's grandfather was a Death Scythe. Before becoming a Death Scythe, the sword had a rather demonic design to it, and was black. When her grandfather consumed the witch soul, it became lighter and more dragon based than demon based. When the weapon was passed to her father, it stayed that way. Her father didn't collect souls, and therefore had no influence on the blade. Until the parent dies, the child cannot even be considered as a weapon, as they won't have an actual form.

Sterling's parents had opted to move out into the countryside when Sterling was conceived. It was peaceful there, and it was easier for Sterling's father to keep himself at peace. See, much like the Sterling of today, her father seemed to have a few screws loose. This didn't matter to Sterling though. He was still her father, and she cared about him quite a bit. Things were pretty peaceful on their small plot of land. The pond was good for swimming in the summers, Sterling eventually got two younger siblings, and despite the neighbors discomforts with her father, they lived pretty happily. Happily, that is, until her father had a heart attack when she was twelve, landing him in the hospital. Within the month, he was declared dead. Not long after that, Sterling seemed to start acting... odd. She'd reply to questions that weren't asked, yell at herself, and even lock herself away in her room for days. Her mother knew what was happening, but waited to see how the child would handle it. By the time Sterling was thirteen, her mother could no longer watch. She decided to sit down and have a talk with Sterling about what was going on.

Nobody really knows what happened that night. Sterling just showed up on her neighbor's doorstep, coated in blood, her face bearing a new scar. When prompted for an explanation, Sterling gave her neighbors two sentences, then refused to talk. "It's his fault... He hurt me first..."

When sent to investigate, authorities found her family to have all been stabbed in the head, as well as a man that was later identified as a friend of her father's. The man had both a knife in his hand, and a knife in his head. All the souls were accounted for, and it was ruled that Sterling had acted in self defense, and to protect her family. The DWMA took responsibility for her upon discovering she was a weapon, and her inheritance from her family has been enough to manage a small apartment in the city. She's been around for about a year and a half, but has yet to find a partner due to her form's unnerving aura.

Soul Count: 0

Miscellaneous: While the blade's aura is dark, it doesn't feel corrupt... More like just evil...
