Mixed Company (Zero & Lani; read first post)

Date: Irrelevant, but about a week or two before abduction.
Time: 1:45am BST

They wouldn't let him in; they never did. Of course, he didn't really expect otherwise. Though he was thirteen, still not of legal drinking age regardless, his neglected upbringing and malnutrition made him appear no more than ten. He had no interest in the liquor regardless; his meal ticket lay in the patrons themselves. Riel had been tailing a couple of them for several weeks, now; the screams, the bloody knuckles, the spouses and other so-called "loved ones" that no longer left the house, they were all classic signs of the abuse that he fought so hard against. He would always take out the abuser first; the victims would come later, should their suffering continue.

None of his work, he thought, was truly bad; of course, the mixed company of his delicacies still marked him as evil; he consumed both kishin eggs and innocents alike. The world could call him what they wished, but he had his own ways of setting things right, and many of his victims begged for the release that he offered.

He had been waiting for several hours, at this point, and finally, one of his targets was leaving. Wobbly, stepping out of the front of the bar and heading down through the alley to where he parked his car on the opposite street. Keller's grin was wide as he watched him, staring from his perch on one of the fire escapes. This was to be a 'clean' kill; no ugly, messy, sloppy, loud fighting. He would transform and strike, landing on the man's head and piercing straight through the skull. It was an easy, simple task; he just needed to time it properly.

And so he crouched, and he waited, watching as the man drew closer and closer...

"I wish you would come back home." A tone of worry and regret surrounded the woman's weak voice. While, they were communicating through the phone the sorcerer could feel her pain, but he had to stay strong for her. "I understand mother, but, while i do miss you and Syn(his younger brother) I cannot do such a thing. " Akiyo said regretfully as his gripped the telephone. "Please do not trouble yourself with my absence. I promise to return home again, so please take care of your health. I must go now mother...I will contact you again as soon as possible and please tell Syn that his big brother misses him. ", Akiyo stated before ending the conversation off with a happy tone. He wished that his mother would remove the burden she had placed on herself. With a final good-bye and good night, the sorcerer places the phone back onto the small machine. Akiyo exists the telephone booth with a cane in his right hand and two books in his other hand.

Akiyo heads down the side walk, following his usual route home. While, he was blind the sounds from his surrounding provided him with a vague sketch of the landscape around him. As his cane swayed left and right across the cement floor he passes the local bar. The smell of alcohol made the sorcerer a bit dizzy, which caused him to stop for a moment. "What a unsettling smell..." He muttered as he covered his nose and mouth. Just as he said this, he could sense one of the costumers exit the bar and head towards what Akiyo believed was an alley way.

The instant the man was within range, Gabriel jumped down, transforming fully and slamming his autonomous weapon form through the man's scalp. He swayed for a moment, eyes wide from the shock, before collapsing completely. The young weapon shifted back mostly, yanking his blade arm from the man seconds before the body vanished, the lightly red-tinged soul appearing in it's place. He smirked, opening his mouth as wide as his old stitches aloud, and swallowed it down. He gagged as it touched its tongue, the foul taste of evil making him sick to his stomach. Only vaguely did he notice the sorcerer nearby, and he let himself assume that it was another costumer, completely oblivious to the scene.

After catching his wind, Akiyo was about to leave when suddenly he felt the human soul vanish. A phenomenon like that wasn't normal and it was certainly not a good sign. He heads towards the alley way and taps his cane along the walls of the buildings and the ground, trying to create a light image of his surroundings. Even though, the sorcerer had no affiliation to the human he didn't want unnecessary violence to erupt from this situation. Akiyo stops his tracks when sensing someone in the distance. "Excuse me? Did you happen to see a man walk down this alley way?", Akiyo questioned calmly, having some suspicion's that the stranger in front of him could of caused this disappearance. The sorcerer began to sense some corruption in the other's soul.

Riel tilted his head, smirking as he watched the man. The second he was spoken to, he stood up, his cheshire grin wide and disarming. "See him? Ah, yes, that I did. Foul bastard, that one." He spat the curse as though it were something repugnant clinging to his tongue. "What does it matter to you, though, hmmmm? Come to be a matyr?" His head tilted as he spoke, his body seeming to flow to the side as he stepped around the man, circling him, sizing him up.

ooc: Okay, sorry about that.

Akiyo slowly pulled back his walking cane, trying his best not to arouse suspicion. A cold chill rand down the sorcerer's back when he heard the other's response; it was full of hate and disgust. However, Akiyo kept a calm exterior appearance since any evidence of fear would lead him to his downfall. With a low sigh the sorcerer rationalized his thoughts and began to focus on the strangers movements. His movements, voice, and breathing were all providing Akiyo with a vague image of the other's figure. "I have no connections to that man. I just happened to be passing by when i sensed his soul vanish and your's appear. " He stated as he carefully listened to Riel's movements. "I can easily make an assumption that you were the one you killed him and if so why? Every action has a purpose and I hardly doubt someone like yourself would murder without reason." Akiyo added calmly as he swayed his head slightly, following Riel's path. If worse came to worse the sorcerer would just have to cast several spells.

Riel smirked, continuing to circle him. "You're a smart man. I don't see many of those in my line of..... work, I suppose." He chuckled, the sound dark and eerie, almost haunting. "He was an abuser, like many of my targets." The dark weapon gestured towards the body, or lack there of. "He was going to go home and beat his wife and daughter again. The son already ran away." His eyes scanned the man over, noting the cane, the man's possessions and attire.

"Thank you for the compliment. I always try to keep an open mind." He responded before giving the other a weak smile. However, Akiyo began to feel his feather's stand and it was getting harder for him to conceal his lingering fear. "Hmm? Based on your story you sound like an avenging hero. However, is death really the best form of judgement; taking a life to save another?" Akiyo questioned as he tried to hide the light stutter in his voice. The sorcerer heard the weapon's arm move, however it took him a moment to comprehend what the other was pointing at. "Violence only promotes more violence. I assume that you know this fact already? Your motives are just, but your actions are not. "Akiyo added before taking a small step back. "

Gabriel grinned, walking close, replacing the nail of his index finger with the tip of his blade. He trailed the flat of it down the man's face, looking at him curiously. "And what does that matter to you? I see no sin in your eyes; no abuse from or against you..." His head tilted. "How could my actions be relevant, of any concern, to you...?"

Akiyo flinched when he felt a cold sharp object trail across his face. He assumed that it was the stranger's dagger. "You're mistaken... You state that you can't see any suffering in my eyes, but your senses are lying to you. I had lost my eyes years ago and ever since I've been only living in a world of pitch darkness. You have no right to decide who lives or who die, if you can't even perceive something as simple as that. " Akiyo stated firmly before quickly grabbing Riel's wrist. However, the sorcerer sensed that something was wrong. It only took him a split moment to realize and he reacted by retreating backwards. He held his cane up to distance himself from Riel. "This has become quite troublesome....Your a weapon." Akiyo stated obviously since he didn't see Riel transform his finger. The sorcerer began to mutter a spell under his breath.

"I did not say that you had not suffered," he said, smirking as the man stepped back. "From what I can see, you have not been abused, which is not the same thing." He chuckled, returned his nail to human form as he looked at the man. "And yes... I am a weapon. I am the Vorpal Riel." He mocked a bow, "Gabriel Keller, Vorpal Blade."

"Gabriel Keller. Gabriel Keller. Your name has a pleasant ring to it." Akiyo said before smiling. He lowered his cane and tapped it on the gravel. "I suppose it is customary that I introduce myself. My name is Akiyo Muto, the local store delivery boy." Akiyo stated openly, disregarding the potential danger at the moment. The sorcerer let out a soft yawn which he quickly covered with his hand. "Oh dear. My apologies... Hmm, I did not realize that it was this late in the night.....Gabriel, if i may ask, do you have a meister? I red that most weapons are partnered with another person. " He questioned curiously. The other's response would determine which courses of actions Akiyo would take.

Gabriel merely raised a brow, having never been asked such a thing before. "As in a wielder? No. I haven't really had a need." He gestured back to where the man had been --- before he was killed --- before wincing, having forgotten that Akiyo was blind. "I can turn into my weapon form and move on my own while in it. Why do you ask?"

Akiyo nodded his head before closing his eyes to think. "I cannot let you leave, since i know that you are going to continue killing. So, I present you with two choices. I can either report you to the authorities or if you are willing to listen, I can help you find a better form of justice; one that doesn't require killing. ", Akiyo offered with a soft smile. He lowered his cane and taped it around the gravel. The sorcerer began wobble slightly as sleep loomed over his mind.

Gabriel tilted his head questioningly, halting directly in front of the man. "And why would you offer any form of help to me?"

"Why not? I see no harm in giving you a chance...Besides I truly believe you are a good man inside, but unfavorable circumstances have strayed you onto the wrong path. ", Akiyo explained before giving Gabriel another smile. "The choice is up to you. I will not force you to join me...." The sorcerer lets out a soft yawn before turning his back towards Gabriel. Akiyo sighed as he realized that he had no idea what the time was. This delay would force him to make several adjustments to his schedule. "Shall we get going?....Oh...By the way...I'm not that easy to kill." Akiyo stated calmly just in case the other had ideas of attacking. He began to head out the alley way and hoped that Gabriel would follow.

OOC: I am sorry once again. My computer had died on me and it just got fixed yesterday.

The young teen merely sighed and nodded, walking along behind him. His eyes scanned the area around him, his nail still replaced with the tip of his blade. "Where are we heading?" His tone seemed slightly bitter, but there was still something mysterious about it, almost echoing.

ooc: What character and how do you explain him/her being here? It's about 2ish am in England in this RP

ooc: Vinnie has been wondering all around the major citys of Europe, you know takeing in the sights being a tourist, and looking for absolutly any chance at all to pounce on somone he perceives as evil and kill them. ALso with his nose he could have smelled the blood a few blocks away.

ooc: Focus on your grammar and spelling and I'll allow it. Could make for an interesting plot, especially with the whole "Mixed Company" partnership we're working on

Vinnie Stelletto walked into the ally clapping slowly. He had been listening in on their conversation somewhat. " I am very sorry, but you are going nowhere with that dark weapon, he's a killer. This isn't his first time and it won't be his last. Now I'll give you a few choices, you could go to the academy, with my men supervising you on the trip of course. Where you would speek to Lord Death and own up for your crimes. I strongly, strongly doubt he would kill you. We could both sit here while I call the police and wait for them to pick you up. I cannot vouch for what will happen then. Or you could resist, and die. As for you sorcerer you have yet to commit any serious crimes to my knowledge and you are free to go. " He gave him a glare that he was sure the blind man could not see. " But if you help him resist I also cannnot vouch for your safety. Granted I will try to take both of you alive, but do not force my hand. I am only two souls away before breaking one hundred. " He smiled a preditory smile.

"We are headed to my apartment. At this time of the hour I doubt that any of the stores or buildings are open, so this is the next best thing." Akiyo explained, but his voice trailed off when he heard the vibrations of someone heading this way. He stopped in his tracks when the stranger presented himself. Akiyo stood in silence through the man's entire speech and by the end he was left with a unsettling feeling. He already knew that Gabriel wasn't innocent, but could he really trust this stranger? "I do not appreciate to you listening to our private conversation, but everything you said seems reasonable....But,...I find it difficult to fully trust your words and I am deeply sorry for this..." Akiyo calmly before taking several small steps back towards Gabriel. He knew he was going to regret doing this. Once Akiyo finished talking, the Sorcerer quickly turned around and grabbed the weapon by the wrist and began to run the opposite direction. "This may not be the best course of action, but I assume it is still better then nothing. Owl Owlet Shiro fukurō Slience Creep...." Akiyo chanted softly. His presence and Gabriel presence slowly began to vanish into nothing. The sorcerer knew that he couldn't keep this spell up for too long, so he had to think of another plan.

OOC: That's not good. I hope everything is fine now. Hello Jac!

Deciding it would probably be far easier for him to escape if he did so, Riel quickly shifted fully so that his handle was now all that Akiyo held. "You'll need a sheath at some point." He said, the words passed along to him telepathically. "And hasn't anyone ever told you not to run with knives?" There was a sort of smirk evident in his words; he didn't bother showing his face in the blade.

Using his heightened sense of hearing and smell he was able to follow them relatively easily. He stood up on four monstrous snakes and easily outpaced the blind sorcerer. Then he jumped and landed on his feet infront of them and sent out his four heads in four different direction infront of him. Each had fangs filled with nurotoxin like that of a cobra. Two went high to keep him from jumping and two went low to get him where he was right now. In an alleyway without much room to manoover this wound be very difficult to dodge.
