A Guest (The Scythe's Return!) [Rage&I] [Private] [Rated T, I think?]

Honey was lounging casually on the couch of her Death City apartment. Her weapons had both gone missing. It seemed that finding a weapon would be harder this time around... Popping a chocolate into her mouth from the box on her lap, the small girl stretched out on the couch, glancing at the television. She didn't watch it often, but there wasn't much to do tonight, so she had stayed home. She was wearing a white sleeveless nightgown of rather fancy design, hanging only halfway between her hips and her knee. Her hair was down and she wore no hat for now. Her green eyes shimmered with the reflection of the screen. She wasn't expecting company, and she was living alone, so looking like herself or using magic wasn't really an issue.

*KNOCK* *KNOCK*

Months. Months away. Six? Seven, he thought? He really shouldn't have just up and disappeared, but Tobias really had no choice at the time. Honey didn't deserve that, and it may be too late to make up for it. So he stood there, pounding on her door in the middle of the night, hoping she answered, a handful of flowers behind him.

Honey jumped at the sound of the knocking, and instantly rolled over the edge of the couch, ducking her head to avoid being seen. When she was sure they weren't coming in, she sent a small black butterfly under the door, which immediately caused her to freeze. Speak of the devil and he shall appear, huh...?

What followed was a quick series of light footsteps towards the door and the clicking of a few locks. The door opened, Honey standing there rather blankly as she looked at the weapon. With the information she had gathered on Grimoires lately, she had figured Tobias dead if he had gone hunting on his own. Yet here he was, at her door. She lightly stepped aside, as if to let him in.

Tobias walked inside, closed the door, but didn't take another step. He set his bag down on the floor, and extended the arms with the flowers in them.

"Uhh.. Hey uh.. These are for you."

Tobi stood waiting, thinking to himself. He honestly thought she wouldn't take them, and that she would of told him to get out by now. But she didn't. Why?

Honey took the flowers rather slowly, then back to Tobias before giving a long sigh of both relief and mental exhaustion. "Is this an apology...? I figured you had died. I should be the one apologizing... Your first mutation was rather... Violent. I did some research, stop eating monster souls." She said as she walked around the counter into the Kitchen area to vase the flowers.

"Where have you been?" The girl questioned, setting the vase on the table and walking to clean up the chocolates she had spilled.

"I just... I needed time to think. Think about things. And before long, I had gotten myself into trouble along the way. Needless to say, I'm changed."

Tobias' clothes were in tatters, very out of character for him. His hair was longer, a beard had grown in, and stank of something horrible.

"But now, I'm back. As far as the Monster thing goes, I didn't run into a single one while I was awhile. Strange, I know. Anyway, I'm sure whatever the problem is, I can handle it Honey, I'm a strong weapon."

Honey have a nod. "[color-khaki]It's more that your BODY can't handle it. I think your black blood works against you. It's in your best interests to shoot for Death Scythe, trust me.[/color]" She stated, walking towards the hallway closet to grab a towel and a wash cloth. "You want a shower? We can get you new clothes come tomorrow." She stated flatly, as though nothing had changed since he left. She no longer seemed annoyed or mad, in fact, a kind of smile was across her face.

"I shower would be nice. The problem is I have nowhere to stay, and I don't want to intrude or anything.."

Tobias stood near the door, not moving an inch, prepared to turn and leave if Honey wanted him to. However, he was happy to see a smile creep across her face, it made him feel happy, in an odd way.

"So I can leave if you want me to.."

Honey shot Tobias a cross look, her smile dropping. "Don't you even think of leaving. You vanish for months, then you come in looking like that, and you think I'd LET you walk out let alone send you out? Go take a shower, you're staying here until I can trust you to leave my watch and not come back looking like you've been living in the woods." She snapped at him, pointing down the hallway to the bathroom in a rather motherly fashion.

Tobias shuddered, throwing his hands up as if to surrender.

"Alright, alright, I get the memo, I'll stay here."

Tobias trotted down the hallway, turning into the bathroom, and begin to strip.

"She does care after all." He said quietly. Tobias spent the next hour cleaning himself up. He took about thirty minutes showering. He'd forgotten how it felt to be so clean, it was amazing, After he was done, he took a fraction of time to shave, leaving his face smooth, like it had been before.

After he was done, he walked back into the living room to find Honey.

Honey was sitting on the couch waiting, a tray of sandwiches lay on the coffee table. "So, assuming you're still to be my weapon, you'll stay here for now. We can worry about finding a Kishin Egg later... Anything you want to do as our first course of action otherwise...?"

"You're the Meister, I should be asking you that question."

Tobias sat next to Honey her couch, wearing his tattered pants as makeshift pajamas.

"I'm curious where I'm supposed to sleep. I'm guessing on the couch here? It's fine, it feels comfortable and all."

Tobi scratched his chin, a new quirk he'd picked up on his travels. He happens to do it when he gets nervous.

Honey shook her head no. "I couldn't let you sleep on the couch. It's expensive, but it's still a couch. I had a guest room, but it's more of an office now... So you can just sleep with me. My bed is plenty big enough." She replied, leaning on him rather casually, her ears twitching casually.

Tobi blushed. He looked down at his hands, trying to think of why Honey suggested that, but he couldn't come up with an answer. "Uhh... I uhh.. I really don't know how to respond to that." Tobias began scratching his chin again, more nervous then ever.

When Tobias' started sounding flustered, Honey glanced up at his flushed-black face. A mischievous smirk stretched her lips as she took hold of Tobias' arm, nuzzling him playfully. "What's wrong?~" She cooed, looking up at him. "Does sleeping in the same room as a child make you nervous? Are you a pervert, mister?~" Added the witch teasingly.

"N-no. It doesn't bother me! D-don't act like you're a child, you're over a hundred years old! You're the one that's the cougar!" Tobias skittered back to Honey's room, but stopped before the door, figuring that she should go in first since it was her room.

Honey gave a teasing giggle as Tobias darted off towards her bedroom. She followed along, slightly bemused by his response. Stepping past him, she opened the door and flipped on the light. The room was decorated with fancy dressers and well made queen sized bed. It almost looked more like a hotel room than a bedroom... It had to be an expensive setup, but if anyone knew Honey, they knew it was to her taste.

Tobias' eyes widened as he entered the room. It was way larger than the apartment that he used to stay at. The furniture was high end, and Tobi almost felt like he was not high pollutant enough to be in here. But he stepped in anyway, waiting for Honey's instructions.

Honey walked her way to the bed, siting on the edge and swaying her feet like a child. She glanced a Tobias with a look of almost content nature, patting the bed next to her. The small witch seemed to study him carefully, ears seeming to tune in to his direction, before giving a light nod of approval to herself.

Tobias cocked his head and sighed. He wasn't getting out of this. He walked over to the bed, laid down, and covered himself up. Her bed was surprisingly comfy, it was silky, warm, and had layers of blankets. He would never get cold sleeping here. He pulled his covers up to his neck, and a smile creeped across his face.

Honey watched as the weapon covered up and seemed to become content. Satisfied with this response, Honey herself turned off the lights and slipped under the covers before curling up to Tobias and closing her eyes. It was nice to have someone in her bed again. The last time she had somebody sleep in her bed she was married to them. It was rather calming actually... She hadn't realized how much she had missed having someone around the house at night.

Tobi's eyes opened up as he felt something latch onto him. He reached over, and felt something smooth and soft, realizing it was Honey. Tobias let out a sigh of relief, turned towards the girl, wrapping his arm around her, then closing his eyes once more.

Honey was a bit surprised that Tobias had responded as positively as he did, but she was pleased none the less. With a light sigh of content, the little witch fell asleep.


Honey's eyes fluttered open, allowing her the first glimpses of the next day. She hadn't set any alarms. There was no real reason for her to be up early today, so she may or may not have over-slept...

*Yawwwwwwwwwn*

Tobias let out of a giant sigh as he reached into the fridge for fruit. He was a quest, the least he could do was make breakfast. Knowing Honey, or girls in general, she would take away to get ready, plus she wasn't even awake yet. The pancakes were already done, set neatly in the middle of the dining table, with the bacon and sausage still cooking. Reaching into the cabinet overhead the counter, Tobi grabbed a bowl, filled it with fruit, then set it on the table.

Honey rolled out of bed, quite literally. Falling to the floor with a light bump. She stood and changed into her normal attire, a white jean skirt, a pink t-shirt, and a white knit beanie. She tucked her hair into the beanie, letting it hang out the back and giving the "poofy" look that hid her ears. She grabbed a pair of pink and white sneakers from her closet, tucking the box under her arm and strolling out of the room as she rubbed her now-blue eyes and yawned. "...What's that smell...? Did you cook something?" She called down the hall as she wandered towards the living room.
