Here Comes Trouble! [Aruna/Chauncey // Open]

Aruna could tell that Chauncey was angry. The NOT class wasn't a bad thing, but she didn't belong there. She had already proved that to herself. "I-I'd be EAT anyways..." She spoke up, her hand turning pitch black as the shadows seemed to arc towards her slightly. The hand changed into a knife-like object, which she proceeded to hold up, as if to show the two. "I-I already got one soul... With Wacky and my powers..." She added, the shadow of the trash can stretching to crawl up her leg and wrap the metal bat in her hands, making it a dark grey, almost black, color. Despite her transition to battle mode, her stance made no significant change, and she didn't seem ready to strike at all.

((Um, sorry to ask at such a starting battle moment...but could I join? Sorry If this is random to ask but I guess I'm trying to get into at least one RP, my apologies.

OOC: If you're still waiting for a reply, I'm personally indifferent on the matter, though this isn't my thread, so we'll see what my mini-me has to say about it. Spotlight's on you, Arc.

As sigh escaped the silver-haired boy's lips. "Man, I'm not even a student anymore and I gotta put up with all the twerps." The comment came out as aggressive as one could imagine, as Ace locked eyes with Chauncey, growling in anger. It was safe to say that these two would probably not get along in the future.

The small girl, however, had decided to intervene, by demonstrating to both of them that she was no ordinary Weapon. Ace didn't know what to think about this, but he certainly knew that this would require a full report to Shinigami.... which included paperwork..... and effort. Deciding to save his energy for that, the boy gave up, and shook his head, then began leading the two down the hall towards the counter that typically distributed missions.

"Prick." Chauncey said, quite audibly, when Ace started down the hall. Chauncey couldn't take the way this guy brushed him off as a kid. He was pissed. Not pissed enough to start anything at the moment; all he wanted at the moment was to not have to deal with this guy. So, the small boy moved to follow the other as calmly as he could manage; glaring holes into Ace's back and seething silently.

Aruna could feel the tension between the two boys. It kind of scared her... Her hand returned to it's usual form, the shadows dispersing to their natural places. She then made a quick dart to catch up to Chauncey before slowing to a walk behind him, almost tripping over herself as she slowed. She followed silently, not wanting to cause a problem for either party.

Soon the trio neared the mission board, which by this time of day, was crowded with students... all students who parted for the individual that they detested and feared, Ace. As usual, whispers broke out among the crowd, most of them discussing the rumor of the boy's transfer to another school. "Auntie." He barked, cutting off the line at the reception window. "I need a registry consignment." The larger lady behind the counter seemed more than happy to help, and a little negligible of the boy's attitude. Whether this was due to her actually understanding Ace, or because she simply did not understand that he was rude was debatable. Either way, a stack of paper now sat in Chauncey's hands, waiting to be filled out in great detail. Having done his job--to the bare minimum of course--was now shuffling off, away from the pair.

Chauncey had quite the mixed feelings at that moment. He was rid of the condescending arsehat that was the silver haired guy. He was also handed a really thick stack of papers which would need to be filled out at some point by that very same arsehat. His expression sunk as he stood, defeated. "I don't like that guy at all." He finally concluded.

Aruna gave a light tug at Chauncey's shirt as she latched the hand to the boy. "Me neither... He's mean..." She agreed quietly, glancing down the seemingly endless hallways. This was home now, huh? It was certainly an interesting place... Maybe it'd start to feel homey too one day...

With a huff, Chauncey finally conceded to his fate of a long paperwork filling session. He started rolling slowly down the corridor, in search of a place to sit down and write up what he needed to. The longer it took to find, the better. Getting lost would mean putting off the pile of documentation and that was a side goal, now, rather than an unfortunate side effect.
