Alone

"Pretty much." she says, smiling a barely noticeable smile.
Friends That word made her want to throw up, but she didn't show any signs of it.

"So what are we supposed to do now? Oh and I only have the one blanket, so I'll probably sleep by the fire." [Great... now we're friends... -_-" God I'm an idiot.]

"No, I'll sleep by the fire." She says, firmly "You've already done to much."

"No, I can't just leave a lady to cuddle up to a fireplace."

"And I can't sleep knowing I took your last blanket."

"I can think of a solution." He says, smiling a bit.

"And what is that?"

Ace wraps his arms and the blanket around her and lays down, bringing her with him. "Good night."

God, why did he have to touch me! She thought, trying to fall asleep. Soon enough, she was able to fall asleep, but the whole night she was crying and/or whimpering with an occasional scream.

Ace wakes up screaming occasionally, and at one point at the same time as Koizumi. "Oh, sorry. Did I wake you?" [This is going nowhere reeeaall fast.]

"No, my nightmares did." She says, wiping her tears away so she could go back to sleep.

"Sorry... would it help if I left..?"

"Don't apologize, it doesn't matter if I'm the only person in the world, my past will always haunt me."

"Maybe we should just stay up..."

"And do what?"

"Eh... I see your point."

"Stupid question but I have to ask, do you happen to have an acoustic guitar?"

"No, but I used to be pretty good at the piano, and we still have a small one in the vault."

"Want to head down there and play a couple of songs?"

"Yeah I guess I could."

She stands up and waits for Ace to lead the way since she didn't know her way around yet.

He stands and walks to a corner, with a human sized lid in the ground, and grabs on to the handle. "Sometimes it sticks, so..." He pulls at the lid.

She climbs down the ladder and walks into the dark room, unfazed.

Ace follows her down, closing the lid and flipping on the lights. He walks down the cave-like halls of the vault, and goes around a corner where a massive rat, that's more chubby and cute than terrifying, growls at him. "Bad boy Coco!" Ace punches it in the nose and it puts it's head down, licking his leg.

"nice pet." Koizumi says with a smirk "It looks cute."
