Hope. Something he doesn't believe in.

Beth laid back on the couch and started to smile. A new home, wonderful food, possibly in a band, what else can this girl can get? She started to wiggle her toes as she watched Alex devour his cake. "So Alex, what do you think of me now?"

Alex looked over to the girl, "Honestly, your a sweet and kind girl and I couldn't ask for better." He mean't every word with his heart, there was a connection brewing between him and her.

Beth started to blush as he spoke his words sith feeling. Every word sounded sincere. "I think your just about the same thing. Your so humble and generous."

Alex had frozen for a split second, realizing the connection between him and Beth grew stronger. Was she really the one for him? He didn't know. All he knew was that she was a sweet and kind girl and now has finally come to love him.

Beth leaned in and kissed the side of his cheek and relaxed on the couch afterwards. After all she was showing some type of kindness, but she didn't see or experience it before.

Alex fainted, he hadn't been kissed in years and this feeling just struck him deep again since she decided to kiss him. He laid on the floor, mesmerized and in love.

Beth looked down at Ale. She shrugged, as she looked up at the ceiling. "Are you okay?"

"Y-yeah....... I think I'm in love with you, Beth." He said, blushing and still laying on the floor. It was only then he realized what he said.

"Alex, I think that's how I feel about you right now..." She said with a grin as she looked down at Alex blushing, that was the first time she had ever seen him like that before.

Alex then climbs back on the couch, tired and happy. He lays down and sets his head on Beth's lap for comfort. At least he has a reason to live now.

Beth started to cares the top of AleX' head as he rested on her lap. At least now she had a reason to come back to something once she sets off on her adventure.

Right then, Alex was having trouble trying to sleep, his body was aching again as Ivory kept messing with Alex's soul, wanting out. But Alex managed to keep Ivory at bay yet remained in pain. His back was hurting along with him having trouble to sleep. But being with Beth helped him a little.

Beth stretched her arms into the air, before placing them on Ale'x head once again. He was burning u, but he looked okay. "You don't fee well."

"No, I don't. My back is killing me and I can't sleep. I need another hot bath." Alex said in a moaned tone, he could barely talk as Ivory left him with more damage than before. The hot water should help numb the pain.

"Then that's what we should do!" Beth grabbed Alex by the ear and escorted him into the clean bathroom that took clean spring water from the ocean and into his bath water.

Alex had been cold and in pain, wondering what help would come from him. The hot bath would help him relax a bit, since he needed some time off. Alex then sat next to the bath tub and began to wait for the water to get warm.

Beth closed the wooden bathroom door and leaned against it with her arms crossed. She hadn't had a bath before in a long time, but she wasn't dirty since she snuck through apartments to take a quick washup. "What are you doing?"

"Alex sat in the tub of warm water, trying to relax and empty his mind. However, Ivory was making quite a stir and messing with Alex's soul. It was a sign that he wanted out. Yet it's a good thing Alex had Destiny to keep him in line, otherwise, Alex would go nuts. After a few moments, Alex fell asleep in the tub.

Beth thought for a minute or two until she got an idea of what they should feed on. Beth wasn't used to the rich and uptight dinners. In fact, she mostly ate little rodents from the mountains raw. "I know...Ice-cream sounds like a safe thing. " She went over to the phone and started to dial Milk Queen.

During Alex's little nap, his dreams were coursed into a more, "fantasy" theme. He could see a world that had not existed, a dream-scape that he could control as his own. Destiny had made a world for him inside his head for him to enjoy and relax in in case he was ever so stressed. Sometimes, Alex would just want to sleep and never wake up so he would be at peace forever. He even wished he was dead so he could see his parents again. But there are others who want him alive, even his own enemies.

After placing her order for strawberry icecream and cookiedough, she placed the phone on top of the table and turned around to sed Alex sleeping again. "I must say he is one lethargic guy..." She said to herself as she looked at his corpse.

Alex lied in the tub, dead as a corpse. Maybe Ivory is putting him in fatigue again? Most likely, the weaker Alex is, the better the chances of Ivory escaping. However, it was a good thing Destiny was Ivory's counterpart, she could easily subdue him. Which she did. but one thing was for sure, Alex was beat. He needed some off time from kishin hunting and this was one way to spend it.

Beth the noticed that he wasn't waking up. She stopped behind Alex and placed both of her hands on his shoulders. With every second going by, she continued to concentrate as her hands were passing through a hot energy, which is very similar to fire. Beth hoped this would make him conscious once again.

The warm feeling coursing through Alex's shoulder caused a jolt of energy to spark in his soul. He slowly began to wake up, his body feeling numb to the bone as he can't move very well. It was hard to move his eyes and look up at Beth, he was still in between reality and fantasy. From the sound of him breathing, he was having a bit of trouble to inhale oxygen. Looking back to Beth, "What happened?"

"I have no idea, it was like you were dreaming or something..." She said as she continued to look at him. Could something possibly spook him into the position he was in. "Nevermind that, are you okay?"
