DWMA Dating Raffle: Table 3 (Orange; 907618)

Melody & Jet's table (Appetizer Round)

Melody perked upright when the lady started to talk. She listened to the rules, and started to grin at the thought of meeting someone else here at the academy. She practically skipped over to the orange table where her card matched the number, and promptly sat down.

She offered a polite nod before making her way first to the blue table, letting him know that they had not received word from his partner and he was to join the orange table if she did not arrive by the end of the round, and then to the orange table to notify Melody of this.

Melody Looked around for whoever was supposed to be at her table. The lady running the event had said they might not arrive, and it seemed to be true. She sighed and got up heading over to the table she had indicated, sitting across from the boy with the mask over his face. "Hello there. M'names Melody. How are you?" Her face still in a smile, head cocked ever so slightly to the side.

Rogue offered a nervous smile in response, tentatively reaching his hand out, speaking through the mask. "Rogue... -er- Jarek."

Melody took his offered hand in hers before sitting down at the table. "Jerek? That's interesting." Her eye's had a glint to them, and her smile remained unwavering. "Nice t'meet you. I personally arrived not too long ago, and still need to meet people. But that's fine. What is with the mask. Hmm?" She started to play with necklace almost without thought.

Jet straightness the tie he was wearing and thought 'Well a few minutes late. No bad but not the best.' He walks over to the orange table and sits down.

Rogue took the cue without needing to be told, smiling to the girl across from him and nodding his head in a light bow. "Looks like I'll be living you, now, Melody. My apologies." Without another word, he gathered his things and returned to the blue table.

Jet yawns, pulls out a knife and starts the knife game.

Jet looks at Melody "Hello there I am Jet Tucker. Nice to meet you."

Melody looked at the newcomer and at the blade he had drawn, and how he never struck himself. "Melody...... You're not worried about the knife?" Her hands instinctively went to her forearms, though her needles were located elsewhere.

Jet shakes his and puts the knife in his pocket "Sorry if that scared you I can get distracted really easily."

Melody tilted her head to the side, then shook her head no. "Not really, I just never saw anyone do something like that." A slight giggle escaped from her before she continued. "The boys in my village never did things like that. Or at least, didn't get caught."

Jet smiles and says "Cool. What do you mean by village?" He asks get curious

Melody looked at him funny, eyebrow raised at the question. "My home. In Iceland" Her voice made it seem like that should be obvious, her accent getting thicker. She giggled again, losing some of her tension. "So where are you from? I can't really tell from your accent."

"I was born here in the states but I have been places from" his voice getting thick with each accent "Ireland to Russia, Brazil to the UK. But the main reason why I traveled was to stay out of sight from someone who thought I was dead." Jet finishes

Melody was entranced by the variety of places Jet had been to. So many places when compared to what she had seen. So much wandering was in her thoughts that she almost missed the end of is sentence. "WOW!! I have only ever been to my village, and a few ports and Cities on the way here! It must have been amazing to...... wait..... Dead?" Her voice was full of excitement that seemed to grow, before she shifted to the morbid curiosity caused by his last words.

Jet nods "Yep and want to know the twisted thing? It was my own brother."

Melody let out a gasp, the color draining from her face. "Y-your b-brother?" Her voice grew small and timid, makng her seem even younger. Her left hand grabbed at her necklace as she started a silent prayer. "B-but hes family....".

Jet nods his head "I thought that too but that all ended after something he did." Jet says

Melody's mind raced to fill in the gap left by his comment, ranging from the trivial sibling rivalries to outright murder. Eventually she settled on what she thought would be a reasonable cause. "He didn't.... run of with your fiancée, did he?"

"No he didn't do you really want?" Jet asks inquingly

Ooc: What? that doesn't make sense

OOC: I meant "no he didn't do that. Do you really want to what he did?"

Ic: Melody paused, wondering if she really did want to know. She had just met him, and were already talking about his past. That was usually personal right? but she was curious to know what had happened to this young man. "I guess. If you want to tell."

Jet shrugs "Alright. He killed our parents."

Melody was at a loss of words. She had thought of that possibility, among all the others, but didn't believe it would have actually been correct. "Andskotans" She muttered the curse under her breath, unable to think of anything else appropriate to say.

Jet nods "Even to this day I still can't believe. So what's your story Melody?"

"Me?" Melody started to look slightly up, as she thought about how to actually say it. "Well, as I mentioned, I am from Iceland. I had lived with my mother, father, and sisters. I was learning how to be a witch from my mother, so that I could take over from her." She paused, again trying to organize her thoughts. "Less than a year ago, something came and started to prey on the people. I was able to see it because of my Cursed Sight, and tried to help, but the elders wouldn't let me. My Father had vanished on one of the hunts, I saw his life be consumed. Eventually someone from here, the DWMA, had shown up and destroyed the beast, and I followed her back to try and learn." She started to nod her head ever so slightly. "I think that's it...."

"Ahh cool so are you a Meistersinger or weapon?" Jet says

"Meister" Melody replied, finding the question to be kinda pointless, why would she be a weapon. She was about to ask him what weapon he had when the waitress came up and asked for their order. Having completely ignored the menu, Melody gave it a quick look before getting the shrimp cocktail appetizer.

Jet looks at the menu then says "I am good." He looks at Melody "So your a meister cool."

The waitress left with their order, saying it would be a few minutes. Melody looked back at Jet, and realized she hadn't learned anything about him, except for his brother. "Y'know, you never really talked about yourself. What are some things you like to do? I like to read." The glow to her eyes having returned with the thought of food.
