Name: Atticus CasusGender/Sex: Male
Age: 17 (January 4th, 1999)
Weapon:
Raicheal BrennanLove Interest: None
Orientation (Sexual/Romantic): AsexualAppearance: Atticus possesses an impressive muscular build and stands at 6 feet tall. His body is adorned with 5 scars on his left wrist and 3 on his right. He also has a larger scar that lays across his back in a diagonal line. He currently also possesses bruises in various places of his body but they should fade away over time. He does have a healthy white skin tone though. Atticus also kept his green hair short when he was in military school but he's recently let it grow out to be very shaggy and messy. Finally, Atticus has an odd shade of yellow for his eyes.
Atticus' usual attire is his uniform from military school. It is a green coat with shiny golden like buttons, matching green pants with various pockets, and black combat boots. He usually keeps the coat's buttons undone and wears a black under-shirt so he doesn't unnecessarily expose any skin. His attire may differ from time to time but he well always wear a necklace around his neck that holds two metal dog tags. Oddly though, the dog tags don't have his name engraved on it. They instead read the names, "T. Nimbus" & "K. Brookes".
Personality: Atticus is a very flawed individual and he isn't ashamed to admit it. Despite this though, he can easily be driven into blind fits of rage if someone crosses him. Atticus will try and keep his cool and stay calm but small triggers can set off extreme emotions. Atticus is not only capable of quickly switching into emotions, he will hold on to them for extended amounts of time.
This personality defect may allude to Atticus having Borderline Personality Disorder. A disorder that causes such emotions, an incredible fear for abandonment real or perceived, and highly impulsive behavior. Atticus seems to express these characteristics on a regular basis but it's never actually been confirmed that he does possess the disorder. Real or not it is because of this very reason that he tries to control his emotions better so he doesn't harm others.
Atticus doesn't get too close with others on a personal level. This is usually because relationships he gets mixed into end up pretty chaotic. When he does grow attached to someone, he will end up being very protective over them. This could lead to him invading their personal life and him wanting to know where they are at all times. This leads back to issues of abandonment, causing him to call off any relationships early on so he doesn't drag anyone else into his own messed up life. This doesn't exactly mean that he is rude or mean to anyone he just meets. In fact, he often tries to be very calm and polite with others. He just tries not to take it further into friendship.
History: Atticus was born in a small town within the state of Alabama. By tracing back the roots of Atticus' family tree, it could be said that he was destined for misfortune. His earliest relatives were extremely bad people but they weren't exactly evil. They were considered disgraces, being unable to read, write and more compelled to spend most money on booze rather than necessities. They were barely capable of supporting their children by hunting game out of season.
The Casus' family name gained a bad reputation, every descendant carried on the families' usual behavior throughout the generations. Atticus' mother was only 14 when she got pregnant, she was unable to recall who the father was. This left his grandfather very grumpy, only seeing his grandson as an extra mouth to feed. Her mother was miraculously capable of delivering him without any birth defects or complications and as soon as Atticus was old enough, he was forced to earn his keep by working on his family's failing farm.
Atticus kept a close relationship with his mother but everyone else in his family seemed to stare at him with the oddest looks. They alienated him, making him feel as if there was something seriously wrong with him. He didn't mind too much and tried to keep to himself as much as he could. He would imagine himself doing amazing things, changing the path his ancestors had followed.
Eventually, he would wake up late one night to find his mother trying to hide him from some sort of monster that barged into their rundown home. It had already killed many of his family members and it was about to come after him. Atticus' mother hid him in a closet and lured the monster away but not before planting one last kiss on his forehead. Atticus had no understanding of what was going on but he knew that something terrible had happened. He cried all throughout the night before police officers finally found him in the morning.
Very little was explained to him but what he did know now, was that he would never see his family again. He was then sent to an orphanage with the hope that a family would one day adopt him. Until then, he was forced into solitude by the other children. They all knew about the Casus family and how much of a disgrace they were. Because of this, they too alienated him. All of them would give him odd looks, just like his family before them.
Because of this, he stayed to himself once again. Eventually though, people would begin to test him. They would get on his nerves, stealing food from him and outright bullying him. Both mentally and physically. It was only a matter of time before Atticus cracked and foughtl back. He would constantly get into fights with other kids, beating them till they were bruised and bloody. This drove him further away from others and the only option left for him would be Military School.
After enough fights and a bit of aging, Atticus was finally transferred into a military school. Once inside, he was dressed in uniform, had his hair shaved down to a buzz-cut, and then he was added to the ranks. He was lined up on the field with other members to soon be introduced to the Drill Sergeants.
There were only two sergeants in charge of Atticus' group. The first was a cold and cruel man. He would bark out orders and expect his recruits to follow them thoroughly with little room for error. He went by the name of Sergeant Leroche.
Then there was Sergeant Nimbus, the exact opposite of what one would expect in a Drill Sergeant. Sure he would be tough during the drills but when drilling was over, he would spend time with the recruits and befriend each and every one of them. Encouraging them through it all.
Obviously Atticus would take a much better liking to Nimbus than he would with Leroche. There was just something that made Leroche seem worse than he would lead others to believe. He would look at each of the recruits, similarly with the others that stared at Atticus in the past. Whenever Leroche would stare at Atticus though, he would seem much different. The hate was still in his eyes but there was something about them that just didn't seem right. It didn't help that Leroche would sometimes smirk right at Atticus after he chewed him out in front of all the other cadets.
Nimbus on the other hand, had kept a close relationship with him. Nimbus would eventually become a sort of brother for Atticus. Nimbus saw potential in Atticus as a true solider and so Nimbus would tell him stories about when he had been in the Army. Nimbus would also tell him about an important story about his Dog Tags.
Nimbus told him that every soldier possessed a dog tag so the bodies would be easily identifiable if the soldier were to die. Sometimes after reclaiming the bodies of their fallen comrades, soldiers would take their tags and put them on their own chain so they'll never forget them. Nimbus had lost someone like this, so he always wears a second dog tag on his chain.
The comrade Nimbus lost was more important than others he fought with though. They were good friends who fought side by side, going on missions together. This person's name was Kristine Brookes and she was hoping to one day be married to Nimbus.. She was however killed in action, Nimbus would never explain how she died to Atticus.
Atticus would constantly come to Nimbus to listen to his stories but Atticus couldn't stay by his side all the time. He was capable of socializing with the other students though and for the first time in his life, Atticus actually felt as if he was a semi-normal person. Once again, things were bound to change for the worst.
Days would past by with abnormal occurrences happening such as a mysterious man cloaked in the darkness of night, walking around the grounds of the school. This man would quickly disappear whenever anyone attempted to approach him. Shortly after his appearance, students began to drop like flies. They were usually torn to pieces, limbs missing, intestines sprawled out all over their bed and their souls taken. Obviously the work of a kishin egg amongst them. Due to these sudden occurrences, the military school called up the DWMA to send in a Meister and weapon pair to investigate.
The night before the DWMA students would arrive though, Atticus sat upon his bed still wide awake. He couldn't will himself into sleep, many people had already been taken from him and he knew that there was a high chance that he would be next. For a moment there was absolute silence, then the faint sound of footsteps could be heard right outside of Atticus' room. Atticus quickly braced himself, getting out of his bed to hide in a corner that would keep him out of sight momentarily when the door opened.
The sound of footsteps got louder and louder until finally coming to an immediate halt. That was when the creaking sound of the door opening filled Atticus' room. With quick haste, Atticus slammed the door against the intruder which knocked him down onto the floor. Atticus then took a look at the man and quickly realized that it was the mysterious man that wandered about at night. While grunting, the man stood up and turned to face Atticus with hunger filled red eyes, sharp irregular claws and teeth, and the face of Leroche.
Atticus was frozen right where he stood when the final realization became clear, Sergeant Leroche was a Kishin Egg all along.
"You... Stupid boy...", He told Atticus as crept towards him with his claw lifted up to lash at him.
"At least... Your soul will make a perfect feast.", Leroche spoke in a very raspy voice, ready to end Atticus' life in one final swipe.
That was when Nimbus burst into the room with a knife in hand, tackling Leroche onto Atticus' bed. Nimbus then began to stab his former partner in various places as yelled at Atticus to,
"RUN!" Atticus could do nothing but stay in the corner, petrified by fear. Leroche eventually fought back and quickly wrapped his clawed fingers around Nimbus's head, ripping his head off with relative ease as Atticus watched with tear filled eyes.
Nimbus's headless body then dropped the blood covered knife to the side of the bed. Leroche then proceeded to eat the soul of Nimbus and then began to the flesh off of his body. Now filled with blind rage, Atticus darted towards the knife and used it to stab Leroche right in his knee cap. Leroche let out yelps of pain before backhanding Atticus into the wall. Atticus was now laid out on the floor with his back up against the wall, his vision now blurry but still capable of making out Leroche's monstrous figure. Leroche then grabbed hold of Atticus' neck and slammed him up against the wall once again. Atticus then decided that he would take the abuse no longer, his rage built up once again and he threw a powerful punch at Leroche's chest knocking him back to the bed. Atticus was a bit surprised at his new found strength but he wasn't finished with Leroche quite yet. He then rushed right over to his target and threw two powerful punches straight to face. Little did Atticus know, his punches were enhanced by his wavelengths so they easily destroyed the brain inside. Leroche was now dead, his body fading away while his soul was left behind.
When the DWMA students finally arrived, they found the place was a bloody mess with Atticus sitting in a corner. He held Nimbus's knife in one hand and his dog tags in another. Atticus was then token in and interviewed by the DWMA about what happened. Atticus explained as best as he could and the school ended up believing him. The DWMA was also capable of discovering that Atticus had a really strong soul and told him that he would be targeted by other creatures like Leroche eventually in his life.
They then offered to enroll him into the school, stating that it would be safer if he lived here and that he would fit right in. Atticus agreed and found himself living in a dormitory here. He was currently very depressed and was taking therapy to get over his trauma.

Green.Soul RoomOnce inside of Atticus' Soul Room, visitors will find themselves inside of a giant rusty bird cage that seems to float in empty darkness. Lights are strung up on selected bars, keeping the inside of the cage lit with light. Inside of the cage, the visitor will find a table with white cloth and a tea set placed upon it. There are four chairs, two possess cartoonish penguins that awkwardly hold tea cups with their flippers, one is empty to allow a single visitor to sit down, and the final chair opposite to this empty chair is Atticus.
He usually encourages his visitor to take a seat and partake in the tea he set up for the table. Atticus will act like he usually does in the outside world but his strong emotions would have major effects on the penguins inside of the cage. The penguins will remain cheerful and cute when Atticus keeps a calm or happy demeanor.
When Atticus becomes sad though, the penguins will undergo a drastic transformation. They will turn into large shadowy creatures that appear almost like humanoid crows. As long as Atticus is sad, these creatures will remain in their seats and cast an odd intimidating gaze upon the visitor. It is only when Atticus becomes enraged that these creatures will attack and attempt to kill the visitor.
Abilities | Description |
Rage | Whenever Atticus becomes enraged, he can throw a multitude of punches that insert his wavelength into his opponent to damage them. This ability is instinctual so it doesn't need to be learned. |
Concentration | If Atticus remains calm he can cause multiple wavelengths in one of his hands to chase after each other to form a ball. (It will take three of Atticus' own posts to form this ball.) After he forms this ball however, he is capable of throwing it at a target. Once he clutches his fist, the ball of wavelengths will erupt to tear apart and slash at his opponent. Black Blood users are more immune to this attack however. |
Let Me In | After Resonating with a weapon, Atticus can easily transport his conciseness into their Soul Room and vice versa. |
Get Up, And Never Give Up | Atticus is capable of fighting for three days straight without sleep. To be put down for good, he either has to be killed or have an attack perform a skill that will leave him unconscious. |
Advanced Wavelength Control | Atticus has gained a greater Mastery of his own wavelength. He is now able to launch himself upward a few feet in the air with great wavelength infused jumps or he can tie himself down with his wavelength. With this ability, he can even cling to walls, walk, or even run on them. |
Atticus possesses a Strong Soul, making him a larger target for Kishen Eggs.
