This Wondrous World Of Ours... (Ask to join)

Jax was sitting on the bench in the park, minding his own business, like usual. He always did like that park for, various reasons. People usually didn't come up to him and talk, everybody minded their own business, and for the most part, it was rather quiet and chill. Jax eventually picked up his book that has been by his side for the longest time, and started reading it. Recently, he has started to grow out of books, surprisingly. So, he has been trying his best to get back into it.

Flower petals gently drifted onto the dying grass. A peculiar creature sat with his knees held up to his chest as he plucked away at the withering plant. His hefty jacket laid in a crumpled heap beside him, revealing a torn white shirt underneath. The boy's unkempt hair laid in messy white strands on his shoulders. Grey eyes studied the flower with curiosity, but he would soon grow bored. He never could stay entertained for too long. Thanks to his 'sorcerer-friend', he could go undetected as a kishin egg, so long as he kept his hunger under surveillance. Slowly, the grass around him began to turn grey, but he had just started to notice. "Oh joy..." he murmured then rose from his seat.

Jax eventually put the book down and looked up into the sky, confused, really. He had no idea why he wasn't as into books as he used to be. Its weird, really. But he then sighed and closed his eyes, going to relax for a bit, while he could.

Blades of dead or dying grass fell from Attor's lap, sing with an array of decaying flower petals. He brushed his front off, then retrieved his jacket. He made his way towards the main path, but he soon grew distracted. Without a real goal in mind, he allowed himself to grow sidetracked. "Book..."
He muttered, his hazy eyes inspecting what Jax had been holding.

Jax heard a, light sound. Like leaves falling from above. Was it that time of year already? Jax had no idea. He was, just so out of whack recently. Dressing more casually, getting out of reading books, now not even knowing what time of year it was? It had to be a problem, right? Jax kept his head in the air, actually liking the sound a bit, until, he heard, someone talk. "Book...". Jax looked up, more alert than he thought he was going to be. "Um, hi?" he said, a bit, tilting his head. He had no idea who the person was, but, something did not feel right about him.

Attor kept his gaze transfixed on the book. Could he even read anymore? "What is it about?" He asked, slowly transferring his eyes over to Jax, who appeared to be a bit confused. The Kishin egg did consider himself s bit bizarre looking, but there were plenty of odd looking residents in Death City. Oh, maybe it was because he was a Kishin egg? That would make more sense. His hands slowly his away in his front pockets as he awaited for an answer. There were many things he was not, but he was patient at the very least.

Jax looked at the cover of the book. Then back at the boy. "It's, about a young boy who is very misunderstood. Becuase of that, he gets more and more depressed until eventually, he kills himself. This is how the few good people in his life cope afterwards." Jax simply explained. He then noticed how depressing that sounded, but shrugged. He was the one who wanted to know what the book was about. Not his fault it was a, rather depressing one.

Looking over at the pair and sensing something off about it, Astryd slowly awoke from her nap. She had been dozing lightly on the other side of the bench Jax was on. She had recently been unable to sleep well due to debilitating nightmares and she thought she would be better with some fresh air. As exhausted as she was, she had fallen asleep almost instantly, but was roused from her sleep by a presence. She now opened her eyes, curious. "Wha- who?" She yawned, sitting up.

"That sounds almost too human." Attor replied as if weighted down by the book's plot-line. Whether he'd admit it or not, Attor didn't know the first thing about humans and their interactions. Well, at least very little. The few things he learned were handed down from his accomplice, who tended to twist his view on humans without the kishin-egg's consent. Though he didn't really care if it was the truth, he respected the sorcerer too much to allow his faith in him to be so easily faltered. "Why cloud your mind with such a dark tale?" he asked, but soon his attention drifted over to the girl on the opposite end of the bench. The kishin's clouded eyes only stayed on her momentarily.
