First Training Session (Shizu and Aesop/Finished)

Shizu was completely adjusted to catching the spinning shield and it became a three step process for the meister. Focus, Throw, Catch. Then repeat. Each throw was stronger than the last until she eventually paused for a moment to catch her breath. "Just a moment." She stated in between breaths.

She felt the weapon for a moment, despite what she had thought a shield would feel like, the weapon was warm. Probably from the friction of from the spinning on the tree and the consistent movement.

"It is going pretty well, huh?" she replied and smiled ear-to-ear. She swung back and forth on her ankles as she viewed their progress.

Aesop chose to remain in weapon form when Shizu stopped to take a break. The longer he remained that way, the more comfortable he felt. He supposed that he enjoyed the feeling of being used, terrible wording aside. Or rather, he felt more useful in this form than in human form.

"Most definately," his voice echoed out from the shield, "Before we started I thought it was going to be a lot more difficult." Though he had to admit they still had a long way to go before the were ready to fight any kishin.

"It's too bad the trees can't run away. Our real targets aren't exactly going to patiently wait for us to attack," Aesop stated, "But then again I might feel bad if the trees were trying to escape when we attacked them."

As a meister in training, Shizu was mesmerized by how great they had been doing. She was a bit disappointed, however. She did enjoy a challenge... that's what she expected this first training session to be, after all. Even though they had a long way to go, they had a great start.

"I can't help but feel the same way." Shizu replied and fixed her grio on the shield. The wind had picked up some as the day went on. The sun was also much lower than how it was when they began. "Have we really been training this long? " the meister asked and looked up at the sky.

She hadn't really noticed before, but the scenery was beautiful. The sun as it set caused a red, orange and yellow hue to cast over the trees, which were a beautiful shade of green. "Wow..." she said in awe.

Aesop transformed back into human form and stared at the sunset. Time really does fly, he thought. The colors seemed to blend together seamlessly, without a notion of where one color ended and the others began. Directly above them, the sky was turning a pale grayish-purple. Hints of starlight were flickering through the haze.

"It sure is beautiful, Miss Shizu," he said quietly.

Shizu closed her eyes and outstretched her hand, as if to catch the last ray of light that the sun had cast.

"We should head back soon shouldn't we?" the meister asked and stretched out her arms. "Im a bit sore from throwing so much for the first time..." she muttered to herself.

The sun's last chuckle was finally heard, then the moon started to take it's reign over the sky.

"I have to agree," Aesop stretched his arms, "As odd as it seems, I'm a little sore myself." He had stayed in weapon form longer than he was used to. Now his human form felt as stiff and unnatural as when he first transformed into a shield.

"It's getting dark quickly," he noted, "Do you want me to walk you home, Miss Shizu?"

Shizu stopped stretching once her asked her for him to escort her and she nodded. "Yes, I think that would be best." The meister grinned and looked one last time at the tree with the large gash in the side, she would remember this tree. She knew she would.

"Okay, let's get going." Shizu gushed and started walking back to the more heavily populated area of Death City, which was where her apartment was.

The moonlight cast unnatural shadows in the trees and grass. Misshapen faces appeared in the bark of the trees they passed by. The sounds of the forest had taken an eerie turn. Taking a stroll through the middle of a forest at night. Totally not creepy in any way.

He locked arms with Shizu, standing as close to her as he could. That's just what gentlemen did when walking a lady home, he told himself. It wasn't because of the worsening, creepy atmosphere at all.

(OOC: I'll be honest, I'm not sure where to go from here. Should we continue a thread in Death City or just wait until something else comes up?)

The meister might notve shown it, but she was beyond relieved that Aesop had offered to escort her home, if he hadn't, she wouldve ran like her life depended on it. Even as a child, Shizu had feared the idea of darkness... it was all just too eerie and creepy for her liking. She clung tight on his arm and tried to not look anywhere but ahead, bad things tended to happen when someone turned around in the dark...at least in the movies.

Once they got to the populated area, the meister sighed with relief... Man that forest was scary... she thougt and looked up at her weapon, he seemed so calm and collected...which made Shizu embarrassed, she had been such a wuss... "I can go from here, thank you. It wqs great training with you today! " she thanked and darted to her home.

(OOC: Well, I think that this one has served its purpose, so either continuing one of our others or starting a new would be best.)
