Shizuka is primarily a ranged weapon (a bow); light-weight, three feet in length, and easy to maneuver, she can easily be used by beginning meisters or even well-trained ones. In her bow form, she does not require arrows, as she generates arrows through the beats of her and her partner's soul wavelengths (when the waves are in-tune, almost on the same frequency, creating sharp spikes of power). In fact, if one does try to use a physical arrow, Shizuka is most likely going to jam up and must revert back to human form to reset herself. When the frequencies are very well-aligned yet not quite in resonance, the girl is able to shoot explosive arrows that make mini explosions on impact.This is very effective, but can only be used every-so-often in a battle.
Though serving the best purpose as a ranged weapon, the ends of her bow self are sharp, usually allowing her partner to stab anyone as a last resort. This, however, isn't the strongest part of Shizuka and is prone to being broken by a stronger force.
In Soul Resonance, Shizuka becomes a bigger, five feet long bow, capable of shooting bigger arrows faster, even being able to shoot multiple arrows at once. Her primary move in Resonance is making three arrows, each with the capability to explode, and firing them to create a vast amount of destruction in a line. This can only be used once in the Resonance form, as it depletes her soul's energy.

Much of her appearance gives away her personality (being rather fragile and thin, with a perplexed look on her face constantly), so Shizuka is easily judged from first sight. She stands at a good five feet three inches in height with a weight of one hundred five pounds; because of this small frame, she can easily be mistaken for a child. She has soft, light skin with pink accents at elbows, knees, and hands, which is smooth and almost flawless. Her figure is petite, with a small (not virtually nonexistent however) bust and thin legs. With narrow shoulders, small hands, and "wimpy" arms, Shizuka really does give off the look of a child. If you look closely though, you will be able to note that her muscles are well-toned (though she looks awfully thin), as she is a regular swimmer to try and keep in shape. Her collarbone and back, especially, are very lean, giving her a defined collar and allowing her back to stay straight for long periods of time. Facial-wise, Shizuka has a heart shaped face with a sharp jawline and full cheeks. She has a particularly small nose and mouth, highlighted with rosy pinks which give her a healthy complexion. Her deep, ocean-blue eyes are fairly large, the pupils mere pinpricks (adding to her always-confused look). Her jet-black hair is medium length, brushing the tops of her shoulders in a wavy, messy pattern, and covers the front of her forehead with disheveled bangs. Her hair is heavily layered, so it often sticks out in random places.
What sticks out most about Shizuka is her manner of dress. For her, there is no such thing as "casual wear"; on her, people will often see a padded-shoulder blazer and skirt that match in color, a brooch sitting on the lapel and a collared shirt underneath, pulled together with different colored ties or bows. Her legs are almost completely covered by her black thigh-high socks, her black suede ankle-boots right underneath. On her hands, she constantly wears white gloves just to pull her look together. She likes to look classy, trying to appear more mature so that she isn't mistaken for a child. Shizuka also has many stud earrings, wearing them constantly as dangling ones will merely "look unprofessional". One common outfit she will usually be seen wearing is her grey blazer (adorned with silver buttons) and skirt with a silver flower brooch, a white silk collared shirt, and a deep red tie.

Personality: Shizuka is a timid, shy girl who likes to keep out of people's ways and do her own thing. Even though she is highly independent and is capable of taking care of herself, she is susceptible to nervous breakdowns in case she messes something up or if anyone yells at her. She is also usually very anxious, never staying still when a problem arises. She worries constantly about how she acts and looks and for those around her, be it a close friend or a complete stranger. I mean yes, she's very friendly and kind to many, but she lets herself get too attached, causing her great distress if even a minor injury was done unto them. Outside of this, she is studious and tries to do her best in all her classes. Though her physical status isn't the best, she is able to handle her own in a fight (just as long as it is one person). She also is very afraid of things unknown to her, not really willing to step out of the box to try new things. Besides her sweet, shy self, Shizuka can easily get angered if anyone does something to her distaste, be it actin rudely, trying to harm her friend in front of her, or trying to go against the law, she will explode and go into an all-out fury mode. But this doesn't usually happen.

History: Her life was rather normal, as she was a sole child to two weapons. She was raised well, but was susceptible to anxiety due to peer pressure at school, as she was easily bullied by everyone. She kept hiding herself, but her parents taught her to love everyone no matter what. So she did, trying to do favors for others and treating them nicely. Of course, the bullying sort of faded away, but the anxiety stayed. She was enrolled in local swimming classes, which helped her calm down and keep a stable head.
At thirteen, her parents decided to send her to the DWMA, as they were taught there and decided it best for the girl to be independent. Of course, this was not the best course of action, but Shizuka has held up well, even becoming more "herself" after her placement in the DWMA. Yet she is always at odds with her partners, never really sticking with one because their manner of fighting contrasted with hers. Along with this, they seemed to not understand how to deal with her anxiety and constant worrying, so she would jump around often.
