Good to be back (private)

It was a nice sunny day in Death City as it normally is, just a little before noon and Kev was walking casually down the streets keeping to himself. It's been a little over a year since he has been in Death City. Arriving just four days ago, he spent those four days unpacking and adjusting to his new situation. Now it was time to get out and see what's new in Death City.

"Not much has changed I see." He mumbled to himself as he walked down one of the streets. Looking around at all the little shopping booths the district had to offer that day. "I could really use something to drink right about now." He thought to himself as he had approached a vendor that sold snacks and refreshments. Waiting in line, an old memory ran through his mind; a much younger Kev was walking down this very same street. It was his first time in Death City and he was quite nervous. Looking around at everything trying to take in as much as he could, when all of a sudden someone bumps into him from the side. "Watch where you are going!" Kev exclaimed. The stranger answered "Sorry about that, my name is...." Kev snapped out of the memory just in time to order what he wanted. After he purchased a water bottle he sat down on a nearby bench. Kev sat there watching the people pass him by and enjoying the refreshing water. "It's nice to be back." He said softly to himself.

Kazumi sits on a park bench near Kev reading her favorite book. Not paying attention to the people and him. She smiles a bit as she reads. "Love can over come your darkest fears". She closes the book without hesitation and shakes her head. " what a lie". She begins to get up and walk away slowly, leaving her pencil behind. She walks farther away then checks her pockets. "Oh no, my pencil!" She quickly starts walking back reciting in her head. "Please be there..."

Kev had not noticed the girl sitting beside him til she said something after reading the book she had. He looked over and admired the girl. Before he could say anything she got up and left the bench. He didn't think much of it until he placed his hand on the bench and realized she had left her pencil. Kev got up from the bench and looked in the direction she left. I bet I can still catch up with..." Before he could finish, the girl was coming back and Kev knew why. "Let's have a bit of fun" he thought to himself. He would approach the girl and with a smile on his face he said "Excuse me? Are you looking for this?" He held the pencil over her head using his height advantage to play around with her.

"Yes, that's mine...may I have it back?" She reaches her hands up and stands on her tippy toes. She stands back on her feet and glares at you intensely. "Why are you smiling?" She sighs and waves her hand as she turns around and walks away slowly. "Keep it, I don't have time to play any games." Continues walking away. "What a pity... I liked that pencil."

Watching her countless attempts at reaching her pencil, Kev couldn't help but grin at her. When she stopped and glared, Kev answered "Why am I smiling? Hmm maybe it's because you look adorable on your tip toes." He kept on smiling. When she walked away he felt bad about teasing her. He walked up behind her and put his hand over her shoulder before he walked in front of her. " Sorry about that, here's your pencil." He handed her the pencil. "My name is Kev by the way. Kev Martin. He smiled hoping she would forgive him.

Blushes as I continue walking "stupid boy" hears someone behind me but doesn't look back. Shivers as I feel your hand and then looks up at you. Takes my pencil back and tilts my head. I'm Kazumi Kagome, I'm a weapon." Begins walking away slowly then turns back. " nice meeting you" continues walking.

"Kazumi Kagome." That's a nice name he thought to himself. Kev watched as she was walking away and then realized that the girl stated she was a weapon. He let those words replay into his mind before he snapped out of it. "She was a weapon!" He said to himself as he ran up to her and grabbed her hand to slow her down. "Kazumi was it?! You said you are a weapon right? I'm a meister!" he said ecstatically before calming down. Kev fixed his beanie before talking to Kazumi. "If you don't mind me asking, what is your weapon form?"

Continues walking then sighs a bit as I hear him yelling to himself, but couldn't make out what he said. Feels you grab my hand and looks at you like you gone crazy. "Yes, I'm a weapon..." watches you fix your Beanie then nods "sure I'll tell you." Smiles a bit. "Well I'm a katana....uh I look like... well I can only transform my arm.... sighs as she face palms. "Yeah I'm sorta a lame weapon...." she touches her necklace and smiles. "But I will transform when the time is right.

"A katana you say? That's not the least bit lame. I think it's pretty cool." he smiles a bit. "That's a nice necklace. It looks good on you." Glancing at the moon shaped necklace and then back to Kazumi. "When will you know when the time is right?" he picks up both of her hands, his right holding her left and his left holding her right. "Soo.. Which hand transforms? The left or the right?"

Smiles a bit and nods. "It holds memories" tilts my head and shrugs a bit. "When I'm ready I guess" jumps back a bit as you grab my hands. It's my right. "I'll show you" my arm glows a slivery color then my arm turns into the blade. Points the blade at you and smiles. "See"

Kev backs away as she began to transform her arm. It never ceased to amaze him whenever a weapon transformed. The silvery color that emitted as Kazumi right hand was transforming made his eyes widen. When it was over he examined the blade until she pointed at him. "Hey! Don't point that thing directly at me." Takes two steps back and uses his finger to move the blade to the left so it wouldn't be directly on him. "It's amazing." He ran his finger through it and poked the tip of it. "..and sharp as well." Grabbing his finger that had a tiny drop of blood on it.

Smiles as you got startled. And watches you look amazed then as you move the blade away. "Yes it's very sharp!" A bright flash consumes my hand and the blade turns into my hand, Looks at the blood on your finger and grabs your finger gently. "Does it hurt?" Quickly pulls out a band-aid and puts it around your finger. "Why would you touch the point stupid!" Sighs and looks at you. "Well at least I patched your finger up" smiles at you

"No, it doesn't hurt. I've been through worse." Kev watches as Kazumi puts the band-aid around his finger. It made him smile that she would do that. "well I wanted to see how sharp it is. I've known some weapons that have dull points. Anyways thank you for patching it up." He looked at his wrapped finger and then back at Kazumi. "Hmmm...." He looked up at the sky for a moment and then at the ground "...How about I treat you too lunch or something like that? It's the least I could do for you helping me out just now." He asked in a somewhat nervous voice.

Giggles a bit as you say some weapons have dull points. "I never seen weapons with dull points, but maybe I'm wrong." Smiles as you look at your finger than back at me. "Your very welcome." Tilts my head in confusion as you look at the sky then smiles a bit as you say you would take me out to lunch. "Well I guess lunch couldnt hurt...but it will have to be quick, you see I'm in the middle of drawing some pictures." Shows you a picture of a rose with a skeleton holding it. "I have to make a couple corrections though" looks at my picture then back at you.

Kev was excited that she agreed to having lunch. When Kazumi showed him her picture, he looked at it and smiled. "It looks really good. I think it is fine the way it is." He grabbed her hand real quick as a gesture to follow him. "Come on, there's this nice cafe that you might like." They walked down the street, when Kev decided to get to know Kazumi a bit better. "You have a talent for drawing. How long have you been drawing?" He thought about earlier when they were on the bench, ""I take it you like to read books as well? I've never been much of a reader."

She smiles a bit. "No no it needs more... shading." Follows you as I look around and nods. "I don't really go out much..." looks at him as he asks me questions, then looks down. "Well since I was little." Sorta glares at you. "I might as well tell you now, your not gonna know alot about me so don't try to find out because I wont tell you." Continues following you as I keep looking down.

"More shading?" Kev thought to himself. He quickly let that go as soon as she spoke again. He could feel something was wrong by the way she talked and stared at the ground. "I'm sorry if I may have said something wrong. You don't have to tell me if you don't want to." He looked at Kazumi with concerned but didn't want to make her feel uncomfortable with anymore questions. He looked up and noticed they had made it to the cafe. " well here we are." They arrived at the small cafe and he took Kazumi to this table that overlooked a small part of the city. "It's a nice view isn't it?" He looked at the view and then back at Kazumi. Few seconds after, a waiter would approach them and take their orders. "I will just have a glass of tea. Thank you." The waiter would then turn to Kazumi and take her order.

"No, no you said nothing wrong." Looks at you then sighs a bit as a little silence followed. "Oh yeah we are here." I smile a bit. Follows you too the table and looks outside smiling more. "It's breath taking hehe" looks back at him. As the waiter comes I look at you both, then the waiter turns to me and I tilt my head. " I um would like some tea as well and a doughnut." Smiles at the waiter.

"I had a feeling you might like the view. Maybe one day you can draw it. I bet it would look amazing." Staring at the view of the city and enjoying the breeze. He turned to Kazumi, "I take it you are new here, seeing as you can't fully transform. If you don't mind me asking, when did you know you were a weapon?" He looked down at the table hoping she wouldn't get uncomfortable like earlier. As Kev stared down, the waiter had returned with what they ordered. He drank some of his tea and thanked the waiter for their service.
