(untitled, private, Me and James)

Jason was sitting on the stairs of the accademy in the late night, smoking and looking at the stars. He seemed lost in his thoughts. His eyepatch was removed, and his blind eye was showing.
It had ungly white globs of scar tissue lacing it, and was a milky white.
He never took his eyepatch off in front of people, afraid that he would be judged. Exhaling a cloud of smoke, Jason sighed deeply. Why did everything have to be so complicated? He thought to himself.

Daemon looks around at the academy. He had been away for a little past a year, and yet, nothing seemed to change much here. Little things, maybe, but not anything major. He looked up, up the stairs that lead themselves up to the Academy themselves. He started walking up them, thinking, "It's been a a year, wonder if any of the other people I hanged with are still here. Eh, it's whatever. I'll meet new people and if I see anybody else I know, I'll meet up with them."
He pauses at the top of the steps, and sees another guy. He watches as the guy exhales a cloud of smoke, and jokingly says, "Pretty sure this is a tobacco free campus."

"Don't care." Jason replied, eyes still on the stars as he inhaled another lungful of smoke, puffing it out quietly. Drumming his fingers softly on his knees, he frowned and turned his back to the other.
Picking his eyepatch up, he fastened it on before turning to get as much of a look at the guy as he could due to the dark.

Daemon shrugs, and says, "I only actually said it to see how you react. A person whofollows their own principles wouldn't back down, and that I like in a person. I hate cowards and since you proven yourself not to back down from a challenge, it proves you're not a coward. Name's Daemon, what's yours?"

"Jason. Jason Crescent." He replied in a quiet undertone. "I don't think I've seen you around. Are you new to the academy?" He asked, waving the hand with his cigarette lazily up towards the tall building. He stuck the cigarette back in his mouth, drawing his leather jacket around himself with a shiver.
