The Hatter and The Hare?! (Mature)

Mad Beyril laughed wickedly, charging him with her scythe.

His entire body becomes covered in pointed studs, and the axes on his forearm grow to full size. He swings his arms like the weigh nothing, screaming at her the entire time. "You took the one thing I cared about! The only thing I cared about. You and him, you both deserve death a thousand times over."

Aiko turns her point finger into a gun barrel, and a small scope pops up where her thumb would be. "Should we help him? Sounds like he has some stuff he needs to get out..."

Asuka looked across the pond, "Only if he needs it." she recalled the witch hunt.
Mad Beyril, laughed, effortlessly avoiding his swings, bringing her scythe down on him.

Another set of axe blades grow on the inside of his forearms and he catches the axe, the studs on his chest shooting out as the ends of poles. "Say something! Don't act like you aren't responsible! Don't act like you haven't ruined my life!"

Mad Beyril kicked at his chest while he was distracted by her scythe, "I ruined your life? No, that was you. You are the one who broke and destroyed your family. You. No one else." she spat.

Sylas's soul flares around him, covering him and a good amount of space around him. It's a frosty white, like fresh snow, but as he continues to fight it starts to take a redder tone. "I won't stop until you're dead. Not until you lie dead on the ground!" His moves become more feral, more animalistic.

Mad Beyril smiled, "Then you cannot defeat me." her appearance shifted, and no longer Mad Beyril stood before him, but Dowan.

Sylas, mid swing, pauses. "D-Dowan? W-What're you doing here?"

She smiled, "I'm here to stop you."

Sylas's body shivers as all of the weapon constructs vanish. "Stop me from what?"

"Stop you from killing yourself. Don't you see that's what you're doing?" She asked.

He shakes his head, reaching a hand to stroke her cheek. "What am I doing, Dowan? I can't see..."

"You're killing yourself! You've so devoted yourself to this blind revenge that you're letting it kill you." She appeared very sad, as though she were afraid of what he was going to do.

He takes a step closer to her, pulling her into a hug. "I-I'm sorry, Dowan....I'll stop, I promise...for you..."

Dowan smiled, "I know you'll defeat Saca. I believe in you. All I ask is that you do not let your revenge consume you. I need my Sylas to come home to me as he was."

He nods, starting to run a hand through her hair. "I promise I will, Dowan...I promise....and I'm so sorry..."

Dowan looked behind him, then back up to him, "Now, you can fight her."

Mad Beyril stood behind him with her scythe, "Try again?"

OOC: That did not go the way I thought it would...

He doesn't turn to her, a pole shooting out his back towards her.

Mad Beyril dodges it effortlessly, "Not even going to face me? How very cowardly."

OOC: The point here is to use this as a teachable moment. :P

He breathes calmly, turning to her. "I can't let you hurt her. Beyril's my student, and she's my responsibility. It's over. I've got two other Death Scythes backing me up..."

She grinned, "Not dodging my insults? That's a new one."

He starts walking towards her. "This soul is my charge. You'll do no harm to it..."

Mad Beyril grinned, "I've taken her eyes. I can do more than damage her soul, I can break her body!"

He shakes his head, soul flaring back around him. "No. No more. You're done here, at least for now. Its time for you to go to sleep, and we're going to be the ones to do it. Aiko, Asuka!" Aiko takes this as her queue, firing and shattering the tip of the scythe.
