The First Day

Alex was confused at first until he realized, until he thought to himself, 'She is blind?' He took her bag and put it in her hand. It was unclear to Alex how she made it this far on her own but he didn't care. She had the spirit, he already felt that she's like a little sister to him. "Do you need any help?" He asked, awaiting an answer.

Having it placed in her hand so easily, Thadea blushed out of embarrassment and laughed nervously "Thanks, uh-" she pat his shoulder, feeling the familiar fabric of his shirt, "Alex!" she giggled, shaking her head. "Nah, I can do it on my own!" she said confidently, "I'll catch you later then!" she chirped, standing up and pausing to think. "I walked from her to there to...." she mumbled to herself, frowning her brow, "Oh, there's the exit!" she pointed to the wrong direction and waved at him, "See, I told you I got this." she assured, walking toward the fence.

"No there is a fence there!" Alex yelled to her, trying to protect her from harm. The thought went through his head, 'She needs help just as much as I do'. He walked over to her and grabbed her by her shoulders. Alex guided her to the doorway to her classroom, "There, this is the way to your classroom, are you sure you don't need any help?" Alex just realized he sounded perfect, he was speaking perfectly to his new friend. The tone of his voice sounded more confident.

Thadea paused and froze at the yell, "Ehh?" she said obliviously and childishly, her shoulder being grabbed and she was lead to the door. "O-Oh..." she said in a shyer tone than before, smiling nervously and rubbing the back of her head, feeling a bit shameful for needing any help at all. "I guess I kind of do..." she admitted in a low tone, as if wanting no one to hear her. "I"ll be able to map out this whole school after today though, don't worry!" she said confidently, giggling a bit. She of course noticed he seemed much less in his shell, but commented nothing on it.

"Alright, where is your class?" His soft quiet voice was beginning to become louder like at a normal tone. Alex felt comfortable and wanted to help his new friend out by guiding her to her class and maybe find out where his class is as well. But he didn't care much about his class, it mattered little to him even if it mean't he'd fail the Academy for not attending classes.

Wrath sat quietly pondering on what Thadea said. He watched the two of them as left. "Two interesting characters indeed." He sighed as he continued his thought process, he wasn't much of a crazy social animal himself. He was trying to be himself straight forward and honest. But something was still missing. He couldn't put a finger on it. He was late for class, but he didn't seem to care too much at this time. "If those two could find partners why can't I? What is missing." He didn't know. But he stood up and headed for class hands in his pockets as he continued to think. "I don't want to be alone, so whats stopping me?" He was confused about this matter. He walked into class and went to his seat he paid no mind to what the teacher had said.

"Maybe tomorrow will be better." He said to himself with a small grin.

"Don't know." Thadea admitted simply with a grin that's attempted to be reassuring, "All I know is that it's called.... Ah..." she furrowed her brows. Each student had a certain titled class with a certain homeroom teacher. She couldn't remember the teacher's name well, but what the class was called was "Oh right, Full Moon Eclipse... I think. something along those lines." she smiled, then paused, "Hey wait, shouldn't we get to your class too?"

"I don't know where my class is either." Alex felt surprised, never before he talked normally to another person, especially to a new friend. But still, he had no idea where his class was so he decided to make a random guess. "Why don't we just roam around the school until we find it, that sound okay?" He asked. For the fact that he was completely new to the DWMA he thought she knew her way around the entire academy.

"Um, right..." Thadea said and stopped in her tracks suddenly, side stepping and holding out her hand until it touched the wall. She walked along it, until she felt the bar that was up a small flight of stairs. "Up there's the wall of missions," she remembered, "All the other classes are past that, up another flight of stairs, and down the hallways." she grinned to herself proudly, walking up the first small flight of stairs rather quickly and eagerly, which caused her to trip over a step and fall, but she quickly caught herself with the rail at the side. "Ah ha, I'm okay!" she hummed, continuing up, "Come on, Alex!"

Alex followed her up the stairs, questioned as to how she was even able to know where everything was even though she was blind. It amazed him though, how could such a young girl master her own disability? He began to theorize in his mind she grew used to it and managed to feel everything instead of see everything. But it was a bit of a disadvantage due to Thadea making some mistakes from time to time, in the end though she succeeds. Both Alex and Thadea make it up the second flight.

Thadea managed up the rest of the steps with no other errors, her hand dragging under the bulletin board of missions as a guide when continuing forward. She nearly stumbled and tripped when her foot kicked the next flight, but climbed up. "I think the intermediate classes are furthest down," she said, "One of our classes are here somewhere." she said, gesturing to a few doors.

The young man guided her along the halls until they reached a classroom with a teacher standing outside the room. The teacher looked at the both of them and saw Thadea, "There you are Thadea, I was about to mark you absent." He said, then he looked to Alex. "Who are you?" The teacher asked. Alex was to nervous to say anything as he has never seen a teacher before.

Thadea giggle lightly, rubbing the side of her nose and grinning with lids shut to make her expression so sincere and innocent, "Sorry sir, I couldn't find my way!" she stated in a apologetic and friendly tone. "I'll try not to let it happen again. This is Alex Ironsmith, he helped me find my way." she smiled and pat his back. "He's new too!"

"Alex Ironsmith....." The teacher was searching through the list of students attending and saw Alex's name....... In his class. "Ironic, your also in this class as well. Both of you find your seats before the bell rings." The teacher pointed within the class room. Within the room where other students. Alex wouldn't move a muscle concerning there were so many people he doesn't know.

Thadea's brows raised, and she beamed towards Alex when they had the same class together. Though as he said to take their seats, that grin faded and she laughed nervously. "U-Uh, okay..." she murmured, but only stood there, having no idea how the room even looked like, or what seats were taken or not. She just stood, smiling nervously, wanting to just shrink in her jacket and hide there.

Alex was nervous as hell but he wanted to get the day over with. He took Thadea's hand and guided her to an empty seat and sat next to her to be sure she would know she is in class. "Alright, your here, Thadea." The young man informed her, at least relieved he helped her get here on time.

Thadea made a grateful smile to Alex as he lead her to a seat, saving for the embarrassment of standing there like an idiot. As she took her seat, Thadea giggle and waved to the teacher, "Yes sir!" Then she smiled a bit fainter, poking to Alex, "So, you figured, I'm guessing?" she murmured quietly, opening her lids to reveal the white hues. "Thanks, though, I guess I needed a bit of help here and there..."

Alex chuckled a bit then took out his journal again. He began to write down more and more until the entire page was filled up with letters. Words that would help him remember, things he could review, and enjoy. Alex then turned to Thadea and said, "No, thank you."

Thadea blinked, tilting his head at Alex, "What's that supposed to mean?" she asked curiously, "And what's that you're writing? I've been hearing you scribbling your pencil this whole time!" she chimed, only to get shushed at, "Oh, sorry." she laughed lightly.

Sade whispered to her, "Meaning thank you for being my friend, for helping me be............. Normal." He smiled at her as she did back at him, then he looked upon his notebook. "Oh this? It's my Journal. I have memory problems so I write down what I've seen, done, smelled, heard........ Truthfully I am scared I might lose all my memories one day. Or worse, lose the notebook itself..."

Thadea paused at his response, then couldn't help but stifle out a giggle. "Normal?" she repeated with a grin. "If anything being normal is weird. It's bland, and no one likes it." she pointed out. "I don't think anyone in this world's 'Normal'. If anything, I'm helping you just be yourself, which is like a hundred times better!" she chirped, poking at him. "Memory Journal, hm?" Thadea said curiously before letting out her hand and gently running her finger along the book's spine. "Well that's one way to do it. It must be fun having one; somethingt to look back on!" she smiled. "Lose the notebook...? Hm, well, if that ever happens, you can always make a new one." she chirped, "Make new memories!"

Alex then stopped...... He grappled his pencil, he didn't let go. "It's a curse.... Every time I lost bits of my memory, I feel a sharp pain in my brain and down my spine. It hurts so much....... And even if I lose this memory journal, how will I remember who I am?" The young man had a tear drop going down his cheek, him crying was the worst. He cries too often about the little things but this is different. Who'd want to lose their memories all the time and feel that much pain?

Thadea pauses when hearing a crack in his voice turn to sobs. She shushed him softly, rubbing his back, "Everyone loses themeselves sometimes," she assured, "And we always find ourselves again." she smiled to him confidently. "If you were to ever lose yourself, well," she pointed to herself and grinned a bright beam of pride, "I'll be like your second journal!" she giggled. "I can already tell a lot about you, even if we haven't known each other long."

Alex hugged her in happiness, glad that she cares and that he won't lose himself anymore. It was rare that anyone would ever care about him let alone actually get to know him and keep tabs on him. There is still the fact that he has nothing left of his original past, how he lost his entire memory once before.... The day he lost his parents and found his "Memory Journal." "Thank you. You want to hang out after school?"

Walking up to the school, Azalea let out a silent sigh. She knew that she had come after the bell had rung for the first class to start so she quickened her pace and entered the school. Glancing around, she spotted the sign that said "Office". Entering the office, she went up to the receptionist and gave them a note, explaining her lateness. The receptionist gave her a pitying look then wrote out a note for her to give to her teacher. Thanking the receptionist in a soft tone, she walked out and turned her gaze to the map she had of the school. Discovering where her class was took under a minute and she quickly took off towards it. After about 3 minutes, she arrived at the door. Taking in a breath to calm her jittery nerves, she delicately raised her hand and knocked 4 times on the door; loud enough for the teacher to hear but quiet enough to not disrupt the class.
