The Meeting (Arthas-SHizuka)

Arthas walked up to the large courtyard of the academy. The building shimmered with the rising sun and the three spikes glemed in the light. He stood there and decieded to take it all in. He had just arrived at the academy and was seeking a partner. He sensed all the warm blood in the area which almost made him puke, luckily he conjured himself a handful of snow to spread on his face.

A young girl made her way across the courtyard of the DWMA. She had pale skin and wore little clothing, consisting of a black sports jaket over small black jean shorts and what appeared to be a bikini top. She also wore her hair in two long ponytails and had knee-length boots. There was a rather long thin blade draped over her shoulder in her right hand and a tattered book in her left. This girl was Shizuka, an assassin meister who had just gotten out of class.

Shizuka noticed a boy in the courtyard. He didn't look like he was doing much more than enjoying the view. The only people that stood in the desert heat and stared at the school were new people. She had done the same herself not long after arriving. He seemed harmless enough, plus he wasn't being loud or obnoxious. She could be a bit late getting to the training grounds today. "Hey, your new aren't you?" She asked in a hushed voice, approaching the guy.

The boy was shocked out of his daze when he saw the girl. She stood a little shorter than him and looked quite petty. As soon as he thought this however, he immediately repressed it as he has been taught. As soon as he could think straight again he said, "Yeah how long have you been here?"

The boy looked a bit shocked to see her, which didn't seem that odd to her. "Not long," She responded, still wearing a light smile, but retaining her soft voice. "I actually just walked over." She added, her crystal blue eyes examining him to see if she could tell how old he was. Obiously between 15-17.

Arthas stood and examined the girl, she looked to be about his age. He was still suprised at the girl willingly talking to him. Normally he prefers to stay to himself and the others stayed away, but this girl was willingly talking to him. He put on a small smile and said, "Cool, so.... what's your name?"

"Shizuka Adatchi, meister here at the DWMA." Shizu said, deciding she should return the question. It would be rude to address him as guy or dude forever. "What about you?" She questioned him, curious to see if she'd found a new sparing partner.

"Arthas Doomblade, new weapon here at the DWMA, according to others though Frostboy." He replied. He wondered why he brought up his lame nickname. He actually felt like going a step further and asked, "Do you have a partner?"

Shizuka had to think a bit. She hadn't found a weapon that suited her since her first weapon vanished. "The closest thing to a weapon partner I have is this." She responded, twirling the blade to face behind her wrist. She then held her arm forward so that the tip faced the ground. Over all it was a very basic black blade.

"Oh well, I don't have one either. Wanna see my weapon form?" He replied, as he wondered if he had just found a partner. He would have prefered it not be warm blooded girl but he could make do.

Shizuka set her own sword on the ground. "Sure. It's not often that I'm the first to greet a new student." She replied, opening her hand in front of her. "Whenever your ready." She said, bracing herself for anything from a knife to a bazooka.

"Here we go" he said. A cold rush of wind blowed around him as he transformed into his enchanted runebalde form. the hide covered hilt entered her hand as a cold ice gauntlet gripped tightly around her hand holding the blade, "Like it?" he asked

Shizuka felt a cold rush through her hand as the gauntlet formed. She quickly adapted, examining the blade. "Nice blade. With an attribute too. Not something you see every day." She noted to herself quietly. "Hey, how would you like to partner with me? You'd be much more effective than what I have now." She asked, after a bit of thinking.

"well why dont you do your wavelength thingy you meisters do, ind out if were compatible?" he said as the thoughts of a new partner flowed through his mind which in turned coldened the blade and the runes glowed.

Shizuka laughed a bit. "Ressonance? If we couldn't ressonate I'd have problems holding you right now. To do an advanced ressonance we'd need more practice and space." She explained, twirling the blade around the air a bit. "So the real question isn't are we compatable, it's more like do we want to team up."

Shizuka smiled. "No problem, we can take a walk to the training grounds or something. I'm sure somebody will spar with us." She replied, looking at the blade again. "Hey, what are the runes for? Is that the source of the ice?" She asked him, taking a closer look.

Shizuka grabbed the sword on the ground in her book hand. She then turned and began to head for the training grounds. "Let's go then. If that's ok with you." She said, holding him loosely in case he wanted to walk by himself.

"alright" he said as he conjured some ice to cover the blade.
