Moment of truth

Kyllic waited outside the door, waiting for an answer. It was the moment of truth that would change his, their, world forever.

Rose sat on the toilet seat, waiting for the result. She clutched the test nervously, waiting. "Y-You can come in....if you want..."

Kyllic chuckled, walking into the bathroom, "We're going to be okay, I promise." He kissed her cheek.

Rose nodded, holding the test tightly in her hands and close to her chest. "I...Are you sure about that?"

"We can always try again." He pulled her onto his lap, "Baby." He whispered, nudging her hair with his nose.

She smiles, closing her eyes for a moment. When she opens them again, she looks down at the test, and her breath catches in her throat. "K-Kyllic....we're gonna be....we're gonna be parents...."

Kyllic holds her tight, his heart doing somersaults. He was so happy he was speechless. A child they could call their own.

Rose dropped the test in the garbage, leaning back against him. She was trying to speak, trying to find words, but nothing would come. So she just smiled and closed her eyes, leaning against him, listening to his heart.

"Your brother is going to kill me." Kyllic whispered.

She chuckled softly. "I'll keep you safe, don't worry. Death Scythe or not, I can still kick his ass..." She started tapping her foot to his heartbeat.

He hummed right along with her foot, a mixture of song that sounded good to their souls.

Rose sighs softly, turning and looking at him. "What do we do now?"

"Tell the family I guess," kyllic laughed, "I don't know how they'll react."

Rose smiles, snuggling close to him. "It'll be fine as long as we're together..."
