DWMA Dating Raffle: Table 2 (Purple; 907624)

Glyndwr & Aurora's table (appetizer round)

Aurora, nervous, took a seat at the purple table, twirling the small pink ticket in her hands as she waited, blushing but excited.

Glyndwr stood up and make his way towards the purple table, which had his number on it. Seems like his date was already there. "Hello," He spoke calmly, as he sat down. "What would your name be?"

Aurora offered a pleasant smile at him, reaching her hand over for him to shake. "Aurora Boyd," she said, her native Australian accent clear in her words, "pleasure to meet you. And... you are?"

Glyndwr returned the hand shake, after taking his gloves off and placing them on his lap. "Glyndwr Arget," He said after taking his gloves off. "Pleasure to meet you, too."

Aurora blushed, pulling her hand back and folding them both in her lap. "So, uh... how did you end up here, Glyndwr?" There was a small menu beside her, letting her know the small list of items available for the courses. She looked down at it and a smile spread across her face. Though the list was short, each course had an option for her native country, and she could feel herself salivating at the very idea. One of the options was an Australian-centered seafood appetizer, containing a small prawn cocktail, calamari, balmain bugs (actually a sort of lobster), and fish n' chips. Something passed through her eyes, a homesickness, but she said nothing of it.

"I thought that it might be fun and finding someone to be with sounds good too." Glyndwr said, looking at the menu beside him.

She blushed a bit, looking down at her empty plate as she kicked her feet nervously under the table. "Same for me, I guess." The smile was still there, but so was the blush when she met his eyes. "So, are you a meister, too?"

"Yes, I am. Not exactly like a lot of others, but I am." Glyndwr said, after looking away from the menu and back at Aurora. He thought that her hair colour was a little unusual. He liked it. "Hey, is your hair dyed?" Glyndwr asked, curious.

Her hands immediately went to her hair, brushing through it. "No, it's natural, so are my eyes." Carefully, as she was known to poke herself in the eye if she did so too quickly or carelessly, she pushed back her hair to reveal her lavender eyes. "I'm... quite unusual." She laughed lightly, her nerves slowly beginning to dissolve. "And I'm Australian on top of it all."

Glyndwr smiled at her Australian comment. "I can tell that last part." He said, leaning forward just a bit. He then opened his right eye wider and pointed to it. "My eyes are purple, like your hair." He said, before moving back into his seat again.

He then remembered a thing that was quite important about him. "I also have a pet dragon."

She nearly jumped out of her seat at the sight of his eyes, her grin widening, her usual hyper demeanor slowly picking up pace. The thought of a dragon had her leaning forward slightly as well. "How did you... where... wha...." Her hands flew to her mouth as she tried to calm herself, muffling further questioning until she took a deep breath and relaxed. "What's his... or her... name?"

"His name is Yurio. If you see him around, don't let him at your sandwiches." Glyndwr said, completely and utterly serious. "Anyway, what are you going to eat? I can't decide, so I'll probably just take what you do."

Her face flushed again and she pointed at the Australian appetizer on his menu. "It's, uhm... a sampler of traditional Aussie dishes." A slight smirk turned up the side of her lip as she struggled to force a joke, "No sandwiches, though, sorry."

Glyndwr chuckled a bit when she said the joke. Not exactly at the joke, but at how hard she tried to think of it. It was kinda cute... "Well, I think that I will have the Aussie food, then."

She smiled, "Well, uhm... That's great!" Her blush intensified and she brushed her hair behind her shoulders as she thought, "The, uhm... the balmain bugs are a type of lobster, by the way... They're not... grubs or anything." Aurora shifted a bit before crossing her legs the other way, "So... what do you and Yurio do?"

"Well, when he doesn't go off and do his own thing it is usually flying and having conversations." Glyndwr said, smiling at the oh-so-apparent blush on Aurora's face. "So, anything you would like to say about yourself?"

She averted her gaze, "I don't know... I'm pretty new here, just started a few months before the summer. I, uhm... kinda had to get here on my own." Aurora shrugged before looking back at him, finally. "I met my weapon not too long after, though. His name's Johnny-" she flinched, "Johnathon. He doesn't like my nickname."

"Right. That's cool." Glyndwr said, as he contemplated doing what he does to most of the girls he meets; making their hair float. It's usually a good way to show people that he can use some magic, but Aurora seemed kinda skittish to him. Maybe it was just because of the situation. "Mind if I show you a little trick?"

She tilted her head just slightly but shrugged at him nonetheless. "Sure," in the back of her head, she wondered if her meant a verbal trick or a magic trick... and then whether or not it was actual magic. The thought made her stiffen just slightly; she'd already revealed herself to be a witch to far too many people.

"Well, here goes." Glyndwr said, as he moved his hand over the table. His palm was facing Aurora's head aaaand Glyndwr then clicked his fingers for extra effect and slowly made Aurora's hair fly upwards. "Yes, I can do magic. No, I'm not a warlock. Don't hate me, please?"

She let out a sort of happy squeal, quickly covering her mouth again afterwards, though the wide smile was obvious. Aurora couldn't decide whether she should keep her eyes on her hair or at him, but it was clear that she was enjoying the little trick.

Glyndwr let her hair go and chuckled, almost laughed and slid forwards in his chair. Most girls he did this to freaked out really quickly, but this girl was enjoying it so much she had to clasp her hands over her mouth. "This is a first. You actually really enjoyed it."

Aurora nodded, slowly moving her hands away. "How about I... show you something?" She looked around the room; the only person paying attention to their table ever was the chaperone.

"Go on then." Glyndwr said, as he straightened up in his chair.

She smiled, lifting her hand and holding it over the table. Slowly, she began to twirl her index finger in a circle, muttering something under her breath all the while. It took a while, but nonetheless, she managed to form a small tornado on the tabletop, swirling beneath her moving finger. As she moved her finger faster, the tornado picked up speed as well and nearly caught her menu before she placed her plate over top of it.

When Aurora started to twirl her finger on the table, Glyndwr bent forward and put his chin on the table. As soon as the tornado started to form, Glyndwr grinned and looked up and down from the little twister to Aurora's face. "That's so cool. You are a witch, aren't you?" Glyndwr asked when Aurora put her plate over the tornado. He was still sitting with his chin on the table and his hands on either side of his face, with his eyes focused on the girl.

Her finger flew to her lips as she looked around, shushing him. "Don't say it," she whispered, having paled just slightly, her freckles suddenly more obvious. "I am, well, sort of." She shrugged, returning her hands to her lap just as the teacher started making her rounds to see what everyone wanted for their appetizers.

"Ok, ok." Glyndwr said as he returned to sitting up, instead of leaning on the side of the table. He sat there, then, waiting for the teacher to come along to their table. He was also smiling at Aurora.

She smiled back, though her eyes averted quickly, and she was surprisingly thankful when the teacher came around to them next, as they were only the second table.

"And what would you both like?" The look she gave Aurora was knowing, but she waited until the girl pointed out the option before writing it down. Soon, the brown eyes were on the boy across from her, asking him for his choice as well.

"I'll take the same as her." Glyndwr said, nodding towards Aurora.
