| Elodin decided to take a quick venture into Death City, and see what could be learned there. Despite being a witch, or perhaps because of it, and nearly 333 years of being alive, Elodin had never come to the city, preferring to stay away and persue his education elsewhere. And this suited him just fine, as he really wasn't interested in the Meisters and weapons before here recently. He had devoted his realms of study elsewhere. He had attended great French and Italian culinary schools, and then graduated from a third here in the United States. He had studied Medicine at no less than 3 universities over the years. Then there were the Psychology, Philosophy, Biology, Computer, Math, Economics, Business, Military, and a great many other subjects he held degrees in. If one wanted a full list of his Degrees, they need only visit his home and mansion, in which his study walls were pretty much covered in them. Not far from 250 years of his life had been on Univeristy dorms, give or take another decade or two. As a result, Elodin had a great many diplomas in a great many topics, and all that done just to satisfy his curiousity. But now he was growing a bit bored of Academia, having covered all the fields of study he could think of, and then taking refresher courses later. In short, he was diving headfirst into the more "supernatural" world he had neglected for so long. It was a chance to take his studies in another, more exciting, direction.
At any rate, he was here now and that was the point. Elodin had a striking and yet odd look about him. He stood only 5 feet 6 inches tall, which was fairly short for a guy. Yet he wore a nearly entirely black outfit. He wore a long sleeved black shirt, which bore various bright yellow accents to it. Over his legs he wore simple black pants, again with bright yellow accents. This same color scheme extended then to his boots, and then to his most intriguing bit of clothing perhaps, his long flowing cloak. He wore it hood down at the moment, and innumerable little pockets were attached to the cloak, in which he kept various things. His black hair came down only to the top of his neck, only between 4-5 inches long. But much of his was invisible, hidden by a black hat which he wore. This hat, rather than being "Witchy" was somewhat semi-formal, and once again featured the bright yellow accents. Overall this gave him a rather striking and sharp appearance, and a rather intriguing silhouette. As for the setting, he was currently at a small half-outside caffe. And he was drinking a cup of coffee. There was not a single suspicious thing in that. Granted that in this time period seeing someone wearing a cloak wasn't something you saw every day. But Elodin had no cares for the modern fashion statements. A waiter walked by, and Elodin seized his chance. "What is with the lackadaisical and egregious service. I ordered nearly 20 minutes ago." The waiter sighed and abandoned his task to go talk to someone inside. With any luck something would be done. It was coffee. Coffee and a few sandwiches. 20 minutes on a non-crowded day was just unacceptable for such a simple order. Elodin eyed the Shibusen, thinking about the downright avant-garde architecture of the building.
(Please try to post at least a good paragraph, just a few lines is a buzzkill for me. ^^)

| Wielding nothing but her scepter, and with a small group of bees following from a fair distance above, Metilda was also venturing through Death City....well kind of. She was only here after hearing from a small spying group of her most trusted bees that she could perhaps make a potential ally. From what she gathered, this witch would be in a nearby cafe, not odd. But what could be odd is how it would look for an 8-9 year old girl to attend a cafe when in reality she's anout 340. And to make it more odd, she was dressed in queen attire, with a striped crown no less. But she was able to seat herself not far from Elodin with no questioning from others, but a few odd glances given her attire was inevitable, but she took the glances of criticism with a grain of salt. A waiter eventually approached her asking courteously her choice of beverage, despite her appearance. "Green tea, a little honey on the side if its okay." She glanced at Elodin again, then signaled to ger bees to scatter, as opposed to flying in their standard group formation. To scatter nearby, around Elodin preferably, in case something of sorts were to happen. Perhaps it wouldn't help to make an attempt of small talk "May I ask your opinion of the weather this morning?" She asked him, admiitedly looking odd that someone, seemingly a child would ask a man that, and with her soul protect active it would be obviously hard to tell if she was a witch. |

| Chaos appeared, a bit from Death City, frankly he was bored, so why not make chaos in the home of the man who hunts us down and murders us? He looked at the crow on his shoulder which flew off as he turned into a crow, them both flying towards Death City. They flew into a cafe, seeming to land above too people, a little girl playing princess, and a short dude with an obsession for black and yellow. He decided to have his fun, the kid would have to much imagination to think she was going insane so he decided on the black and yellow man. "hey, hey black and yellow boy." He would whisper to the man. If the man looked up it would look like him and his crow wear fighting over area nothing more. Suddenly a random song was playing, form nowhere. (Song below) oooo, this will help screw with people. He thought as all of the people in the bar looked around the area tryign to fins the source of the music. |

| Suddenly Chaos noticed the new soul off in the distance. This peeked his interest and suddenly flying off his friend going with him. You's think a kid would keep soul protect on. He thought. |

| Although she hadn't made her presence known, be assured, Amelia was there. She sat in the cafe, one leg crossed over the other in a polite fashion, the dress she had chosen that day rather poof-y, and unnaturally showy for someone such as her self, adorned with many lace-y patterns in various reds and pinks that she so enjoyed. Other than that, she wasn't particularly dolled up that day, although she had decided to leave her hair down rather than tie it up as she usually did. A young bat sat on her shoulder, whom she fed small crumbs of sugar that she was constantly asking the waitstaff for, likely partly why they had such issue getting all the orders out today. Of course, there was also the fact that she was stealing their workers for experiments. But who'd find out, she had a man, he got rid of the bodies, everything was fine. As she stared around the room, only a few people caught her eye. Two, to be precise. One, a rather young girl who seemed to be acting as royalty, and a smaller man that enjoyed colors of the black and yellow variety. Rather than approach them, she sat and waited, her cup of tea sitting in front of her. She stirred as small packet of sugar into it before raising it to her lips to take a sit, while she stared at the two strangers that she found so intriguing. |

| { Due to Belac's entrance and then immediate exit, we will be ignoring it, pretending he never posted, Amelia seems to agree as well. No hurtful feelings meant, but I really didn't understand it anyway. Something about fighting over an area...huh? }
Elodin had been spending some time watchign the shibusen, as though expecting something to happen. Truth was, of course, that he expected nothing to happen regarding it. But he was soaking in the look of it. But, after a few moments, he turned to look around him, spotting a rather odd girl, probably not much more than 8 years old, who seemed to be playing dress up. Now of course this got his attention, because when he was a child, you certainly wouldn't let your kid out in public in such an outlandish costume. That was just something you didn't do. Elodin managed to keep these thoughts to himself, but he felt a profound lack of respect for whoever left some child alone, and in such an outfit. But what truly attracted more attention was the fact that it came complete with a crown and scepter. In short, it amused Elodin to a degree. With another glance around, he spotted someone he had either not noticed before, or was new to arrive, a woman in a style of dress that immediately took him back to the fashions of more than a century ago. Back when clothing such as that was the high style of the wealthy women. He had seen many such dresses in his travels, especially while he stayed in Europe. It made him reminisce a bit, thinking about it.
Granted, one could say that Elodin wasn't in typical modern garb either. Cloaks were not the fashion anymore. That said, he found them most useful. A cloak was perhaps the most versatile piece of clothing one could own. If you were stuck outside at night with no place to sleep, worst come to worst, it could be your bed and blanket. If it rained, it kept you dry. A clever person could conceal all manner of weaponry inside it, and a smaller assortment if you are not clever. All in all, they were perhaps the most useful bit of clothing a person could own. A bee moved nearby, and Elodin watched it absentmindedly, before long, he noticed another, then another. Now most people would pay little attention on a fine day such as this, in a nice half indoor, half outdoor cafe, (as I specified in my first post.) but Elodin was a witch, more importantly, the animal type he was linked to was a bee. And that made him more aware of that animal than others. Elodin began tracing a small pattern with his finger. It wasn't much, but a sort of atypical figure 8, only squished a bit so that the intersection was a line between the fatter 0 sections. Each time he reached that point, he wiggled his finger, though wiggle wasn't the right word, he moved it too fast for that. It was almost an unconcious movement. But it was one he did regardless, aware that he was doing it, and focusing on the bees, attempting to attract them.
You see bees perform various types of "dances" to tell others where they have found good flowers and nectar. Elodin, being a bee witch, or perhaps more accurately, warlock, knew these patterns on an almost instinctual level. But then he was distracted by the oddly dressed child talking to him. "May I ask your opinion of the weather this morning?" Before Elodin began to think of a response, a tray and cup were sat down, not at all quietly, in front of him. Elodin turned to see the server walking away, looking disgruntled. Elodin frowned slightly, before turning back to the girl, looking her over more closely now, continuing his odd tracing and dancing movement with his unused index finger. "The weather is pleasant, despite the sun being excessively scintillating. Though I can't say the same for the plodding and impertinent wait-staff." Elodin watched the girl curiously, thinking. His mind was torn between two conundrums. Firstly, the rather odd girl, secondly, the bat the previously mentioned woman seemed to have as a pet. it was in day, so it was amusing to see a bat simply being out in the day, in such a salient manner nonetheless. Elodin pulled a small plastic bottle from one of the many small pockets in his cloak, and added some honey to the coffee, not trusting the cafe to have decent honey. He stirred it, and took a sip, before adding a little more, and stowing his honey away back in it's pocket. Elodiin could keep all manner of unusual things in his cloak. With another sip, he bit into a sandwich. Elodin sighed, and seemed to murmur "Scarcely tolerable." |

| Excuse me? Was she wanted to say to this man's words. I guess I can pick out that its a nice day except for the waiting staff? His vocabulary was....well...what's the right word...to advanced for her. Practically what he had said nearly went over her head! Hell, it was probably like communicating with someone who spoke a different language. "Um....okay?" She said questionably to his response, finally taking his attention to what the man was doing with his fingers, and to see that his attention was on...bees... Perhaps this could be another conversation starter.... But before she she can get a word out to keep the conversation alive, she witnessed to see how her own bees were being attracted to his somehow irresistible hand gestures...to bees of course. Perhaps he was a bee warlock? No...that can't be right, her own bees would've told her this! Well granted they make mistakes every now again...I guess I can forgive them....again. She shrugged off her bees being attracted to...that, and decided to bring up the conversation of bees, to perhaps learn more of this warlock. "So, I see that you take a liking to bees." She gestured to whatever the man was doing. "I take a liking to the insects as well. Tell me, I know this might seem sudden...but are you a warlock?" Immediately after asking that question, she pondered on whether or not to deactivate her soul protect for a moment, as it was already odd enough that a child was talking to a grown man, and the man is obviously not aware that she is a witch, forcing her to question on whether she should and spare explaining later on why a child would ask such an "out there" question. |

| Amelia watched the two converse, becoming more and more interested every second. Her familiar, who was not very much enjoying being fed sugar cubes flew off to look for something more appetizing. What it found was a stray bee, which it caught and slurped up quickly, enjoying the tasty little snack before returning to it's owner's shoulder. "Hm. Bees. They seem to like bees. I wonder if that'll effect them in any way." She wondered calmly, deciding that these two were either magical, or highly eccentric. She calmly went back to sipping her tea, before brightly thanking the waitstaff for the cookies they had placed on her table. What? She was still a young girl, after all. She bit into one of the cookies with gusto as she continued her visual experimentation.
(A bit weak, but I'm trying.) |

| Elodin was thoroughly disappointed with the sandwiches they had brought him. He had paid for their food, he expected it to be worth his money. Unfortunately, it was barely palatable. He ate another slow bite of his sandwich, thinking. A look of disgruntled tolerance coming to his face as he bit into it a third time. After the first two barely tolerable bites, it seemed to improve slightly. With that, Elodin stopped wasting time by actually tasting the food he had paid for. That said, whether one should even call the money he paid 'his' was up for debate. He had after all stolen thousands upon thousands of dollars over the years. And then, after stealing, he put the vast majority of his money in high interest bank CDs. And it had been those that had paid for the home. But Elodin's new methods were far less physically involved. Why, anymore you just needed to magically steal a credit card or two, and if possible a bank statement, and you could even steal money people didn't really have. The dawn of the "credit card" was a thief's dream come true. Now a good thief could steal some information from someone with an empty wall it, and use it to steal thousands of dollars. So arguably it wasn't his money he used to pay for his food and drink. Though considering he used magic in his theft, linking the crimes back to him would be near impossible, so as far as anyone knew, it was his.
Bees seemed to gather around and on his hand, something he was also used to in his hundreds of years being a bee witch. You didn't live a long life (compared to a human) and have a link or connection to bees, without becoming used to the feel of them being on you. So it wast even a distraction to him at this point. But this seemed to be noticed by the odd dress-up girl. She seemed to have her wits about her, as at least she was fully aware of his hand. "So, I see that you take a liking to bees." Elodin looked at her more directly. But she simply gestured, and continued. "I take a liking to the insects as well. Tell me, I know this might seem sudden...but are you a warlock?" Elodin looked up towards her eyes, and focused his gaze. It was one that some people claimed that felt like he was looking into their very soul, or X-raying them. Whether she could feel it or not, Elodin had no idea. Elodin disregarded such claims about his stares anyway. Regardless of such silly things, Elodin was searching her. He wanted to figure her out. She was something that caught his curiosity. Now that she had either knowledge of witches, or had just made an extraordinarily odd guess, she was more interesting to him. Granted that was expected to be the case, considering what looked like an 8 year old playing dress-up just guessed not only that he wasn't really human, but also his species. Elodin also begun to suspect that she was likely one of said witches. After all, she wasn't attacking, and there were an unusual amount of bees that were not his, and not there before s he arrived. Could there be 2 witches with the same animal? Elodin wasn't sure. "What an anomalous young lady you are. I must reciprocate, 'are you a witch?'" And that was all he had to say about it. Surely she must see the answer as if he had said it. He hadn't so much as flinched. Though before anything else could happen, Elodin watched a bat swoop down and devour a bee. This amused Elodin, however he felt no real attachment to that bee. It was just another bee. "Ahh wildlife, so mercurial." |

| Why does he keep talking like that....It irked her more than anything, but she held her tongue, refraining from possibly saying something that he could find offensive in some way. She was trying to make a first impression after all. At least this time she understood his vocabulary a choice a tad better than before, so she was able to respond as such, as opposed to her confusing "what" earlier. And as she assumed, he asked of her species as well, on whether or not she was a witch. "I am actually a witch, a queen bee witch to be exact." She said more quietly, as she didn't want to attract attention from others, but granted if you saw a little girl claiming that she was a witch, you would most likely pay them no mind, assuming that they were just sporting at that point, perhaps for attention. "And I'm assuming your something similar perhaps, because from what I can tell, bees are attracted to something about you, heck I think even my own bees are attracted to your....charms? When they should be on guard!" The last part was spoken pointlessly, her attention more or less drawn to the man, not noticing that the bat swooped in and devoured one of her bees. The only thing that probably could've brought her attention to it was the warlock's response, but she still didn't pay that no mind. "May I ask a bit of a personal question, such as age? I'll let you know I'm 340" |

| Amelia was almost awash with interest in these two figures. She found it quite hard to sit still, especially after the quite sugary tea. With careless abandon, she approached the other two, still carrying her cookies. She curtsied to Elodin and smiled at Metilda with fake kindness. "Hello, you two. Pardon me for interrupting, but I was just so interested by the two of you. I was simply enjoying my time here in this cafe when I happened to hear the word Witch float through the air. I was very intrigued by this, seeing as I happen to be a witch myself." She petted the top of her familiar's head with a finger. "A bat witch, to be very precise." Amelia spoke of her heritage with the kind of pride many people would have defending the United States of America. "Amelia. It a pleasure to meet both of you." She said her name without having it asked, because that's how Amelia rolled. |

| Elodin was quite interested in figuring out this whole thing. Firstly, she had guessed that he was a warlock. And that had been interesting in and of itself. How had she even known the correct terminology? Clearly she wasn't just some weird child whose parents let run amok playing dress up. Clearly there was some knowledge. What was the likelihood of such a child calling a warlock a warlock? Of her going to what was likely the only warlock in the city, and calling them it. Clearly she wasn't simply a human. But soul protect was on, so even a meister shouldn't be able to see his soul. As a result, she was probably a witch herself if she was in the know. But she then did him the service of confirming his suspicions. "I am actually a witch, a queen bee witch to be exact." A queen bee? Yes he got the joke for sure at this point. That explained the odd clothing and the crown. It was hard not to get the joke, really. The joke was glaringly obvious once he knew she had the bee as her "animal" though, that said, bees are insects, which are far different from animals. But more interesting that that was that she was a bee witch. It was amusing to discover that "animals" even repeated themselves amongst witches. He hadn't been sure on that point before now. "And I'm assuming your something similar perhaps, because from what I can tell, bees are attracted to something about you, heck I think even my own bees are attracted to your....charms? When they should be on guard!"
So, she was guessing he was something similar. He could say otherwise, but the group of bees on his hand would contradict him, especially if some of those bees, if not all of them, were indeed "hers." But what was perhaps more interesting than anything else, was that she was using them as guards. She expected the bees to be effective guards? Clearly she needed to train them better, if his marking was easily distracting them. But it did explains the unusual number of bees. Sure bees were drawn to him all the time, but looking back, they seemed to appear more as the odd girl got to the cafe. Well, they say hind-sight is 20/20, and that phrase was being proven now. Elodin was not entirely sure if he had any plans to reveal his identity to her, as, after all, she had left her name unknown. But then she spoke once more. "May I ask a bit of a personal question, such as age? I'll let you know I'm 340" That was another interesting tidbit. Why was she so hesitant about her age? He understood why any human might me. Humans had, at best, 120 years. And that was being very highly generous. It was usually 40-50 years shorter than that. So perhaps to a human, asking someones age was not far from asking how much longer could they expect to live. But considering witches lived hundreds of years, and not just hundreds in the small plurals, like 2 or 3 hundred, but far beyond that. So asking a witch how old they are seemed like something that was entirely non personal. After all, even if he was 900, it wasn't like he was about to keel over.
But just then, the other girl that he had payed some attention to seemed to come over as well. She gave a polite curtsy to Elodin, and a smile to the queen bee. Elodin had to admit he was happy she had some manners. She hadn't just barged up to them, she had eased up a bit, and had the manners to curtsy. it was quite an improvement other the typical unmannerly human. But she quickly resolved any wonder as to her race. "Hello, you two. Pardon me for interrupting, but I was just so interested by the two of you. I was simply enjoying my time here in this cafe when I happened to hear the word Witch float through the air. I was very intrigued by this, seeing as I happen to be a witch myself." Well, that was polite of her, to clear up that matter quickly. Although it did earn some slight suspicion. What was the likelihood of 3 witches, all meeting at the same cafe, and in Death City no less, completely by coincidence? Elodin was prepared to bet the odds were pretty slim. And that meant one of them had likely sound out this meeting. And based on the "queens" behavior, he was going to bet it was her. After all, she had just brazenly walked up, and on her second comment called him out. It was just rude to call someone out like that in public. What if a meister just happened to be at this cafe? It was Death City after all. That wouldn't at all be a surprise. So he wondered what she knew, and if these bees had been spying on him? {{OoC: Not that they could have as this was his first topic.}}
"A bat witch, to be very precise." So she was a bat witch? That explained the bat eating a bee a few moments ago. And it seemed less likely than before that the two witches were in some kind of partnership, if her familiar? was just going to be eating the bees of the other witch. That said, the same "queen bee" witch, hadn't batted an eye. Clearly these bees were just nameless tools to her. "Amelia. It a pleasure to meet both of you." Now, as Amelia had the curtsey to follow etiquette and curtsy, Elodin was even more rigid in his greeting than normal. Though he would bow anyway, it was a 327? year old habit. He stood and pulled out his arm, using the motion to flick aside his cloak in such a way that it fluttered elegantly, and extended his arm, bending it and placing it against his abdomen, toward the boundary between his groin and abdomen, and made a deep elegant bow. He held it for a moment, and lifted himself back up into a full standing position, no slouching whatsoever. "Elodin Jakis, at your service miss Amelia.I must say, you have exquisite taste in clothing, it suits you perfectly. And I guess if the young miss here is a queen bee, that would make me a king bee?" Elodin chuckled slightly, very slightly, at the comment at the end. Male bees were sent out to find new queens, and start new hives. After that, they were basically sex slaves for the queen at best. Male concubines you could say, if they were not killed, or died of other causes. He had laid slight emphasis on the word 'young', chosing to use it only as a preventative measure against any meisters nearby, or other witches. Elodin turned back toward the "queen" and spoke again. As for her clothing, it matched his old fashioned tastes. He always through women and girls looked better in dresses. And in general his tastes were old fashioned. It extended to himself, who wore cloaks nowadays? "I am 332, very nearly 333" He said this very quietly, though not a whisper, and attempted to make it clear, it was a measure against being overheard, as clearly that had been a problem up until this point, after all, Amelia had easily overheard the "queen bee" speaking. This "queen" clearly lacked much care or worry about being overheard. |

| He called me young... She gripped tighter on her scepter, gritting her teeth as well in an attempt to diverge her immediate frustration from what she had just been described by her peer. Normally she probably wouldn't get so worked up over something seeming relatively minor, but that's because most people don't know her true age to begin with, and as such accepts their ignorance and thinks nothing of it. But since she pretty much told Elodin her age, she took it to more of an offense, as she despised being referred to as "young" or "child" or any label that would be deemed similar in her eyes. But she quickly got over her anguish of the topic when she considered that perhaps he said in a joking manner. Anyway back to the topic at hand.
She nodded back to the newcomer witch, in an attempt to show some sort of respect, granted she never knew her....personally anyway, as she was rather aware of who she was thanks to her bees, but decided to keep that a tad "hush hush" until she saw fit to say something, which could be never. "Nice to meet you Amelia! And as for you Elodin, I don't think I told you my name...My name is Metilda 'Elizabeth' Robinson." The Elizabeth part didn't mean anything, she just added her false middle name as a tribute to rulers of England's past, so other than that, it has no real significance. |
