| Heaton, Jessie
Gender: Female
Age: 234 years
Animal Form: Jessie’s animal is that of a simple ferret. Oddly enough, she assumes such forms often. There is no specific species or even coloration she favors, taking on any coloration possible for a typical ferret, and occasionally using colorations that are simply not possible or normal, such as green and black fur. She’s even known to use magic to alter the sizes and assume a larger than normal form.
Love Interest: Jessie has no current crushes or love interests, not that she is opposed to the idea mind you.
Appearance: Jessie, despite her age of 234, looks about 16-20 years old, depending on how others judge her age. In general she has a fairly good looking body, though not beautiful to most people. She stands a total of 5 feet 6 inches tall. Jessie weighs a total of 140 pounds. In general her body is a lean athletic build, lacking the bulk of the normal male muscle, hers are compacted and smaller, giving her a naturally fit and lean body. Her muscles lack the definition you would expect from a male. Overall it helps give her body a softer feel, which she prefers. Her breasts are not greater than average, not being overlarge, which is again to her preference. In summation, she isn’t a runway model by any means, running far closer to average looks. She does have good skin going for her though, soft and not oily or dry, just right. Her face is moderately angular, but not too much so. Her eyes are a soft chocolate brown, which seem to be more luminous and bright than that of a normal human, but not quite enough to cause a distraction or suspicions. Her hair is much the same color, a chocolate brown, which reachers her shoulders, but no longer. Her clothing is typically very simple. Despite being a witch, she doesn’t really wear typically witchy clothing. That said she has a preference for feminine clothing over things such as jeans. Typically she wears a skit that ends just below her knees, most often of a white and chocolate brown color. This color scheme largely runs through her wardrobe, accenting her hair and eyes well, and choosing colors that go with it well.
She favors whites as well, making those her two most worn colors. One can notice if around her much, that she typically wears clothing similar to her favorite fur colorations in ferret form. She usually wears a simple pair of shoes, nothing overly fancy. You could summarize her clothes as feminine within the bounds of practicality. The next most important thing to discuss is the rather unusual features she often possesses. In short, while she is able to take an entirely human form, she often adds random ferret features. This may simply be just ferret ears, but may extend to the tail commonly as well. In some circumstances she may take this pretty far, making her far less human looking. The purpose of adding these features is simple. Firstly, she just likes the feel of fur, so things like a ferret tail just naturally appeal to her, and secondly, she thinks she looks cuter with such accents. It’s all there is to it.
Personality: Jessie is odd in that she doesn’t really fit in anywhere. She isn’t evil, but nor is she truly a good guy. But calling her an anti-hero isn’t really accurate either. In short, it’s hard to peg where she sits. One could compare her to a child that simply missed a few crucial lessons about right and wrong. She isn’t evil in that she doesn’t typically kill or torture, or even enjoy pain, but she doesn’t hesitate to do things like steal either if need be. Combine that with the fact that she has a strange childish innocence about her, despite her age, and many don’t even seem to hold her occasional stealing against her. There is something about seeing her steal an apple off the cart, and chase her into the alley, only to find her sitting down and sharing it with a ferret and noming it happily that seems to put a damper on peoples anger. It might be that perhaps some are just grateful that at least she didn’t do far worse, considering she is a witch. And speaking of witches, Jessie just doesn’t care about the plots of other witches, or their anger at Shibusen. She doesn’t really hate that other witches do terrible things, nor does she really care that those at the Shibusen are sworn to kill her kind. She ignore the fact as if there was no such fact.
Jessie is fairly playful, and easily amused, running around playing with children, or running away from a Meister that attacks her. Everything is typically a game, and she is only rarely serious. It needs to be a true life and death situation to get her to stop playing around. She playfully teases people easily, and often. She plays pranks on occasion, some of them toeing the line between harmless fun and dangerous or mean, she simply doesn’t see the line really. Growing up with a witch it’s easy to see why she missed some crucial lessons about right and wrong. Perhaps people should be thankful she turned out as she did. She also has a love for all things cute and especially soft and fuzzy, which isn’t terribly surprising considering her other personality traits. In short she is a girl, and she is fairly girly as such.
History: Jessie was born, typically enough, by a witch and warlock. She was raised from a young age constantly around magic and witches. Magic wasn’t something rare and mysterious, like a human child would think, but something common and everyday. Jessie was raised in frequent contact with witches, to the point that she saw other witches, aside from her parents, almost daily. So it was little wonder that her nature came to her more quickly than some witches. Her powers started manifesting themselves in noticeable ways around 5, and that was the first time that she ever assumed her animal form. Oddly enough she had been grounded, stuck in her room. In the end she somehow managed to get herself turned into a ferret. Needless to say being locked in her room was significantly less boring after that revelation came. In the end that day she ran around exploring her now gigantic bedroom waving around furnature. She rolled around and had a good old time in that form. At the end of her stint in the bedroom her parents found her and had a talk, at the end of which she was turned back.
Now this talk wasn’t about explaining what she was, it was mostly about “your magic is too uncontrolled, I’ll need to teach you to control that.” And oddly enough, that was all that the highlight of the conversation. Jessie was a quick study, mostly because she liked that form and it amused her. As such, she learned how to do that faster than any other spell or magic. But in general her learning progressed well, and having magic just be a common occurrence in day to day life only helped her be familiar with it, and learn it easier. On top of that, she also learned normal subjects such as math and important history such as that of Shibusen and other such details. A lot of it she found boring. She didn’t get the hate for death and his meisters. Jessie grew up learning a lot about magic. But it was at the meager age of 18 that she moved out on her own, despite not having to. Her parents were getting involved in stuff she didn’t care about, and if death or his school came she didn’t want to go down for something she didn’t do. But more than that she wanted to explore the world, and have some fun.
She had spent those years really going nowhere. No real travel other than to witch related events. Jessie struck out on her own. Though she quickly found herself without money, alone, and hungry. Needless to say she had never received ethics lessons, so she immediately set about learning to properly steal. A valuable skill on it’s own. Pick pocketing and picking locks are useful skills to have. And that was largely how Jessie made her way. She stole food and money to purchase things like food, and rooms to sleep in. She was a terrible thief at first. But apparently people were reluctant to beat a girl black and blue, and any colors in between. So she need get scolded frequently, and a time or two spent the night in jail. But as she rarely stayed in the same place twice she never really got a great reputation as a thief, because she moved around, never staying in a town for long. In the end she managed to spend her time traveling around the world, rather than staying in one place. She visited her parents when she was in the area, but that was only about once every 6 or so years at best. Now, having explored much of the world, Jessie heads towards death city, partly because she hadn’t gone there before, and partly to figure out what goes on there. Her largest source of information being from witches, they might be biased. And so Jessie heads to figure things out, and hopefully have some awesome adventures and stuff.
Miscellaneous: Jessie has a familiar, a ferret. This ferret is called Garret. And Jessie loves her Garret the Ferret. Because Garret the ferret isn’t always’s a ferret, sometimes Garret the ferret is just a Garret not a ferret! Garret is both a ferret, white with brown markings, fairly multi-colored really. He has the magical ability, as a familiar, to take on a human form. This human form is 5 feet 10 inches tall, with blue eyes and brown hair. This hair is fairly short, reaching the top of the neck at best. His body is fairly muscular and fit, but thin. Despite being able to change forms, he has no real magical powers excluding that, excepting the fact that he seems to live longer, in that most ferrets die before 23 years old, and yet Garret the Ferret seems quite in good health. ^^ As for specific magic, I will probably keep that spoiler in a character log once I get all that figured out. Since finding out witch magic doesn’t have to relate to the animal, ideas are coming. I just need to sort through them.
