Jet thinks then says "I like playing guitar. So what is your favorite type of music?"

Melody sat there in thought, having never really considered exactly what type of music she liked. "Well" She started to speaking, though slowly, as if she was still thinking. "I do like the music that was at our harvest festivals and such. So I guess that would be traditional?"

Jet nods "I would consider it traditional personally I prefer anything with guitar wether it is rock, country, or traditional. Alright your turn to ask a question."

Melody sat for a brief moment, absentmindedly chewing on a piece of her hair. "Well, How old are you exactly. Don't think it was ever mentioned." She was starting to get hungry, and was glad to see that the food was starting to be brought out. "I'm almost sixteen." Melody added that last bit, essentially to herself as an afterthought.

Jet nods then says "I am sixteen on the dot thing. Alright so what do you like about the city." Jet asks then he starts drumming a little beat lightly on the table

"I Don't really know. I haven't been here long enough to learn anything" Melody slipped into a slight giggle at this. "I have gone exploring though. It's a very large City."

Jet nods and smiles "Well then remind me to show you all the best sites of the city all right?" Jet keeps tapping that small little beat on the table.

the waitress came over to the table, bringing the ordered appetizers. Melody practically lit up at the sight of the food, and almost forgot to respond to Jet. "That would be very nice of you. I may have to take you up on that offer." She started to eat her shrimp, and looked back up at Jet. "want any?"

Jet shakes his head and says "No I am good." Then he says "Well what are some of your favorite hobbies?" Jet says tapping out that simple beat

Melody giggled, finding the repetition of the question to be funny. "As I already said, I like to read. I also love to garden, which is good because I make herbal medicine. I also like to run, and, OH, metal working was interesting, though I really never did it."

Jet nods and says "Metal working? Well want to see something that has to do with metal?" Jet pulls back his right sleeve revealing his arm. He moves a finger making the gears move as well.

"Eh!" Melody stopped mid-bite on a shrimp, the piece just falling from her hands to her lap. She had heard of prosthetic limbs before, her mother mentioning doctors skilled enough to replace life with machine, but this was the first time she had ever seen one. It also explained why he didn't care about playing the knife game. He cant bleed at all. "I... wow...." She wanted to curse, but he seemed proud of the limb for some reason. "It is really interesting."

Jet shrugs and said "Yeah it takes time getting used to." He rolls his sleeve back down. "Trust me it isn't so hard after a while."

Melody was still staring at Jets arm, still not entirely sure what to make of it. He definitely seemed comfortable with the arm. She hadn't even noticed that it wasn't real. She decided to distracted herself, and started to eat the shrimp again, not knowing how to continue to conversation.

Jet asks "Is it freaking you out? Well if it is I am sorry for showing it to you." Jet looks down but stills plays out that beat

Melody shook her head no, causing some of her hair to fall in front of her face. "I've seen worse..... it's just.... it still is hard to imagine, and I just can't help but feel sympathy."

Jet nods. "We'll want to change the subject to something not so weird?" He says still beating out that tune

Melody nodded her head, though she realized that it would always be on the back of her mind. "Maybe... Uhmm.... Favorite color?"

Jet thinks then says "I like red how about you?" He grins and starts thinking about what his favorite hobby was thieving

Melody sat there and and ate more of her shrimp before responding. "Mines purple." As she nibbled on the last shrimp she corrects herself. "Well, more of a lilac I guess."

Jet grins and says "I think Lilac suits you." He starts imagining Melody with a little lilac flower in her hair.

Melody blushed, adding red to her already colorful outfit. "thank you, Jet." her feet started to shift underneath the table.

Melody continued to sit there blushing for a bit, before excusing herself and heading to the ladies room. She passed her roommate Aurora at the door, who was just beaming, and headed in herself. As she washed her hands, she thought about how the date was going. She hadn't really dated before, that's the problem with knowing all the possible boys since they were kids, but she thought it was going pretty well, all things considered. She walked back to the table, still in thought, the airy aura to her very obvious.
