Silent Interactions (Open)

A thin sliver of moon hung high in the sky, casting a faint silver glow on the scene below. It was dark, stars dotting the night sky. Tall, green trees rose up from the ground, reaching up to the moon. A light breeze blew through the forest, stirring the fallen leaves and faded grass from the ground. Pine needles rattled and oak branches shivered. 

A noise pierced the silent air, calling loud and clear. The howl of a wolf. The sound of crunching leaves could be heard, along with quiet breathing. The darkness shrouded the being though, who stayed behind the trees, just out of view. The figure could be seen moving swiftly, darting in and out of sight. 

Then, the agonized wail of life being torn from an animal., and the sound of tearing flesh. A young deer lay on it's side, the life drained from it's eyes, replaced by a coldness one could not describe. Beside the dead creature stood a very large, yet lithe, silver wolf. The wolf had piercing, ice blue eyes, and blood dripping from it's lips. Red stained the white fur under it's chin. It opened it's jaws, reaching forward and ripping another hunk of meat from the deer. 

The wolf finished with it's meal, letting her tongue slither out to wipe the blood from around it's mouth. She yawned then, stood, and padded away from the deer's skeleton. She looked around her, her strangely human eyes full of intelligence and observation. Ears pricked, listening for any noise, she continued on, picking up the speed till she was trotting through the trees.

Among the pines, a man walked, hooded. This man was a man of many things, but perhaps one word will sum up his nature: Regret. Names Benny Faraldo, this man was a Kishin Egg. A rather pitiable one at that. He had journeyed to Switzerland after a ..... incident, in London, regarding his alter ego.

He had entered the forest after a close call with some academy students, looking to lay low. In his hand, he carried an axe. His current goal was to gather firewood so that he did not freeze. Switzerland, especially this part of it, was cold, after all.

He briefly scratched his scruffy, black beard. His general appearance was haggard, and ill looking. He had seen better days, after all. On his back, he carried his pack. In it was his 'supplies', consisting of two soup cans, a box of matches, a few euros, and the Black Book. On his side, he carried his sheath, a cavalry sword in it, and his holster, a pistol, empty of bullets, in it.

*James sat in the tree watching and listening*

James: Come on I know she has to be around here somewhere...

The wolf stopped in her tracks suddenly, and lifted her nose into the air. There was...something there. It was faint, but it was...something. A light breeze ruffled her fur, bringing with it the same scent, only stronger. She wrinkled her nose in disgust, the smell wasn't very pleasant. She almost backed away from it, but decided against it. 

What is that smell? She asked herself, slightly irritated. And she'd been having such a nice night. With an almost growl-like-sigh, she swung her head around to face the direction the scent came from. She turned reluctantly and began to stalk silently forwards, her feet barely even brushing the ground. The moon above the forest cast a soft light, setting a faint shadow behind her. 

She started to move a little faster, not fast enough to generate much sound, but enough that she would get there sooner. It wasn't long till she came to a point where the scent was so overwhelming that she had to stop. Sometimes, she hated being a wolf. But vague curiosity (and boredom) was getting the best of her. She stopped just behind an oak, peering around it's trunk to see a man. No, that's not right. She thought, He's not a man. Her piercing eyes squinted, staring intently at the...the thing. He looked like a man, but he wasn't. What is he? Shaking her head, she sat down. That was when she noticed another smell.

This was a more normal scent, but it wasn't. One she knew well though, the smell of the academy. Her lips raised, revealing sharp white teeth, forming a snarl. She looked around, trying to find the source of the scent. Her eyes narrowed when she found nothing. She didn't move from where she was, instead, she used a little magic. Not noticeable, no. No just a little...well, Soul Protect. Can't have a student getting a little cocky and thinking he can take her on now, can we? No. 

The wolf peeked around the trunk again observing the man. He sure was grubby looking wasn't he...a scrubby beard and quite a few weapons. Perhaps I should leave this alone...She told herself, taking a couple steps backwards.

Eventually, Benny found a nice, healthy looking tree with lots of low hanging, dry looking limbs. Hefting his axe, he began swinging it at the limbs, cutting them down. A.... perk....of his existence was the enhanced strength stamina he had. Eventually, he had a small pile of limbs. Hefting his axe into his backpack, he picked up the limbs in his arms, and began walking back to his hideout, a small cave he had found.

While he was doing this, he couldn't shake the feeling he was being watched....

Bah, it was probably nothing.

*James pulled up his mask and got his swords ready and jumped from the tree and landed behind the wolf*

(OOC: Uh Assassin, he can't know that the wolf is a witch, for one she's using Soul Protect and two she's in her animal form anyways, so he shouldn't know it's her either way.)

Ooc: You didn't let me finish!

*James just stood there looking at the wolf and smirked and walked past it, pursuing the man*

(OOC: Uh....well..you could have finished it yourself...plus details about what he's thinking about would be nice too, but ya know, whatever. BTW this is pry the last post as Beetle went to bed)

The wolf jumped when she felt the ground jolt behind her. She whipped around, growling as a boy jumped from the tree and landed behind her. This must be the Academy boy. She decided, taking a couple steps backwards. Inadvertently, she felt her a twig crack under her paw, the sound resounding about the trees. 

She was surprised then, though. For the boy didn't go for her, no, he smirked then darted past her. She swiveled around so she could see what he was doing, her brows furrowing in confusion. He's going after the man? That must mean....he's a Kishiin Egg, right? Was that what I smelled? It must have been. She nodded her head once, confirming her own thoughts. 

The wolf sat back down, licking her paw and watching the scene unfold. She knew it would end with one of them dead, so she definitely wanted to see this. Maybe some screaming and pain would occur too, oh the very thought gave her shivers. She yawned then, standing and shaking out her coat. She padded quickly forward, keeping pace with the Academy boy. She didn't want to miss a thing.

Pox: James is like 20.

*James notices that the wolf that he walked past was following him so he used his burst of speed to get out of it's line of sight the used the shadows to disappear into the trees*

"Fool..."

(I looked at his app, 18, that's not 20. And there's a posting order. It goes me, Codi, then you. You have to wait to post until Codi does. That's how it works)

Ooc: ok

The man continued to walk... Perhaps he could manage to find a rabbit. That would be nice. The only thing he had eaten in the last few days was canned carrots.

SNAP

Hearing the twig break, the man dropped his load, and swiveled around, drawing his gun. Sure, it was empty, but that was a fact known only to himself. "Hello? Anybody there? I don't want any trouble."

*James remains still on the branch above the man, peering down at him, he jumps backwards off of the branch and kicks the guy launching him in the opposite direction.*

James: "You have been accused of stealing an ancient artifact from the Shadow Clan that resides within this forest. give it back and I will only capture you, don't and I will take your life."

(OOC: Er... Mas, you realize that this thread is in EUROPE, SWITZERLAND, right? Generally not a ninja filled place. And also, you autohitted, which is a big no-no, and I stated earlier that my char had JUST arrived in the forrest. So, yeah, your post is all ten flavors of bad.)

The wolf stopped in her tracks when the man spoke, her eyes wide as she looked around for him. She noticed a tree with axe marks and small chunks of wood lying around it. He must have gotten himself some firewood...or something. She watched as the boy from before ran off (This is to get rid of him). The wolf rolled her eyes, Weak little coward. She chuckled under her breath, then turned back towards the direction of the man. 

She waited a moment, taking a second to decide what to do. She heard the chink of a gun, and let a whimper escape her wolf lips. It had been a while since she'd seen-well, heard-a gun. that was about, 10 or so years ago. She was suddenly hit with memories, one in particular of being shot at while running from the cops. That was when she'd been caught. She didn't like guns very much. 

He says he doesn't want any trouble....She thought, remembering his words after pulling herself out of the memory. Maybe I should just leave it alone. She wondered, beginning to turn away.
