Trapped

Nathaniel looked around at his surroundings, still in his animal form.

A cheerfully painted room with lots of glass cages, each holding animals (Pet Store.) As Nathaniel put a paw on the invisible wall in front of him, he realized he was trapped in one of them.

He thought about ways to escape.

Human form... no doubt I would be ~~exposed~~ thought of as evil...
Breaking glass... could hurt.
The best I can do is look cute, be adopted, and possibly run away from there...

Dylan walks in, looking for a job when he sees nathaniel in the cage. " hey, how much for this one?"

A man who works at the store looks at Nathaniel and states the price of $650.

Nathaniel looks at Dylan.

About time. He thought

Saiko walks over towards them and says, "C-cute puppy..." She says, kneeling down next to the cage to get a better look of him. She then looks up and notices Dylan and sighs, "Oh s-sorry I didn't k-know someone w-was already going to b-buy him."

Nathaniel looks at the two.
First at Daniel.
He seems hard to get away from.. hmm..

Then at Saiko.
She seems easy to get away from.. but.. why do I feel I should not abandon her... It would be best if she had an animal.. I couldn't abandon her...

He started staring at her, tail wagging.

"saiko, why dont we both chip in? ill help to take care of it but it can live with you if you want"

"Sure I-I guess." She agrees, smiling brightly at the puppy. "H-how much?"

"$650" says the store employee.

Saiko takes out a wad of cash from her pocket and hands the man 325$ "Here's h-half the cost." She then looks over at Dylan as if she was asking him if she should pay the rest or if he will.

"OBJECTION!" Nighttail bursts in, finger pointing at the clerk, "I demand that it be lowered to $500!"

"Um." The clerk says. "Would you survive is I said no...?"

" Crap, ive only got 200. do you mind saiko?"

"No..." Nighttail says now calmed down
"Stop impersonating Phoenix Wright you idiot." Jack walks in, hands in his pockets."Do you have any idea how stupid you look?"

The store clerk stares at him.

"Then no."

Saiko nods and hand over 150$ to the clerk. "It's f-fine we can p-pay 650$..."

Suddenly Nighttail falls down as if struck by lightning

"A-are you o-okay!" Saiko asks worriedly, kneeling down next to him. "W-what happened?"

" I have to get going. I'm not one to stay out late. ill come visit tomorrow Saiko." gestures goodbye and walks out

"He's fine." Jack says, "Just hold on"
Holds a burger in front of Nighttail's nose
Suddenly Nighttail wakes up, looks up, and starts eating the burger.

The store clerk uses a key and lets Nathaniel out.

Nathaniel jumps out happily.

"Does he have a name?" Saiko asks curiously, staring at the happy puppy

The store clerk smiles and says
"That's the best part. You can name him."

"R-really!" She says surprises, "I'll n-name him.....Captain." Saiko stares at the puppy with a bright smile before kneeling down to pet him.
