James' Recovery (To Be Continued)

Anna walked over to James' bed. "Uff..Well, James! You're in the infirimary. To be honest, I was afraid that your wounds are too serious and you wouldn't be able to wake up!" She said.

James looked at Anna. "W-what happemed...?

Anna looked at James surprised. "What...You don't remember? You've been attacked by a witch!" The girl exclaimed, not hiding emotions in her voice.

James closed his eyes. "Stop yelling, I do remember that now and also Sylas throwing me out the Death Room claiming I was lying.... And how i also got expelled..."

Anna crossed her arms. "That's how you react when people are worrying 'bout you..cool" The girl muttered. "Okay..Do you know her?" Anna asked.

James opened his eyes and looked at Anna confused. "Who the witch? No..."

James coughed and held his side. "Yes... It's because of her, I was expelled..."

"Well..We need to find that..witch..Then" Anna said.

Suddenly the witch sisters walked into the infirimary.
"The witch you say?" Angela asked.
Aurora crossed her arms. An evil witch in the academy...Interesting She thought.

James looked at them from the bed. "I don't really care about the witch... all I care about is making sure that I'm not expelled... Is there anyway one of you guys could fetch Sylas? "James said in pain

ooc: Need more posts before Death comes in as there is no way to add him at this time.

An aide led Sylas in. He made his way over to James's bed, eyebrows raised expectantly. "You asked for me?"

He looked at Sylas and spoke. "Yes two things. I would like to apologize for what I said to you earlier in the Death Room and I just wanted to know if I am still expelled? I was telling the truth afterall..." He said with alot of pain in his voice. He could feel the tubes running inside of his chest pumping the liquids his body needed. It felt wierd and unnatural. "It wasn't my place to call you out like that... I'm sorry. It was just the heat of the moment, I don't want to be expelled from the DWMA. I know that I don't really have any friends, but I like the feeling of getting rid of the evil within this world. To make it a safer place..." He said with a dreadful tone. He laid his head back on the pillow still looking up at Sylas.

Sylas studied James for a few moments, then gave a brief shake of his head. "James, you tried to break a prisoner out of the dungeon. Whatever information you've given, however you've helped... It doesn't excuse what you tried to do. Lord Death's decision is final. You're still expelled. However, if you're willing, you can reapply next year." He said this with a near monotone, and his countenance was as a brick wall, emotionless.

He looked at Sylas thinking that somewhere in that cold shell of a body there was a heart that could understand what he was going through. He just opened his eyes, blood still on his face from before. "You don't understand what I've been through... what I've had to do to get where I am today... I've lost friends... loved ones... all in the pursuit of this schoo.. as he said that he coughed with some blood arising from his mouth. "It's funny how you would invite vinnie with open arms into your teaching, when he has killed many people. Some from Death City. But whenever a student is forced against his will to break out some guy from a dungeon... you just set him adrift. You see if i don't get back into this school, I wont be coming back. That witch is out there, she will find me and kill me... If that does happen... I can just thank you."

Sylas rubbed his eyes, clearly growing annoyed. "I'm done feeling pity. You talk about sacrifices, and loved ones lost? You think I don't know pain? You're an idiot. And from the looks of it, you're not going to be going anywhere for a long while. Your wounds are going to need a long while to heal, and I've no doubt you're going to be spending the duration of your recovery here. When you're strong enough to move, and walk, then you can appeal to Lord Death yourself. As it stands, his decision stands." He turns, making it halfway to the door before stopping. "To get where I am today, I've had to endure more hells than you've ever conceived. Pity is not something that comes easily to me. Don't try to play that card again." With that he's gone, out the door.

James just lays back in the bed and looks to the side and sees a mirror. He remembered that whenever a student needed to speak with Death all they had to do was to right 42-42-564 on any fogged glass or mirror. So he picked it up, he wrote and said. "42-42-564 whenever you want to knock on Death's door." It rang, rang, rang, rang, and just rang. " Come on! Answer!" For the first time in who knows how long, tears began to roll down his face. He threw the mirror down in frustration on the bed and laid back. "It's all over..."

Sares was just was walking though Death City walking past some of the dorms. She had just come back from visiting her step parents. Both of them got sick and needed her to come back to help bout, Sares was glad to help, but she was also glad to get back to Death City, she couldn’t wait to see James and maybe even be able to practice. She was wearing her usual white woolen long sleeve shirt and blue jeans.  She was nearly to the dorm when she overheard a bit of a conversation two people were having.  
Girl: “Hey did you hear about that guy who was injured? Something Kozak?” Sares would of kept walking but she remembered the last name, she didn’t know where from because she hasn’t heard James last name that much. She stopped walking and listened in on the rest of their conversation curious now.
Guy: “No, what happened?”
Girl: “Apparently he is getting expelled because he helped a witch brake out someone from the dungeons. He was then attacked by the witch and had to go to the infirmary.”
Guy: “Seams rough… Wait you… I think his full name was James Kozak right?” Sares toke a sharp breath hoping it wasn’t James and staying to hear the girls response. She put her bag on her right shoulder though nervous it was.
Girl: “Ehhh… Yea I think it was…” They kept talking after that but Sares ran off not listening anymore she thought to her. “One week off… which was one week too much I guess!” She made her way to the school not knowing where the infirmary was exact but knowing where it vaguely was.

"It isn't.." Said Anna as she appeared like out of nowhere next to James. "Hope dies last. And hope dies when your friends don't want to hel-" She said but she couldn't finish because she bit her tongue by an accident. When it happened she blushed slightly. After a while she cleared her throat. "When your friends don't want to help. And because your friends want to help, you still have hope, so it isn't all over." She finished.
Anna thought that her words will help James somehow...Well she was only 12,right?

Still in a lot of pain James coughed up some excess blood then layed back and looked at Anna. "Thanks Anna... but at this point not even Death wouldn't come to reason... I'm just an empty shell, a lost cause. A black mark on the records of the DWMA. But thank you for helping me it means a lot. He stared out the window , looking at the sunrise. He was surprise at how time flys when your a complete idiot. He laughed. He felt a sudden burst of pain from his chest he coughed up more blood and closed his eyes.

Sares had to walk around the school for about 5min before someone showed her the way to James room. She was worried sick now and held her bag in both hands in front of her. She herd coughing from the room the nurse said James was in and toke on big gulp. She slowly raised her hand and brought her self to knock on the door three times. After a few second pause she said "It's Sares. May I come in?" She didn't want to be rude so she asked.

Anna put her hand on James' chest. "Everything'll be fine I say" The 12-year-old ninja said. But then someone knocked on the door. So Anna looked at James and crossed her arms. "You have another guest.." She commented quietly.

He could barely open his eyes. He felt so weak... so useless. He tried to motion to anna to let the other person in. He just layed there in pain. He wishes that he could just go back before all of this. His face still covered in blood from before, stuck to his face. Like a permanent mark on his life. the time where he almost died and lost everything that he had been working for.

"Please come in" Anna said to the person behind the door. She looked at James with worried look in her eyes. Anna knew that she has to do something to help him.

Sares hung the bag over her left shoulder and then turned the door nob opening it just enough to get in. She shut the down behind her and then toke a look at James. She gasped nearly jumping back but then walked closer to James saying "James you ok?!" She talked loudly with a lot of concern in her voice.
