"It's a good plan... We don't have a better one too... Let's do it." Luna said, still feeling a little bit uncomfortable about the fact that they had to rely on her wolf senses. "I'm afraid that it won't work without me transforming though." She added with a somewhat bitter tone.

Aurora's pace of eating definitely couldn't compete with Yurio's. However, it seemed like they were almost done eating anyway. Another fact was that Aurora's stomach definitely wasn't as big as his.

"Oh. Well, if I think of something else, we can do that instead," Ana said. There was something like a hint of a sparkle in her eyes as she looked at Luna sideways for a moment, which she did her best to hide. It made her a bit guilty, really, that despite the negativity associated with the animal form that Luna possessed Ana couldn't help but think about how fluffy she would be.

Nobody could beat Yurio in an eating contest if he really got into it, and he wouldn't even need to turn into his true form for it. He hoovered everything up in record time.

Luna took a deep breath and shook her head. "No, it's okay, I'll be fine. Probably." Luna said scratching her head. "So, where's the closest crime scene?" She finally asked, hoping Ana would lead the way. Being unaware of her partner's thoughts was probably for the best, in Luna's case. Even her magic wasn't able to fully nullify the stress of having to transform.

Aurora let out a satisfied sigh when she was done eating. "What were our plans for today?" She asked, just to make sure they didn't have anything important to do.

"Uhm..." Ana looked at the map she had made on her phone, looking around to try and make sure she knew where they were. Soon, she pointed towards a main street turning away from the river. "That way. I think."

"We didn't have any," Yurio said, propping his head up on the table now that he was done with his food.

Luna took a deep breath and started leading the way in the direction Ana pointed towards. "Alright..." She said quietly. "So, do we have any information on how the victim was killed and when exactly?" Luna asked Ana. The more they knew about the victims the more they knew about their targets.

"Hm..." Aurora murmured, crossing her arms on the chest. "Well then, we have to figure something out." She said, stretching her body.

"Attacks started a few months ago, and the method varies. Weapons are mostly just things you can get easily and abandon without issue," Ana said, still looking at the map over her surroundings, trusting Luna to do that in her stead. "Don't have scene by scene specifics, so we're going to have to figure it out."

"I'm not good at that," Yurio said, laying his head down with his arms extended across the table towards Aurora.

Luna wasn't too satisfied with that answer. Not enough details to figure out their targets' tactics, strengths, and general behavior. "How many victims?" Luna asked, frowning. She stopped for a second, closed her eyes and took another deep breath, before resuming the walk. "Sorry for that, my magic got slightly unstable for a moment. It's better now." Luna explained.

Aurora took both of his hands and intertwined their fingers. "Well, we could always go grab a cake at Nine-Tails, pay my parents a visit, or, I dunno, even check if Glyndwr is still alive." Aurora suggested.

"Take all the time you need if you feel anything is wrong, okay?" Ana said, tone gentle but worried nonetheless. She squeezed Luna's hand, hoping that a little reassuring gesture would help, too. "Okay. There are about 8 known victims attributed to this egg."

"After the pancakes, I'm not sure I want sweets, and Glyn's fine, so we might as well bother your parents. Thinking about it, I do need to get used to your mother..."

"Oh, don't worry too much. It's fine. The worst that can happen is that the failsafe in my robe will trigger." Luna said, smiling at Ana. "Eigth... That many souls wouldn't make it too strong... Although, it's still a lot." Luna commented.

Aurora tilted her head to her side curiously. "What do you mean 'get used to her'? You've known her for quite some time?" She asked, genuinely puzzled.

"Oh, I guess there is that too," Ana said, having had forgotten about the special features of Luna's robe besides the part that it cleans itself. "Down this alley," Ana said, looking up from the map to point towards the location of the attack.

"She's scary!" Yurio said, very much not joking, with the evidence of such written clearly on his now upturned face.

"Alright..." Luna responded, as she started walking in that direction. All of a sudden, she got more cautious, as if expecting to be ambushed. The chances of that happening were unlikely, but it was her instinct telling her to be careful.

"Really?" Aurora asked, raising her eyebrows. "I mean... maybe just a bit, sometimes, but..." She mumbled, rubbing her chin. It seemed like she really couldn't understand why Yurio was so scared of her mother. "Alright! I'll show you that my mom isn't as scary as you think she is." Aurora finally said with confidence.

Ana didn't think that they'd be jumped, considering that the egg wasn't known for reusing the same exact location, but the tension was still palpable. Everything was mostly cleaned out, but there were certainly dark patches in the alley. It seemed that the egg certainly wasn't one to do things with much care, but rather brute force.

"Okay," Yurio said, nodding after disentangling their hands and sitting up. "Yeah, it'd be a big help..."

Luna noticed those dark patches after a short moment and squatted near them. "Not much left for us to investigate, I guess..." She muttered, rather coldly. A part of her hoped they'd find some clue that hadn't been removed from the scene. "Time to transform, I suppose..." Luna said after a moment of just looking around. She snapped her fingers, which caused her body to glow with a blinding light. In a second her body magically morphed into a white wolf, that was slightly bigger than wolves usually are. She looked up at Ana and tilted her head to her side. "Ugh... I hate transforming... It makes me dizzy..." Wolf-Luna muttered.

"Then it's decided. Let's go! Mom is probably working today though." Aurora said.

There went the tension Ana was feeling. Luna was oh so very fluffy... Despite what she actually wanted to do, though, she stepped beside Luna and put a hand on her head to quell her desire to bury her face in her fur. "Well, when you're over the... Transformation sickness? Do your thing, I guess?"

"That's fine, it's not usually very bust at this time, right?" Yurio said, morphing the clothing on his body to what looked like jeans and hoodie, although the colouring was obviously not right.

"Uhm, would you like a moment to enjoy my fur first..?" Luna asked, noticing slight signs that suddenly Ana had different priorities. Well, a while to relive tension wouldn't kill anyone, right?

"Yeah, you're right." Aurora said with a nod. Then she watched Yurio's clothes morph. Every time he used that trick, she couldn't help but feel amazed and a little jealous at the same time. "Ugh, I wish I could create my own clothing using magic..." Aurora said, but quickly decided to retract that statement. "You know what, nevermind... Dispell is a thing..."

"That obvious..?" Ana asked as she sank down to her knees in order to best enjoy Luna's coat almost immediately. Practically hanging off of Luna's neck, she gave in to her wants and buried her face in Luna's fur while running her fingers through it at the same time. "Sho fuffy..!" She mumbled against Luna.

"I don't need dispel to get you out of your clothes, anyway," Yurio said as he stood up, sticking his tongue out at Aurora. He then wondered off to put on, at least, his real shoes. No need to wait around as far as he was concerned.

"Just a hunch." Luna replied and closed her eyes. She giggled at Ana's reactions to touching her fur. It was really, really cute, despite the grim situation they were in. "You're so cute..." Luna said as she turned her head to look at Ana. If she could, she would smile at her.

Aurora stared at Yurio for a moment, speechless. From time to time, she was raising her finger like she was about to say something, but she couldn't. With time, her face was getting constantly redder. When he walked off she finally managed to shake off her initial shock and then she went to put her own shoes on. "First of all, that was smooth... Second of all, true. Third of all, don't say that near my parents." Was all Aurora managed to say on the topic.

"You're cute too, wolf or not," Ana said as she leaned away from huffing Luna fur. She gave Luna one final hug as she stood herself up and brushed herself off. "Now that that's done, I think we should get to work again."

Yurio seemed to pale at the thought of even thinking about saying something like that in front of Eliza and Dalibor. He wasn't sure which one was worse, because one would want to make him die and he felt the other would straight up go to every length to truly make him dead. "I wouldn't dare..." he said, finally.

"If... If wolves could blush... I'd be all red right now..." Luna said, feeling all embarrassed. Once the time for being cute and lovely was over, she started sniffing around the crime scene, trying to catch the scent of their target. If it even was possible. Luna knew she looked like a dog at that moment and for some reason, it was also somewhat embarrassing.

"Actually, don't say anything similar near my dad. I have a feeling my mom would just give us her blessing, in her own devilishly special way... Uh, can shame kill? You know what, nevermind! Let's just go..." Aurora said, before stepping out of the apartment.

Ana giggled at Luna admitting to her embarrassment, then simply followed close behind her as she searched for scents. "We'll take a look at the next scene, then you can see if there's anything that matches, okay?"

"Yeah, I'd die," Yurio said, following behind, not mentioning that he just went through each scenario in his head.

"Sure. Sounds like a plan. Do I have to stay in my wolf form..?" Luna said and then asked. Just to make sure. She hoped the answer would be negative. However, knowing life and her luck, anything could happen.

"Yeah. Me too." Aurora said, before she left the building. Once they were on the street and headed towards the cafe, she suddenly facepalmed. "Hey, wanna hear the lamest pick-up line ever?" She asked Yurio.

"Well, no, people would freak if they saw a wolf roaming Paris," Ana said, shaking her head. "And you're big for a wolf, too."

"Sure, go on, can't be that bad," Yurio said, falling in beside Aurora.

"Am I a fat wolf?" Luna asked innocently. She'd clearly never seen a real wolf before. After asking that question, she transformed into her human form and sighed in relief. She felt much, much more comfortable in her human form.

"Hey baby, are you magical? Because you're like dispell for my clothes!" Aurora said with a straight face, before bursting out with laughter. It was so stupid and lame, she just couldn't help, but laught at it.

"No, you're a big one. Like, a dire wolf, or something," Ana said as she returned to the side of human-Luna. "There's nothing fat about you. Well... There is one bit, but I'd call that big rather than fat, too," Ana said, blushing a little. "Anyway, lets go on. This way to the next one!"

Yurio groaned and stuck a palm in his face just as Aurora did just before. "It totally is that bad..."

Luna blinked confused at the 'big not fat' comment Ana had made. "W-What do you mean? What's that big bit?" She asked, clearly too curious to give up on finding the answer to her question. It seemed like her innocence was kicking in despite being under the effects of her magic.

"I know, right?!" Aurora exclaimed, then laughed again. "I hate myself sometimes." She said, rubbing her eye.
