The Thread That Never Died....

Estoc: I haven't seen her since this morning.

"OK" He said softly

Estoc: Do you want me to go find her, wait for her, or go without her?

"Wait for her"

Estoc: Okay, we can wait.

A few minutes later Marcey walked out

Estoc: Hi Marcey, how it going?

Marcey ran down the stairs and kept running. There had been gum and spit balls in her hair and she was crying, Marcus sighed.

Estoc stared in disbelief, then turned around to see if the culprit was still there.

Marcus ran after Marcey

Estoc turned and noticed Marcus chasing her. She cursed, then started chasing after them.

Marcus slid to a stop near a river bank and put a finger to his mouth to keep Estoc quiet, then he slowly approached Marceline and sat with her. "Marceline, what happened?" He asked her softly and she whimpered, he pulled her close and hugged her.

"They kept talking about how I murdered my family...and I am crazy...and needed to be in an asylum..." She told him softly and he smiled at her.

"You AREN'T crazy, you DON'T belong in an asylum..." He started removing the junk from her hair carefully.

Estoc watched as he comforted her. She sat down, watching the two bond.

Marcus wiped Marceline's tears away and smiled at her "Everything will be ok, I promise" He held onto her tightly, not wanting to let go.

Marcey rested her head on his lap and said softly "Thanks Marcus"

Marcus stroked her hair as he got the rest of the gunk out, smiling "Anything for you Marcey" He gently grabbed her hand, smiling a little. "You are so amazing" He told her softly, she started blushig and relaxed

"You are too Marcus" She told hi softly, smiling up at him, he smiled back at her and kissed her cheek. A few moments later their lips locked together as they kissed.

Estoc smiled, then quietly got up and walked away. She went to the grocery store, picking up some extra noodles and meatballs, figuring there would be an extra person eating dinner with them.

Marcus held Marcey close and wrapped his cloak around her "I love you, you may act like a badass but I know the reasons and I'll respect them" He told her softly as he picked her up and carried her home "You are beautiful and amazing"

Marcey giggled and kissed him "Thank you" She said softly, he smiled and kissed her, taking her inside and sitting with her on the couch

"Anything for you my Marceline" He said softly "Anything for you"

She got home, then headed for the kitchen.

Estoc: I hope you guys like spaghetti and meatballs.

Marcus nodded a bit "We do" He said softly, he sighed as he held Marcey

Estoc started cooking, humming as the two were cuddling with each other.

Estoc: You know Marcey, this could have started earlier if you would have listened to me. I'm just saying.

'"Shut up" Marcey said and Marcus stroked her hair

"She has a right not to want relationships...she is scared so please just leave her alone about it" Marcus said softly

Estoc: She wasn't scared when she handcuffed me to the fridge. . .

Marcey kept quiet, Marcus rolled his eyes "So?" He smirked "You still know nearly nothing about her...she doesn't have to be brave to cuff someone to a fridge" He sighed "She is scared of having relationships because she doesn't want to harm anyone else"

Estoc: yeah, I figured that out the hard way. . . Anyway, how did you find out about her past then?

"I was there, I saw her do it..." He sighed "She saw me and ran away, she was terrified" He held Marcey close "But I stayed by her, did my best to keep her fed, warm, clothed, and sheltered...mom and dad never helped me, I used all my allowance money on Marcey" He smiled as he talked "I was glad to, I made sure she was alright and it made me happy to see her alive and well" He sighed "Whenever she got sick I was scared, scared it was serious...the one time it was she was in the hospital for a month" Marcey hugged him

"I'm fine Marcus, I have rarely gotten sick since then" She said softly as she hugged him, he hugged her tightly and sighed

"I know my love, but I still fear losing you..." He looked a bit scared at the thought, Marcey curled up on his lap and smiled

"You won't, I promise" She touched his cheek and he sighed, relaxing a bit

"I hope not" He said softly "Because if I do, who else will I buy flowers for, kiss, and smile when she does" He wrapped the blankets around her and smiled slightly, she smiled back.

Estoc smiled as the two hugged each other. She was finishing the meal, putting the noodles.

Estoc: Alright guys, the meas is almost ready, start setting the table.
