Alone

"You alright?"

"Yea... Just thinking"

"What about?"

"Things..." I said quietly, "Nothing you would care about."

"I don't care about much, but your an exception."

"I'm just thinking about when was the last time I was able to talk to someone so easily."

"When was that?"

"About 5 years ago..."

"I'm sorry..."

"Don't be." I said trying to sound cheerful "It wasn't your fault in anyway." I was about to rest my hand on his shoulder to reassure him, but I knew that wouldn't be comfortable for either of us.

"Still... come on we should go back to the main room."

I stood up and walked towards the ladder. It was kind of hard to see since the room we were in was only lightly lit, but I managed to reach up to the top without falling.

Ace follow her up, and yells to the cave before heading up. "Good night Coco!" A squeaky growl booms from the halls of the cave.

I smiled at the sound of Coco's growl, which was audible to anyone since it echo throughout the cave.

Once they were back in the main room, Ace stands up straight bending his back in an arch. "Ugh."

"Now what?" I asked, leaning against the wall with a smirk on my face.

The thunder boomed outside. "Well, it really is beginning to get late.... or should I say early?"

"It sounds lovely outside..." I said sarcastically, turning my gaze towards the window.

"Yeah..." Ace says, sincerely meaning it. For some reason he always loved thunderstorms.

"So tell me, why do you love thunder storms this much?"

"I don't know... I'm a pretty dark person Koizumi. I like a lot of things like that."

"Yea, but there is a reason for everything."

"I suppose so, but I can't remember why."

"Well that's alright.." I said with a shrug, "I always preferred cloudy days..."

"Clouds are cool I guess."
