Training is good, right? (Lacey n myself, open)

A week or so ago, Lord Death had placed sign ups for a weapon training class. The class sign ups remained empty for several days until one name was written- "Lacey Hilt". Unfortunately within the time it took for someone to sign up for the class, the death scythe that had been normally scheduled to teach had fallen ill. This lead to one very irritated Allelujah rolling out of bed at 6 am on a Saturday- way too early in his opinion. Getting dressed, the young man stared at his reflection in the mirror. He had fought Lord Death on taking over the class due to his issue with Hallelujah, but when push came to shove somebody needed to teach the class and he was the only available one. Before heading out to the training grounds, Allelujah picked himself up a coffee. The sign up sheet had said to meet at the center of the training grounds where a small indoor gym stood. The death scythe breathed in the smell of sweat and rubber as he walked in and sat down, surveying the area for the "Lacey" girl that was supposed to show up.

Lacey woke up with no trouble at all and began to get ready for her day. Today was the day she started training with a death scythe and she couldn't contain her excitement. She got into some black and silver workout clothes, and put her long blonde hair into a high pony tail. Not having enough time to make herself some breakfast, and not having the right ingredients, she picked up a muffin on the way to her training session. She finished it as she approached the small indoor gym where her session would take place. She threw the wrapper into the nearby trashcan before walking into the gym. As she walked in, she surveyed her surroundings, trying to figure out which of the people here was the death scythe she was supposed to be meeting. In her defense, she had never seen another death scythe other than Spirit, but she knew they existed.

When the doors swung open, Allelujah glanced up with a bored expression. Some blonde girl. She looks like she's lost. Might be the one I'm training. he thought before standing up from the bench and heading over to Lacey. "You seem like you're looking for someone. My name is Allelujah, a death scythe here. Maybe I could help you out? I was supposed to be training a class today, but only one person signed up for it. Their name is Lacey, and they haven't arrived yet unless you're her." He spoke gently, as not to startle the younger girl by starting a conversation with her out of the blue. Brushing some strands of green hair out of his face, Allelujah offered the stranger a brief smile.

Lacey jumped as someone started speaking to her, calming herself down almost immediately as she listened to what he had to say. A death scythe hmm? He must be the one I'm looking for. Lacey let out a smile. "Hi, I'm Lacey. I'm the one that trained up for the class." She told him. "It's nice to meet you." She said sweetly.

Allelujah nodded. "So, are you a new student or just a weapon that hasn't gotten many souls? Your soul count would be helpful as well." He finished off his coffee and tossed it in a nearby trash can, dusting his hands off on his pants. "Also, your physical fitness outside of weapon form is helpful to know. If you're presented with a challenge and your partner is not around to wield you.. Well, most weapons are unable to master partial transformation. You need to be able to fight off whatever threat may come your way," he explained. With that, the death scythe went over to where foam cubes sat in a pit with a bar above it. Allelujah then bent his knees and hopped up onto it, starting to get a proper swing. "Get up here," he commanded, relaxing his arms to stretch.

Lacey answered his questions immediately. She had been prepared for the questions, although, she had expected to have to answer them in front of others, so she liked this a lot better. "I'm just a weapon that hasn't collected many souls. As for the number of souls I've collected, that would be 8..." Wow... She thought. I probably sound really weak. I mean, he's a death scythe, which means he's collected at least 99 kishin souls and 1 witch soul... She continued thinking before continuing. "Well, I tend to exercise everyday to help myself stay fit." She answered. "And uh... This is gonna sound kinda silly, but I... I don't have a meister..." She said, embarrassed. "I mean, I've been here over 2 years and still don't have a meister." She hopped up after Allelujah. "I signed up for this class though, so that when I do get a meister, I'll be able to protect him or her with my life." I told the death scythe.

Allelujah raised an eyebrow and blinked a few times before he turned to look at Lacey while dangling there. "Well, we all have to start somewhere. I have.. ah, issues, finding a proper meister. I'm not exactly sure why," He explained briefly, trailing off as Hallelujah muttered Maybe because you have me, hm? inside of his head. Allelujah tilted his head as he listened to Hallelujah for a moment, dropping into the foam pit. "That couldn't be it at allll, huh," the death scythe said to himself as he crossed his arms. Allelujah had intended to think what he had just spoken aloud, and so he continued on. "We ought to work on your partial transformation, I guess."

Lacey looked down at the death scythe, a bit confused. Who is he talking to? She wondered to herself before brushing it off. "I just want to find the right meister, you know? Just because I can match soul wavelengths with someone, doesn't mean I'm destined to be their partner. I want to find some that I can really connect with." She said. "Anyways, what do you want me to do first? You asked me to come up here, now here I am. I can't hang here all day." Lacey told Allelujah. To be honest, her arms were starting to hurt from hanging there so long, but she wasn't going to let go until either all her strength faded out of her, or until Allelujah told her to.

"If I don't tell you to do something, just follow me," Allelujah climbed out of the foam pit. "I was just stretching myself out, and you too," he explained briefly. With that, the death scythe started to walk away. He stepped out of the gym, ignoring if Lacey was following him or not. She didn't seem like a bad person, but Allelujah wasn't exactly one to be overly talkative. You said that aloud, idiot. Hallelujah snickered in his head. Rolling his eyes, Allelujah tried his best to stifle the snarky comments from the voice in his head. He was still a bit off when Lacey came out, his visible eye darting every which way. "So uh.. training. You know, I wasn't told I had to teach this class until yesterday,"

After being told that, Lacey immediately jumped down and began following him. "Alright then..." She muttered as she followed him outside. This guy's, uh, not what I expected out of a death scythe... She thought to herself. He seems a bit... Paranoid. She was about to ask him about it, but decided it wasn't any of her business. She lifted an eyebrow when she heard what he said. "Really? What happened to the other death scythe that was supposed to come teach me?" She asked curiously.

Allelujah moved like he was going to fix his hair so his golden eye would appear, but he froze halfway and put his hand down. "i was told they fell ill. I don't teach classes for Lord Death normally due to some circumstances. I tend to get.. intense, I guess is the best word for it," he forced himself to give Lacey a small smile before spacing out for a second. Intense. More like growing a pair Hallelujah snickered. "He's quite accepting, actually. It's nice." He stuck both of his hands in his pockets and stopped looking as jumpy. "Anyhow, training. This is the first official "class" I've ever taught. I mean, lets go sit and try and work on your partial transformation alright?" Allelujah offered her a soft smile.

Lacey nodded in understanding. "Ah, I understand now." She said. "Well, that explains why I never seen you, or even heard of you for that manner." She said. "Oh! I'm sorry if that came out as rude or offensive! I don't mean it. I just meant that I had never heard of you, and that explained why..." She stopped herself before she started rambling. She began to relax though as he smiled at her. She nodded. "Alright. Partial transformation it is then." She agreed.

He shrugged. "I tend to fly under the radar as much as I can. I only go on missions," Allelujah replied. The young man took Lacey's hand in his own carefully, interlocking their fingers. "Stein says the key to unlocking partial transformation is imagining the weapon residing in your soul. So just close your eyes and imagine a bit of your weapon form hanging out in your soul. After you have a clear picture, you focus on the body part you want to change." Allelujah didn't close his own eyes to demonstrate. Instead he simply released Lacey's hand. With a purple flash, his hand transformed into the glittering sword of his muramasa blade. "It's quite the tactic to master, but once you get it it's quite easy to control," his blade transformed back into a hand. "It's also tiring for new users. Wears me out, but not enough to the extent that a fifteen minute nap can't fix."

Lacey shrugged. "I wouldn't call myself a new user exactly as I've been going to the DWMA for two years, and have learned how to transform. I just want to get stronger, and be able to transform in smoother motions." She informed him, but continued to do what he said. The lance looked down at their connected hands, and watched as they separated and Allelujah turned his hand into a blade. Nodding, Lacey closed her eyes, and did as the death scythe told her to do. She imagined a part of her soul, and then her hand, becoming something more, becoming a part of her weapon, her blade. With a golden flash, her left hand became a shining blade, a streak of dark purple going through the center of it. She opened her eyes and smiled. "Wow... That's probably the fastest I've transformed." She said, amazed.

At some point in the lesson, a man walked into the hall. His purple hair seemed as if it was spiked backwards, but there wasn't a trace of any product within, almost as if it naturally grew as it did. He had on a black leather riding jacket, cargo pants and heavy boots; it really didn't seem as if he was here to hang out or learn, but there he was either way, sitting down on the floor towards the outside of the hall, watching the lesson Allelujah was giving closely. Watching as if he expected the Death Scythe to do something at any moment, his eyes rarely looking at anything other than either Allelujah or his pupil. 

OOC: I'm leaving this here for you to wonder about. Flair knows what's up, and I ask that you keep in mind that he is there, watching, but leave me out of the post order.

Allelujah smiled in satisfaction when he saw his student transform. They weren't his words, but regardless he was proud of Lacey. "Partial weapon form is an extremely-" he froze when he saw the purple haired man sit on the ground out of the corner of his eye. This made Hallelujah surface a bit more. What is he doing here? It's not like we're going to suddenly attack this girl just because she's here.. he muttered. The two consciousnesses briefly worked together to form one conclusion, and Allelujah turned to stare at the man. "He's watching all three of us," the death scythe breathed before he slowly turned back to Lacey. He paused to struggle for control with Hallelujah before forcing a smile at the weapon. "Ah, anyhow. As I was saying, it's typically pretty hard. It's good that you've mastered it," Allelujah pulled his knees to his chest and shrugged.

Lacey smiled as she saw her teacher smile, but her smile faltered when he suddenly stopped speaking. The lance looked up where the death scythe was staring and held back a gasp. There, a purple haired man sat there watching us. W-who is that? She wondered to herself. I-Is he an enemy? No, he would've attacked us by now, wouldn't he? She thought. Lacey turned to stare at Allelujah. "All three of us?" She repeated. "But there's only two of us..." She told him softly, ignoring his last statement.

"There's only two of us?" Allelujah flinched a bit and then seemed to refocus. "That's what I meant, two of us. Must have gotten a bit distracted," he shrugged and then went back to ignoring the purple haired man that was intently watching them. "I know him. He's just..making sure I train you properly, in a way," the death scythe explained. With that, Allelujah got to his feet. "How quick are you with your partial transformations? We can go a few rounds, if you'd like. I haven't fought with someone with just my partial transformation in ages," He offered.

Lacey nodded and shrugged it off, not letting it lay heavily on her mind. "A-alright... As long as he's an ally..." She said nonchalantly. She stood up after him and shrugged. "Fast enough." She told him. "I hope..." She muttered under her breath. "Sure. That sounds good. It'll be interesting to see how I fare against a death scythe." She commented.

At the mention of a fight, the purple haired stranger stood up off of the floor, simply leaning against the wall now. Even though he was a fair distance away from both of the weapons, he still seemed to know what they were saying.

When the stranger stood up, Allelujah narrowed his eyes. He said nothing for the moment on the topic, instead deciding to focus on his pupil. "Don't worry about being fast enough. I'll take it easy on you, and there's bandages inside if I accidentally nick you. You won't be in danger." The death scythe emphasized his words for Glyn's benefit, well aware why the meister was standing there and observing him. The incident with Hallelujah in the kishin egg nest hadn't gone..well. However, Allelujah had gained more control of Hallelujah--he thought. The death scythe hadn't been given the opprotunity to go on a mission to test his so called control. Here goes nothing, huh? Allelujah thought. His arm transformed into a blade again.

Lacey nodded. "Alright. Besides, even if you do nick me, I'll be far worse off in battle, where I could possibly lose my life. So a small cut won't bother me." She replied, turning her hand back into a blade. "So please, don't be afraid to make a mark on me. It'll be a learning thing for me, and it'll help me remember how to fix my mistakes." The lance commented. "Not like I'm not used to being hurt..." She muttered under her breath, thinking of all the scars she has on her back from living with her parents. She quickly shook the thoughts out of her mind. "Alright, I'm ready when you are."

"Always take advantage of your opponent's weakness and distractions," the death scythe muttered. Without much warning, Allelujah lunged at Lacey and took a swing at her. However, he was interrupted by a hiss in his head. What are you doing? Lunge to the left and fake her out. Right in the stomach! Hallelujah snapped. "It's called going easy on her!" he spat out, fumbling his attempted stab and nearly tripping over his own feet due to being berated by Hallelujah. Let me OUT! Hallelujah shouted, making Allelujah stagger back a bit. "No," he breathed, trying to put up the iron walls in his mind. He succeeded for the time being, regaining his posture and attempting to stab Lacey again.

Lacey just had time to figure out what was going on to jump out of the way, barely dodging his attack. She was confused though, when he suddenly started talking to himself, but didn't let that distract her. She couldn't afford to let it distract her. She then parried the second blow he threw at her. Then, while she was blocking Allelujah's attack, she turned her foot into a blade and attempted to land a kick on him.

The death scythe was too distracted to dodge the kick that Lacey threw at him, and the blade sliced right into his thigh. With a soft cry, Allelujah gave up his control as pain washed over him. The young man hit the ground as blood dripped out of his torn jeans. He paused to part his hair so that his golden eye was revealed briefly before standing up and transforming both of his hands. "That was great!" he praised in a deeper voice, grinning. "Now, let's show you something greater!" Hallelujah began to hit Lacey with blow after blow. However, he was only attempting to hit her with the butt of his blades-- Allelujah was fighting with every ounce of willpower he could muster not to actually cut her.
