Quoth The Raven, "Nevermore"?!

Sylas braces himself against the wall. "You...You look like you were about to go somewhere..."

"I uh... I thought I saw the lady from my dream outside. She's probably gone now." She seemed embarrassed, "I know, it's silly of me to think that it was the same woman. Even if it was, it was just a dream."

Sylas shakes his head, standing. "Her name is Asuka...Would you like to meet her?" Mad Sylas leans against the wall, standing right beside her. "Yes, love. Want to meet her?"

"S-She's real...?" Beyril seemed dumbfounded, "And you know her?"

Sylas nods. "S-She's our team leader..." Mad Sylas drapes an arm around her. "She's a real killjoy, if you know what I mean..."

"So she's helping find the kishin? To kill it? What's she like?" Beyril seemed totally disinterested in what Mad Sylas said.

Sylas smiles lightly. "She's...different. Detached, like she doesn't want people to be close. But she's strong."

"Did you know anyone else in my dreams?" She asked, excited that they seemed to make sense to someone.

Sylas nods. "I think I do, but I'm not sure..." Mad Sylas laughs. "He doesn't know what to think of you..." Sylas pretends not to hear.

"Who do you think they are?" She asked enthusiastically.

He sighs, sitting back down. "I think the siblings are Aiko and Sozen, two Death Scythes with us, and the little girl is Asuka's daughter Lenore. The monster...The monster is Saca..."

"The kishin..." She said softly.

Sylas nods, rubbing his temples. "And he's trying to raise Asura, the first Kishin..."

Beyril nodded, "It's... Just a dream, though. That doesn't mean that it's going to happen, right?"

Sylas looks up at her, and he suddenly seems far older than he is. "I hope not, I really do. I want to stay me...but it could happen, Beyril...."

Beyril nodded, "Do you know where he's hiding out?"

Sylas shakes his head. "No, we don't...I wish we did. Wish we could end this..."

Beyril nodded, silent.

Mad Sylas whispers in her ear. "He's afraid, and tired. You really think he can defend you? You need to learn to defend yourself, and to do that, you need to let go..."

As much as Beyril hated to admit it, he was right.

Mad Sylas starts to knead her back again. "Just relax. It's easy once you get the hang of it..."

"So your friend, Asuka, right?" Beyril asked, "How long has she been after him?"

Sylas continues to rub his temples. "Since he first became active..."

She nodded, noticing him rubbing his temples, "I'm sorry, I should give you a break."

Sylas shakes his head, standing, though he stumbles slightly. "I'm fine, really." He manages a small smiles. Mad Sylas kneads her back deeper. "He's lying, badly..."
