The next day....

Aiko and Sozen wait in the lobby of the hotel. A group of seven people walk in. A woman with blonde hair and pigtails leads them. She wears a black trench coat, plaid skirt, sweater, and shirt. Beside her is a man with white hair, dressed in a black coat with a red undershirt and jeans.

Beside them were two boys, one with blue spiky hair and a star tattoo on his shoulder wearing a leather vest, the other with smoothed down black hair with three white lines halfway around in a suit. Beside them were three girls. One was taller, with a long black ponytail, the other two were both blondes. One was significantly taller with long hair, the other short, with short cropped hair. Both were dressed like cowgirls.

Asuka nodded to the group, "I take it you're the help Lord Death sent?"

Black*Star stretched his arms behind his head, "Yeah, well... He could have just sent me in the first place, and we wouldn't be having this conversation!"

Soul smirks. "We put one Kishin down, how hard can a second one be?"

"If we don't act fast, we'll have to worry about Asura again on top of this one." she said sternly, "That's why we called in the help. He's gathering forces from what we can gather. His compatriots have formed a counter-academy they're calling The University. We don't even know where it is."

Maka thinks for a few minutes. "Do you think maybe if we eliminate all these cults, we'll find out where they are?"

"That was our goal in knocking out this one. It's the largest. We hoped it would flush the kishin out. But if he's gathering forces, then he can just toss minions at us until we're eventually defeated. We can't fight forever." Asuka stated plainly.

Asuka looked to Soul, "We wipe out hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of entire towns of people so we can slaughter more to get to this kishin? Does that make us any better than him?" she faced Death the Kid, "I caught wind of a village in Oceania that vanished. I want us to check out the site. This one left behind bodies. Usually the kishin takes everything. Buildings, people, all of it. This one looks more like it was slaughtered."

Kid nodded, "Sounds worth investigating to me."

Sylas enters the lobby, waving to his once teacher. A huge leatherbound book slams into his face. "MAKAAAAAA CHOP!" Sylas flies backwards into a wall, leaving an indent around it.

Maka shakes her head. "Making up for lost time...Plus he was an idiot when he was my student..." Aiko and Sozen still stare at the impact crater, and one could almost see the birds flying around Sylas's head.
