Incompatible? [Open]

A pink haired girl adorning a little name bar, the word "WEAPON" displayed clearly over her left breast. She was one of the many, many weapons that needed a Meister this semester, but the only problem was finding a person compatible.
Souls were rather based on personality deep inside, weren't they? She'd heard that erratic personality's souls might even bounce around a little. Whether or not that is true is a different story. What Kokoro did however know was that her little blue soul inside her little pale body did not have much more than a shape. It was just a featureless blue orb, no matter who was looking at it.

Kokoro's soul was powerful though, meaning that with her rather simplistic, however somewhat correct, thought process, she would have thought she'd have a partner by now - but instead here she was, Meisterless, not because she wasn't powerful enough but instead because being compatible with her soul was extremely difficult.
It's not like she minded though - that, and she couldn't exactly feel bored wandering around.

Which brought Kokoro to her next train of thought, leaving the other to violently derail unattended. This place was large and while her emotional capacity was indeed limited, her capacity to feel lost was not; lost she was indeed.
What did souls taste like? One more train to explode abruptly as she hopped to another. Why did eating souls make her stronger? Could she cook them, burn them accidentally?

Where was she now? There seemed to be a pattern of train-hopping taking place in Kokoro's mind, more sensations than she has ever felt thus far, and all at once! There were so many people, the halls were so large, and this little tingle started tearing her up inside, one that made her heart feel light. She didn't know what that tingle was, she didn't know what to think of it, so she ignored it as best she could. It kind of hurt, but in a nice way. A nice hurt.
She didn't know those existed until now.

Robert Holmes sank his teeth into the ripe, fat peach as he wandered the halls of the DWMA. The word "Meister" was written on a nametag affixed to the front of his shirt. Upside down. He thought it looked better that way. There was some free time before the first class of the day and he planned to spend it in the library. Most people might spend that time sleeping in, catching up with friends, or training with their weapon partners. As Robert had little desire to sleep, no friends, and no partner, he planned to spend his free time in the library, perusing various books on monsters and past battles.

Sure he could earn excellent grades and train his body harder than any of the other students at the academy but they, at least, had better social skills. Never mind soul compatibility, first he'd have to convince them to want to partner with him. And he always struggled with that part. Robert passed by a bickering weapon and meister, and unbidden emotion suddenly welled up within him. This sense of emptiness. Noticing a window nearby, Robert raced to it to distract himself from this ugly feeling. Outside, a pair of giggling teenage witches transformed into squirrels and chased each other up a tree. Robert watched, amused by the spectacle. Then, his eyes wandered to a nearby group of meister and weapon partners as they trained. Though that unpleasant feeling of longing reared its ugly head once more, he continued to watch, entranced by the partners as they practiced techniques in sync.

Kokoro's little dance of incoherent stumbling as she tried to understand where in this utterly massive building she was came to a stop when she reached a window. Looking out it could give her a point of reference as to where she came in, possibly. A peek out this window rewarded only the view of a tree with some squirrels running up it. A very light chuckle came from her left and her head snapped to it - a boy. Was he laughing at the squirrels? Why was he laughing at the squirrels? She squinted at the boy, his back to her, peering out the same large window.

Kokoro's sense of direction wasn't amazing, neither was her social strength, but that didn't mean she was going to avoid necessary conversation. This conversation wasn't necessary.
But when she twitched, trying to move away, she felt herself unable to move and a sense of burning came from inside of her. She looked down at it; she didn't like that burn, it made her feel different so she immediately didn't like it. A hand touched the center of her torso where she felt it, just below her chest and just above her gut - another came to pat her head, where she felt the same burning sensation.

In the midst of her self-observation Kokoro caught a glint out of the corner of her eye, and she curiously raised her head. It was the boy again, the glint coming from the material on his chest- a name bar. She took a step closer, now committing to a full on stare at his chest, more specifically at the word "MEISTER" displayed there. A brief glance down to her own bar, stating her role as a weapon. Kokoro's head tilted a bit. His head wasn't facing her, so she spoke out to make it.
"You're a Meister." was all she said in that soft, monotonous voice of her's, and if he would turn to look at her face then he would see, of course, eyes that matched with the same cold, glazed over tone her speech carried.
