The archiological feild trip. ( private. )

Edward Gideon was enjoying his first day at the d.w.m.a, after all it started with a field trip! For many students it was a totally optional get out of class for a day trip, ( Though teachers still expect you to take it seriously. ) for others it was a forced remedial lesson to either get their grades up or taken as punishment. The bus rolled through the desert to a castle archeologists had just dug up. This was both an archeological trip and an important one. As this used to be the den of a necromancer, and who knows what nasty traps could be left behind!
Edward stepped out of the bus his light frame shielded from the hot wind by a poncho. He was the first to get out and everyone else raced to get out of the melting hot bus into the wind, the nerd was trampled.

Lukas and Aurora also stepped out of the bus and looked around.
"Hm..Nothing special" Lukas noticed
Aurora shook her head. "Oh come on..This trip may be interesting." The witch said.
The meister crossed his arms "I don't think so." He muttered.
Well for Aurora this trip was interesting, but for Lukas it was boring.

Edward extended his hand to about waist high level where people can see him. " Owwww.... "
But had another pair of feet squash him as Gabriel came out. Being glad that his trench cloak had a hood. Looked at his gloved hands. " Prosthetics are cool but they Shure do take it out of me. "

The kids on the field trip were finally settling down into a quiet stir when a small, blue-haired girl stepped off the bus. She glanced left, then right, paused, then tripped rather than walked towards the rest of the group. Once she got her balance back, she looked around to make sure no one had seen her. With wide red eyes, she tip toed around to the back, trying to remain quiet. She felt sand kicking up into her shoes, and she attempted to flick the grains out. Instead, the sand flung up, hitting the back of her ankle and scaring her so much she squeaked. 

She didn't recognize any of the kids on the trip. Not one of them. She was alone, as usual. Her only friends were either in Europe or back at the Academy. But she wouldn't let that get to her, not here. No. She decided to come on this field trip (and not fake illness like she normally would have) to become more independent. She was always clinging to the people that she knew and trusted, yet she didn't trust herself. So she would earn her own trust, and learn to survive without leaning on others.  

And so here she was, alone and terrified amid scary strangers in the middle of nowhere with nowhere to go and no way to escape. Yep. She felt so safe here. So...very....safe.....

Edward stood up. He wasn't badly bruised but he was sore. " Hey did you get your partner assigned to you yet? " He was talking about trip partners. All weapon meister pairs were grouped up but the undecided ones got cast into other groups. " Your Lucil right? I looked you up when I got saw on the notice board that we wear paired for this. Names Edward, nice to meet you. " He dident extend his hand as social events were a mystery to them.
Gabriel strode over to Lucas and aurora. " You saw the notice board right? We're teamed up for this mission, the three of us. "

Luci glanced at Edward, confusion spreading over her mind. "Partners? I don't remember reading anything about partnering..." Fear began to creep into her thoughts, What? I-I can't work with someone I don't know, I-I'll screw something up or something....I know I will! What? She was lost in her terrified thoughts, unable to form sentences. I thought this would be easy! I didn't think I'd have to socialize or work with other people....This is a disaster! I should never have come!! She stared uneasily at the ground, her red eyes hidden from view by her strikingly blue hair.

The meister looked at Gabriel and nodded. "Oh Yeah..Cool." He said emotionless.
"Don't be so cold..." Aurora said
Lukas just put his hands into his coat's pocket and mumbled something that nobody could understand. If was obvious that he was in bad mood.
But Aurora was in great mood. Somehow she felt very happy, she didn't know why. Maybe because she loves school trips. Yeah..Maybe that's why.

Note (Ignore if you want): I use german version of name Lucas. That's why I always write Lukas.
And also because Polish version of this name is Łukasz.

Suddenly a man walked out of the castle. He wore the garb of an archeologist. "Ah the children from the field trip. Time for an educational security job, come inside, come inside. "
Edward shrugged. " Ahh you and me both. Lets get out of this beading sun. " He started following the crowd in.
Gabriel strode over without another word. The sand was getting in his new joints.
Inside a team of archeologists where all waiting inside the main thrown room. The castle looked on the outside as if the half of it had been blown off. Inside the place was in ruin, but it was still an excellent example of history.
the head archeologist addressed them. " Alright the dungeons are off limits, we're reading high radiation levels and that isn't surprising this entire place was made on a bed of uranium. Every group will partner with another group, then they will accompany an archeologist to different rooms. We will rotate every half hour until twelve a clock, where we break for lunch. Oh. " He gestures to a bejeweled broadsword stuck firmly in a stone right in front of the throne. " We have reason to believe that this sword has been cursed by the witch who used to live here, do not touch. HEY YOU IN THE BACK! " He pointed at a random student here for discipline issues. " NO TOUCHIES! Now lets get moving. "
The groups of Edward and Lucil joined Gabriel's. And they were lead to the only standing tower all the way up to the highest room. They were given a cowardly archiologist with more fear than normal witches. " O-Open the door please. " He said looking uncomfortable.

"HEY YOU!" Kokoa heard and her head immediately turned to the archeologist guiding them "NO TOUCHING!" The small girl giggled nervously at the scolding "Sorry~!" She called childishly before walking in the direction of a random group, which obviously wasn't hers. She had gotten distracted once again.

She didn't react until she heard an unfamiliar voce asking to open a door. Wait, a door? What door? She turned to see where the voice came from and her eyes widened. She didn't know this people at all! What was this?! Oh wait, that's... Gabriel! Oooh! And Aurora!

"Uh..." She spoke up "I think I followed the wrong group so... Hi?" She giggled nervously once again hoping someone would hear her.

Lucille, shaking off her fears, followed the group closely into the ruins. She held back a gasp of awe as she saw the destroyed inside, eyes wide with interest. She listened intently to what the archeologist said, and sighed when he declared partners would be joining another group of two. She glanced at Edward nervously, but followed him-despairingly and silently-towards another group.

" Its alright kokoa. " Gabriel said. " You'll do fine with us. " Then he opened the door and the group entered a room, all over the walls were diagrams. They hadn't been touched in almost ninety years. But they depicted technology that we still don't have today.
Edward plucked a diagram from a wall then blew the dust off it. " H-Hey, be carful with that! " The archeologist said with volume acceptable in a library. It depicted a set of wings. Mostly furry but with a back set of feathers. " So strange... " He said.
There were diagrams of armor, though it looked more like a fashionable dress made out of bullet proof plastic. There was a diagram for a bow that could use the archers soul wavelength to charge the arrows with explosive power. And in the biggest diagram was that of a ship, power ore. Would be refined and funneled into the engine. Then the engine would regulate the fission. It was way to large to succeed however. And hung on a clothes hanger in a closet was a super thick cloth suit with a toxin filter that looked like it served as hasmat gear.
" Did the witch live here? " Gabriel asked.
" Probably not. " Said Edward. " This suit looks like it could fit a teenage girl not an old hag. " He striated his glasses as usually his fashion knowledge of dress ware got him punched in the nose.

Luci looked over Edward's shoulder at the diagram he had picked up. She blinked in surprise upon seeing that it depicted a bow that could use the archer's soul wavelength to charge the arrows. That was exactly what she could do! Well, without the explosive part. But she was a bow...how odd a coincidence.

"Oooh~" Kokoa cooed. "Drawings!" She then exclaimed before poking every single diagram in the room "Pokey, pokey, hokey pokey~!" She said in a song-song voice as she did so she then approached the group who were watching a dress for some unknown reason. "That dress is soooo around ninety years ago~!" Kokoa attempted to make an impersonation of a preppy voice. She probably shouldn't have eaten that big bag of candy. She so shouldn't have.

"Hm..Well..I didn't know that the witches were interested in fashion." Aurora said as she looked at the diagram of armor. As a witch that place was very interesting for her. She felt a magical aura around there.
Lukas looked at the diagrams, this time it looked interestig for him.. "Interesting.." The meister muttered. Then he looked at Kokoa. "Actually this dress would look cool on Aurora." He said somehow quietly. It was just Lukas' thought. Well..Sometimes Anna, his sister, also thinks loudly.
"Uhm..Th-thanks.." Aurora said, a little confused. But somehow she would even agree with the meister.

Meanwhile in an underground bunker in death city.
" Champion! " A witch said on a regal throne. A large muscle bound man covered head to toe in red tattoo answers her. " Yes lady Cynthia? " He said with a bow. " It looks like we have some " Guests " in my old fortress. Show them some lethal hospitality. Oh be a dear an check up on trinity while your there. " The man stood up. " I will proceed post haste! " He said before running off.
" Well its clear. " said Gabriel. " That the " Power crystals " were uranium. That explains the rad suit in the closet, do you think she tried to make the ship, but failed and it blew up. Killing her and demolishing half the castle.

"I..I have some bad feelings.." Aurora suddenly whispered. She knew that somethign will happen..AS ALWAYS! As always, someone will hurt or someone will die! That happens to her too often! So today something has to happen! She felt it in her bones.
"Hm? Uhm..Okay?" Lukas answered. Actually whatever would happen today, he was prepared. He had his vambraces, hidden blades and darts so he felt save. But nobody knew that they will have a special guest..Well..More than one.

Luci jumped at Aurora's words, fear sinking in, real fear this time, not just antisocialism. As a former street kid, she knew to trust your gut. She said nothing, but shrunk into herself, making herself smaller and less noticeable. Her red eyes wide with fear, she let her blue hair fall in front of her face. If something happened, would she be able to help?

Kokoa turned to Aurora and gasped over-dramatically, obviously in a mocking manner "Could it be..." She said before making a dramatic pause as she approached Aurora, got inches from her face after standing on her tiptoes and grabbed her shoulders "THE CURSED WITCH DRESSES?!" She then shouted as she shook the taller female.

Suddenly the tower shook. Screaming could just be heard from the first floor. The entire thing was slowly falling down. " OOOOOOOOUT!!! " Gabriel said as he turned into a falcon and shot through a breaking window. Edward jumped out right after him, scared but confident in his ability to survive. The archiologist ran out of the room screaming like he had been waiting for this to happen all day. The room was about eleven story's off the ground.
There were several options immediately available. If you can fly or stop a fall leap out the window, if you are fast enough sprint down the stairs. If these options don't please you then there's always locking yourself in the closet, the sturdiest room in here.

Aurora turned into a fennec fox and jumped into Lukas' arms.After that the meister began to run down the stairs, very, fast, ignoring the fact that Aurora was yelling with tears in her eyes: "IknewitIknewitIknewit! Why it's always happening to me!?"
"F*** my life!" The meister yelled as he jumped out of the building.
After that they landed on a sand and the witch turned back into her human form.

Luci screamed in terror. Once her screech ended, she breathed heavily before starting to run (clumsily) towards the exit. i should never have come here! Why did I decide to join? I'm an idiot! She closed her mouth, and focused on getting out. She tried to follow the fennec fox and Lukas, but was too slow to keep up. She lost them within a couple minutes, and was lost immediately. She had no idea where she was, no idea how to get out, and was surrounded by a crumbling castle. The little girl let out a wail of horror, hoping someone would hear her, and hopefully help her too.

As Edward was falling he took out his phone and focused. Suddenly a winged warrior formed in a burst of pixels, standing eight feet tall with its body covered entirely in armor. The only thing that showed of his eyes glowed blue. He caught him halfway down before he saw ( Through a smaller window halfway down the stairs. That a girl was about to be crushed. " Fear not milady! " He focused deeply into the screen of his phone once more and another angel warrior appeared. It immediately flew to the window, punched a gauntleted fist through the window. Picked the girl up by the scruff of her neck like a kitten and puller her out before the tower totally collapsed. It flapped there with no emotion holding her in its arms.

Luci squeaked in surprise as she was lifted off the ground by her dress collar. Eyes wide with fear, she was carried out of the tower just before it collapsed. She had squeezed her eyes shut when she was torn from the building, but now she peeled them open, an found herself staring at the ground from high above. She let out another terrified squeak and started to kick instinctively, as if she could keep herself suspended in the air that way. With a glance up, she saw she was being held up by some sort of winged human-like figure.

"What?" She asked in confusion.

Kokoa was beside Aurora, who was beside Lukas. "Weee, that was fun~!" She cheered before giggling childishly. She had been behind them all along, but they probably hadn't noticed until that moment, not that she even minded, though. She obviously wasn't aware of all the danger they were just in, anyways.

Gabriel landed right back at the entrance to the castle, with Edward and the pair of angels following. Once they were on the ground Edward held up his phone and the angels turned into a stream of pixels going back to their source. The doors were open and Gabriel ran inside followed by Edward. " Are you guys alright? " He asked.
