Veva Avery

Gender/Sex: Female

Age: 18

Meister: (N/A)

Weapon Form:
Weapon Form: Veva's weapon form has always been, and continues to be, a teacup. However, she isn't just some ordinary teacup that's there for sipping hot liquid and looking fancy. No, Veva is special.
In her teacup form, she slowly brims to the top with acidic or otherwise harmful materials. Acids, turpentine, maybe even a brimming cup of spiders!
Not only that, but Teacup has the quite devastating ability to effectively negate Soul Resonance by sucking up the soul energy caused by the syncing of Meister and Weapon into her cup, which she can then turn into energy for her Meister to shoot out of the cup. Of course, she can only do this when she's absolutely aware of the enemy's resonance, she can't do it if they aren't resonating.
As well as being able to absorb Resonance energy, she can also redirect low levels of Witch magic by, once again, sucking their magic into her cup and then using it as an attack. Although higher levels of magic are harder for her to defend and negate, she can do it on occasion. It takes a lot of will and some luck.

Upon Resonating with her partner, the only proper description for what happens is that her cup essentially flows over with "soul" tea and the cup melts into the Meister's hand leaving an Ace of Spades in place. Glowing pinkish-red fluid energy that can be used as projectile weaponry that will scald the opponent. Not only that, but it carries the same properties as she does meaning that it can negate Resonance energies and could potentially be used to create a dome that restricts opponents from using Soul or Link Resonance. Aside from that, this liquid is somewhat of an extension of herself and as such can be manipulated by her or using her. The liquid itself feeds off of energy as well as it negates others from using it, and wastes a lot of it during use. Because of this little caveat, to be used extensively it requires either souls or other people's energy.

However, due to the lack of souls she's consumed, she doesn't have complete control over her Resonance ability nor does are her current abilities as strong as they could be. Her ability to bring forth harmful materials requires a sort of wind-up charge, as she only slowly produces things. Redirecting energy attacks isn't quite the cakewalk either, as the more that Veva does it the more that her cup chips and cracks. And to replenish it, she needs to return to human form so as to not cause serious harm to her body. This process isn't exactly instant, so it can cause a break in the flow of combat. Her current physical health also affects the look and sturdiness of her cup. When the cup breaks, it doesn't outright kill Veva, but it does cause some severe damage to her body along the lines of breaking a limb.

Love Interest: Veva loves tea! ..that doesn't count? Uhh.. Well, in that case, none in particular.

Orientation: Uhhh... tea?

Appearance: Veva's matured quite a bit in the past two years, having grown to look somewhat her age. Her hair has evened out quite a bit, now her bangs are both equal length downwards. Her hair pigmentation has also darkened, leading to her hair becoming darker red rather than the bright pink that it was some time ago. Her eyes are a dark emerald green that shifts to pink when she's using her powers. Her nose is slim and rosy, as are her lips. She's much more adult looking that she was before, being around 4-5 inches taller as well as more buxom.

Her sense of dress is still around the same, choosing more gothic dresses, skirts, and blouses and being big on the colors black and white. She does occasionally bring a bit of pink into her color scheme but not often enough for it to be important. Her always important top hat is still around, and decorated a bit differently. She's forsaken the skull for more flowers. This is subject to change, however. For example, around Christmas time she tends to wear mistletoe in her hat.

Personality: Veva's jovial, in a sort of off kilter manner. She's the kind of person that'd approach you and be quite kind whilst you were talking, but at the same time chances are you would feel somewhat uncomfortable during said conversation. She has a way of making things seem kind of odd or weird without actually saying something out of place. Veva also tends to laugh at times that would seem almost inappropriate or just plain out of nowhere. She loves jokes, so much so that she keeps a little joke book hidden within the seemingly infinite space within her top hat.

Veva's almost addicted to tea. She drinks it at almost every chance that she gets, and tends to make it at times that would be considered not exactly the best. Her taste for tea is so strong that she can smell it from quite a ways away, and distinguish types of leaves based on taste and smell. Unfortunately, she can't tell tea leaves from other plants in the wild, and that has lead to her making some somewhat ignorant decisions. And she is somewhat ignorant herself. A lot of her choices are based on a lack of knowledge or an abundance of misinformation.

She's very obsessive now, about those that she cares about and those who she loves. When she finds someone that she really likes, she tends to throw herself at them until she gets a response that elicits a reaction from her.

History: Born to a witch and another weapon, Veva had somewhat of an odd upbringing. While she was experimented on somewhat, which is common among the children of witches, it was never specifically malicious or intended to cause harm. Rather, Veva's mother attempted to install some form of advantage into her daughter so as to give her a leg up in life. During this experimentation, her soul was made somewhat murky and hard to read by Soul Perception, which turned out to come in handy much later in life. After a couple of years of experimentation, and caring for her child, her mother handed custody over to one of her sisters and all but disappeared from Veva's life.

From then on it was her aunt, Kaimana, who was to take care of her, forced into acting as a maternal guide despite her lack of prior experience. Due to how busy she tended to be, and how little she particularly cared for telling Veva what to do, Veva ended up making a lot of bad decisions. It wasn't necessarily that she was a bad person, she just chose to do wrong more often than not for fun's sake. This lead to that, which lead to crimes, which lead to her being put out of Kaimana's home due to her not wanting to deal with it.

Veva started hanging out with what one could call the "wrong crowd", a group of pretty nasty kids that tended to things that were more aligned with the term bad than anything else she'd ever been involved with. Things less harmful, like water balloons full of hot sauce to more dastardly things like stuffing cherry bombs into toilets. Unfortunately, what Veva didn't know was that they had somewhat of a plan involving her once they found out she was a weapon. They hunted down and killed someone, storing the soul and waited for her to come back around. Once she did, she was held to a wall and force-fed the normal human soul against all the kicking and screaming and biting she could do.

This lead to an unfortunate downward spiral where she became addicted to human souls, but tried her hardest not to eat them. She broke off from her group of "friends" so as to attempt to stabilize herself with isolation. This lead to a deeper spiral which then culminated in her succumbing to her cravings and lashing out at any human being that came near. She got beaten up pretty bad in the process, but got the souls that she so craved. Madness slowly crept in, making herself more bold and brash. Veva went into the world proudly to look for a partner to help her feed her cravings. For a while, she was without, before she found someone that could attempt to help. Together they found many a soul and fed each other equally. Unfortunately, her partner left for some kind of personal journey and something in the pit of Veva's stomach was going crazy. She couldn't stop it. It just built, and built, and got worse and worse. Eventually it got to the point where she went to the DMWA and attempted to get herself purged.

After being purged and not killed, luckily, she tried to fit into the school and put herself back onto the right track. The urge to consume always continues, however.

Soul Count: 0, after purging

Miscellaneous: This is a remake, of course, of the character Veva Avery.
Her theme color is hot pink.
She seemingly appears out of nowhere when she arrives somewhere
She loves sweet things and will go to many lengths to get a taste of something sweet

Have You Read the Rules?

"However, she isn't just some ordinary teacup that's there for sipping hot liquid and looking fancy. No, Veva is special"

Your failure to take advantage of this moment to say: She's not your ordinary cup of tea. Disgusts me. However, since that's the only problem I have with this app, AND I absolutely love everything about the character....
