The Return

Daniel was walking through the halls, urgently. Ikaru had texted him that he had something really important to show him right outside the academy. He went outside and saw him. Ujiami. Ujiami was talking to Ikaru and Kori, but when he saw Daniel, their locked eyes. They started to walk towards each other, which turned into a run. They ran at each other, arms outstretched. When they got to each other, Daniel lifted him off the ground, spinning him. He set him on the ground and they brought each other into a hug. Then, just as quickly, they let go realizing that others were probably watching. "Hey man! Woah, what's with your eye? How did you get here?" Ujiami just laughed and said, "Long story bro. First I think you should meet someone. My sister." He walked over back to Ikaru and Kori.

She waves at him. "Hi. I'm Kori, Ujiami's sister."

Daniel waves back and says, "I'm Daniel. Daniel Akagi. Pleased to meet you."

"You too. I haven't been her in so long so I don't know many of the people here."

"Well, it shouldn't be too hard to make friends here." Ujiami cuts in and says, "Don't get too friendly Daniel." Daniel looks at him and says, "Don't worry...I still have a girlfriend..." This seems to surprise Ujiami. A lot.

She laughs a little at Ujiami being so surprised.

"Something isn't right." I said leaning against the wall next to them. "You're kidnapped by one of the academy's biggest targets, and return with your sister and just a few marks? I don't buy it. You have no sore muscles as if you've been in a major struggle, and your perfectly fine psychologically. Your sister here? Where did she come from?"

Ujiami smiles. "Hey man, simmer down. I've been back for about a week now. Just needed to lie low. As for my sister, I figured she may have been targeted. So, I told her to come here...and as for my wounds well...most of them healed." His tone makes him sound a little uneasy at the end. As if he was scarred emotionally.

"So you're Ujiami!" I said, bouncing my way over to the group "I'm sorry about what happened, I'm glad you're safe now though."

"Thanks. Now, who was the nice person to tell you I was missing?" Daniel walks over and says, "That would be me. Ujiami, this is my weapon, Ayoko." He extends a hand and says, "Pleased to meet you."

She shook his hand, smiling brightly at him "I hope we get to know we each other better soon, it's always nice to have another friend."

"And I'm Kori, his sister!" She says happily.

"Hello!" She gave her a wave and smiled, "We should hang out sometime."

She nods in agreement. "Sure thing!"

Ujiami keeps his smile. He looks to Daniel and says, "So, where is this 'girlfriend' of yours?" Daniel grins and says, "Funny you should ask that..."

Ikaru mutters, "What the hell is his deal..."

"Im gonna guess he isn't a trusting person." Kori says pointing to the way Ace went.

"I almost forgot!" Ayoko said remembering something,"I got you two gifts!" She walked over to them and gave them each a small box which contained a gift card for Ujiami and a bracelet for Kori.

"I'm sorry if you don't like it....I just didn't know what to give you guys..." She says, fiddling with her fingers nervously.

"it's so pretty!" She says putting it on. "Thank you!"

"Oh, no, it's awesome. Seriously, thanks." He looks like he's about to hug her, but Daniel goes and puts him in a headlock. He immediately lets go and says, "Heh, sorry...force of habit..."

"Heh, I'm glad you guys like them!" She chirps happily, "I was really scared that you would hate them...."
